I wish we could get married all over again and have Julie by our side. We worked with Julie for the year leading up to our wedding and every step of the way was a pleasure. We had considered not having a planner, and Julie's direction, support, setup and day-of execution showed us how wrong we were! She was so adaptable during the planning process with setting up calls, meeting in person, and collaborating with our vendors. Her experience in the industry helped guide many decisions, while she also maintained a lot of flexibility for our vision and helping to make our wedding feel unique and personal. She received all our requests with a can-do attitude; she advocated for us with our other vendors and helped clarify the nitty gritty details. She was so on top of our rain plan and went above and beyond to adjust our setup so that we could remain stress-free with any last-minute changes. Her organization really helped ensure that we had everything covered, and she provided lots of items that would have been one-time purchases for the wedding. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and I don't think that would have been true without Julie. Everything flowed so seamlessly and allowed us to be in a state of flow, rarely thinking about what came next. She not only co-created our vision, but she took it to the next level of beautiful. She was always a step or two ahead of us on our wedding day, whilst enabling us to soak up the present moment. She managed everything from bringing us water during down time, keeping my bouquet safe, and transitioning the space as the night progressed while she also collaborated with our vendors to create a seamless evening. She brought composure, direction, and joy to our rehearsal and wedding, emanating a powerful confidence and ease that buoyed us the whole way! I could go on and on... Julie was an absolute dream to work with and truly the backbone of our wedding planning process. From the very beginning, she was incredibly organized, thoughtful, and proactive, which immediately put us at ease. Her calm, confident presence made even the most overwhelming parts of planning feel manageable.
Julie attended all of our vendor appointments with us and was instrumental in helping us make decisions on wine selections and tableware, always offering expert guidance while keeping our vision in mind. She coordinated seamlessly with our band and venue to create a clear, well-structured timeline and ensure the setup was executed perfectly.
She also went above and beyond by letting us borrow decorative details like votives and easels for our signage, which saved us from having to buy or rent additional items and was such a thoughtful, generous touch.
On the wedding day, Julie’s calm confidence was invaluable. Because of her, we were able to fully relax and enjoy our day, knowing everything was in the best possible hands. We cannot recommend Julie highly enough. -

Julie was our best decision of our entire wedding, which is saying a lot because our day was perfect and we worked with a lot of incredible vendors. We were initially overwhelmed by what it would take to plan a wedding, and from the very first call, Julie put us at ease that we would be able to put together a day that fit who we are. We had a lot of decision paralysis, but with every call, Julie cut down the task list into bite sized pieces and focused on what needed to be done more immediately vs what could be back burnered and we left every call feeling 10x better and much more on task. She listened to what was important to us (for example fitting in a hike the morning of) and gave us suggestions and recommendations for how we would make that happen. She also helped us find many of our vendors - providing numerous recommendations of vendors that she had good experiences with in the past or even sourcing more from her network.
On the weekend of, Julie was so organized and calm. More than willing to engage in last minute detail brainstorming (like figuring out if we use a table runner or not). If there were any fires on the day of, we had absolutely no idea. Her and her assistant, Sydney, were calm, cool, collected, and so fun while simultaneously doing EVERYTHING. They kept us hydrated, showing up at our sides with cups/water bottles all throughout the day & night, and truly allowed us to stay present and not worry about a thing.
We may not have made it to the alter without Julie. What a godsend. -

My wife and I got engaged in Boston in 2023 and shortly thereafter relocated to our hometown area of Connecticut. We both have deep roots in the great State of Vermont and knew immediately we wanted to celebrate our wedding in the greater Burlington area.
We began our search for a venue and quickly realized we would need help if we were to pull off the wedding we both pictured. After some online research, a few phone interviews and discussion with our families, we decided we would entrust our big day with Julie Olson.
Throughout our 2 year engagement, our relationship with Julie grew well beyond trusted advice. We could tell that she genuinely cared about our vision and wanted to see it come to life as much as we did. Her style stretches beyond positivity and simple words of encouragement. While she certainly tells you what you’re doing right, more importantly, she isn’t afraid to tell you when you’re at risk of making a mistake; which is probably what we are most grateful for in hindsight.
Having someone as experienced as Julie, especially as an out-of-State couple investing in a Vermont wedding, is completely invaluable. She knew all the best local vendors on a first name basis, helped us coordinate ALL the day-of details/timeline, setting up/breaking down our entire reception (even offering to share her own wedding decor), and kept our entire ceremony/reception flowing perfectly. With about 20 different vendor staff members onsite for our wedding, Julie was able to effectively communicate and ensure the team was all on the same page both before and during the day.
True story.. My wife had an entire espresso martini dumped on her wedding dress within the first five minutes of our cocktail hour and Julie (and her assistant) miraculously cleaned her dress so you couldn’t even see it, calmed our nerves and kept our night flowing like it never happened.
If you are considering Julie Olson for your wedding, I can guarantee she is worth every penny. -

Julie is hands down the best wedding coordinator! I can’t recommend her enough. From the start, she went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend perfect.
My husband and I were unsure about a lot of things, but Julie was so patient and understanding. She took the time to show us multiple venues and always listened to our feedback. When we decided to go a more untraditional route, Julie was completely supportive and made sure everything was well-coordinated.
Throughout the planning process, Julie made everything so easy. She recommended amazing vendors, kept us on track, and always responded quickly to any questions. Even though she was working with many other couples, I always felt like I was her only client.
On the wedding day, Julie was a lifesaver. I was able to focus entirely on enjoying the day, knowing Julie was handling all the details. She calmed my nerves, made sure everything went smoothly, and was there to offer a drink or appetizer when I needed it.

Amazing wedding planner!
Julie did an amazing job helping us plan and coordinate our wedding day. She is very professional and her expertise really made our day flow smoothly. She had planned for every set back and really thought of everything. When my husband met up with her to do our first look, he had just had coffee and realized he needed a breath mint. Julie had one ready to go in her pocket! Also, her assistant, Sydney, did a great job helping us throughout the first look and photos- making sure we were drinking water and carrying everything we needed. Because of them, I was not stressed out on my wedding day, I had the ability to focus on the day and remember everything. More importantly, my mom got to do the same. Because of Julie, our dreams for the most important day of our life became a reality. We went with Julie's full package, and this was undoubtedly the best decision we made in preparation for our wedding; her expert advice alone would've been enough, but Julie helped us through every step of the way.
To start we had regular virtual meetings, where we began brainstorming how we wanted our wedding to look and feel. Julie was always organized and gave us the peace of mind we wouldn't fall behind or miss anything that needed to be done. Anything she could take care of for us, she did.
Practically every other vendor we hired knew and loved working with Julie, and now it's clear to us why. Besides who we chose before meeting her, she gave us suggestions on other vendors in the area, and we can confidently say there wasn't a single hire we regret. She joined every vendor meeting we asked her to, and handled a lot of the back and forth communication ensuring we got the most out of everyone. Julie had a lot of extra wedding supplies that proved to be tasteful, and saved us a lot of money.
On our wedding day she was everywhere at once, and ensured it all went smoothly. Anything you could fathom needing, she somehow had on her. Julie ensured all we had to focus on was enjoying the moment. In the past I have gotten advice that things always go wrong during weddings and that you have to accept it; but that was just not the case for us, and we know that's because of Julie. She held our hands through the whole process and made such a complex event seem routine. We cannot thank her enough and hope to keep in touch with her! -

Julie is an exceptionally attentive and talented event planner— and so wonderful to work with. She did a superb job coordinating all of our wedding details and executing our wedding vision.
My now-husband and I were living in California while planning our wedding in upstate New York, which made the planning process a bit tricky— enlisting Julie’s help to liaise with vendors, think through our design scheme, and organize the event logistics leading up to the wedding was invaluable. Through all of this, she was timely, professional and (even with the time difference) extremely responsive.
On the wedding day, we could breathe easy and enjoy each moment (same with my parents too!), knowing that Julie had everything under control. Feeling present (and not stressed) was priceless, and we have Julie to thank for that!

We truly cannot say enough about what an amazing wedding planner Julie is. Our vision after getting engaged was to host a large wedding in the field beside my family’s home. We hired Julie having zero idea of where to start and she jumped in immediately to help us prioritize what needed to be done, evaluate (various!) logistical challenges, and build a timeline. She made herself available to us whenever we had questions, checked in about loose ends, made many phone calls, and helped us fill in the blanks with great vendor recommendations. The week of the wedding she went above and beyond checking in, visiting our site, and coordinating moving pieces. Perhaps most importantly Julie consistently made us feel like we were truly her only clients. She’s a kind and supportive presence, keeps her cool when things inevitably come up, and was fully present to hear us (or our family members!) out when we had a new idea or concern. Having our wedding on my family's land was not an easy feat, but Julie clearly recognized and respected how much it meant to us and our loved ones. The day was perfect, and we keep hearing from friends and family that our wedding was the best party they’ve ever attended, none of which would have mean possible without her. A month later, though we don’t miss the time commitment that comes with planning a wedding, my husband and I agree that the one thing we do miss are our monthly meetings with Julie. She is truly both a wonderful person and a skilled professional. We are so grateful for everything she did for us and would recommend her services one hundred times over! -

Julie, our day-of wedding coordinator, exceeded all expectations and played an indispensable role in making our special day perfect. From the outset, Julie was incredibly proactive and attentive to every detail.
When I accidentally left a crucial basket of items at the venue needed for our rehearsal dinner, Julie went out of her way to deliver it to me, ensuring I arrived at the dinner on time. She also visited our hotel to collect and transport items for the wedding, setting everything up seamlessly at the venue.
Her vendor recommendations were invaluable, saving us both hundreds of dollars and hours of planning. Julie’s rates were incredibly reasonable, and given her exceptional service, she is truly worth her weight in gold. She also generously let us borrow various items like a card box, decor, easel, and frames, which added a personal touch to our wedding. Her spreadsheets, complete with helpful links, were a lifesaver for organizing our plans.
Julie was also meticulous in contacting all of the vendors, ensuring everyone was on the same page and keeping communication flowing smoothly. This coordination was crucial in ensuring that all aspects of the wedding came together flawlessly.
After the wedding, Julie had all our items meticulously organized and sorted for us to collect the next day. Her patience with me and my opinionated family was remarkable, and her assistant Sydney was equally friendly and supportive.
We initially booked Maquam 19 months before our wedding and did extensive research on vendors. Being from out of state, we needed someone familiar with the area and its contacts. Julie’s name frequently appeared in other weddings we admired, and a recommendation from a bride who had the same venue confirmed her exceptional reputation.

We hired Julie Olson as our wedding planner for our daughter's wedding in the Vermont Wedding Barn, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Julie was professional, attentive, creative, and friendly throughout the whole process. She listened to our daughter's vision and preferences, and helped us find the best vendors, venues, and details for her big day. She also handled all the coordination, communication, and logistics with ease and efficiency. She was always available to answer our questions, offer suggestions, and solve any issues that arose. She went above and beyond to make our daughter's wedding a dream come true.
Our daughter's wedding in the Vermont Wedding Barn was perfect, thanks to Julie Olson. The barn was beautifully decorated with flowers, lights, and rustic elements. The ceremony was romantic and heartfelt, with a stunning view of the mountains. The reception was fun and lively, with delicious food, drinks, music, and dancing. The guests were impressed and delighted by the whole experience. The photos and videos captured by the photographer and videographer were amazing and memorable.

Julie and her team are absolutely top notch. She is an affable, insightful, organized and experienced coordinator who was a delight to work with.
We hired Julie to be the day-of coordinator for our wedding about 9 months before our special day this past August.
Leading up to our wedding, Julie was so helpful - making sure we remained on track to book all of our vendors, adding input to our ideas, giving us recommendations when we were clueless, talking us off a ledge when we needed it - and never letting us lose sight of our vision. She lent us small pieces of decor and furniture from her own collection - saving us some money and stress with these simple but impactful elements.
The day of our wedding was an absolute dream. We put a lot of work into planning a weekend that was 100% us. When the time came for us to let go and let Julie take control, she was flawless. Not only did she execute our vision, she found small extra ways to make our day even better.
Some people say that your wedding day is the best day of your life - which is 100% true for us, and we owe much of that to Julie and her team's ability to execute on our dream. She went above and beyond, doing things like helping to find last minute babysitters, putting our favorite flowers on our place setting, or packing us a to-go box of our dinner so we had something to eat when we got home from our weekend.
We would get married again just to have Julie be our day-of coordinator. We won't, but we would know who to call if we did. -

There are not enough positive words to describe our experience with Julie - She was absolutely instrumental in the success of our wedding and bringing our vision to life! The short version of this review is that if you're looking for a Coordinator you can trust to execute your vision flawlessly and make the planning process as smooth as possible, Julie is hands down the best choice!
Our wedding took place at Paradox Brewery in North Hudson NY - It was their first ever wedding on site (and obviously our first wedding too), so no one on our wedding team had experience in planning these events, and that's where Julie was absolutely instrumental. We originally were only looking for a day-of coordinator (which is a service Julie offers as well), but it was immediately clear that her Partial Planning service was more in-line our true needs. Julie went to work right away, giving us manageable homework we could do on our own, and hunting down vendors herself she had worked with in the past. Specifically, at that time in our planning process, there were ZERO DJ's available on our wedding date that would travel to our venue, but Julie leveraged her relationships with other vendors in the area, and her reputation with the Entertainment company from prior events allowed us to hire a top-notch DJ that otherwise would not have been available to us.
Julie went above and beyond in every other aspect of planning too. She was always available when we had questions or needed help (even during the crazy busy summer wedding season). She helped us fine-tune ideas and make our (sometimes outlandish) vision a reality. She was truly a third teammate throughout the entire process.
Although Julie was pivotal in the planning process, it was nothing compared to the immeasurable help and support from her during the wedding weekend itself! Julie picked up our flowers herself so we didn't have to worry about doing errands the morning of the wedding, she helped to set up the venue, decor, and table layout so we could focus on the rehearsal dinner. She facilitated the rehearsal and made everyone feel comfortable and confident on what they needed to do during the ceremony. She made sure we had something to eat and drink and coordinated a private moment for us immediately following the ceremony so we could spend quality time together. Julie even helped with tear-down and clean up the morning after the wedding so we could attend a farewell breakfast with all our guests. Julie truly helped us to be present for our wedding day, to appreciate all the big and small moments of our wedding, and really enjoy time with our guests who had come so far to be there - It is not an exaggeration to say this wedding would not have been our dream wedding without Julie.
Finally, a quick note about pricing - We were on a very tight budget going in to planning, as I think many couples are. We were hesitant to invest a larger portion of our funds towards coordination/planning services, however this was far and away the best use of our wedding budget, without a doubt. Not only did Julie save us so much stress through the several months that we worked with her, but she was so generous in letting us use items she had in her decor collection that would have otherwise been very expensive one-time purchases. The value we received from Julie far exceeded the price of her services.

The best wedding planner!
Julie Olson is amongst the best wedding planners out there. She is organized, communicates effectively, warm and kind, and highly experienced in wedding planning. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel calm, prepared and excited for our big day. It was such a comfort knowing that Julie was with us all weekend long. She has a back-up plan for anything that might come up day of. We loved working with Julie and we highly recommend her to anyone who wants a thoughtful, well planned out, smooth wedding day!

Our wedding day was a dream! Julie helped us with the entire wedding process our and we can not recommend her enough!
We needed some help with being able to formulate and verbalize our vision, and develop it along the way.
Julie was there for us as we created our perfect day!
She kept us on task (giving us attainable timelines and homework). Julie was extremely communicative (with us and our vendors), supportive, and involved in all the ways we needed.
There were times where we needed some lessons in speaking up and some help in feeling validated... and Julie was there to step in (in a professional and kind way). She really enabled us to feel confident in our decisions and like we fully understood every detail of the planning process (like vendor contracts).
She was also able to mitigate some interpersonal dynamics. (some people around us had their own opinions and personalities that she was able to help redirect -whew!)
Having her as our go-to for all questions and concerns took away a huge amount of stress and allowed us to keep coming back to what mattered... the fun!
Working with Julie is choosing to always have some one with immense knowledge, compassion, a sense of humor, a willingness to take charge, and impeccable organizational skills in your corner. I know we certainly needed all of those things!
Most importantly she felt like family- (the kind you want to be involved in all the planning). We're so happy/grateful we were able to work with her! -

Julie is hands-down the best. We are SO grateful that we were introduced to Julie early on in our wedding process. We worked with her as a day-of coordinator, but she did so much more. She was a source of reason throughout the planning process and went above and beyond. Our wedding day turned out to be incredibly rainy, and she took all the stress of the weather and change of plans just executed everything perfectly. I'm not sure what we would have done without Julie. Work with her if given the chance! -

Julie and her team are AMAZING! She was the best money we spent for our wedding. She helped us with so many decisions along the way, kept our heads on straight, and guided us in the right direction when we needed it. She works her butt off on the wedding day and is truly the glue that keeps everything together. I recommend her to everyone I know who is getting married in VT. She was indispensable at my sisters wedding this summer. Although the venue provided a "day of coordinator", it would have been a nightmare without Julie keeping everything running smoothly! -

Julie was our three-day weekend, three event wedding planner/sensei/spirit guide the months leading up to the wedding, and it was like she had superpowers during the events. Her intuition was uncanny; we would feverishly think of something that we needed just to turn around and find Julie holding it with a big smile on her face. Julie’s suggestions leading up to the events were spot on, and her strong relationships with local vendors allowed us to pluck the crown jewels of the area. Our wedding absolutely would not have happened without Julie. She helped us shape the vision for our wedding from the start, connected us with the best vendors in the area, helped us keep track of the tiniest details, and gave us the reality checks we needed along the way.
As the forecast for our wedding day got progressively rainier, Julie coordinated everyone and pivoted our plans seamlessly so that we had a great rain plan in place for the day of. We remained blissfully ignorant of the couple of small fires that came up on our wedding day until Julie told us about them the day after. Our rainy wedding day was magical and all of our guests had a great time.

I truly cannot even begin to express how incredible Julie and her team are. Leading up to our wedding Julie was communicative, organized and extremely efficient. She stayed on top of all the big and small things leading up to our big day. She was there to guide us through our wedding timeline, choosing vendors and everything in between to ensure our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of!
On the day of our wedding Julie ensured everything ran smoothly, on time and according to plan! I had multiple guests and bridal party members come up to me and say "Julie and her assistant are so organized and so nice".

Julie made our wedding day perfect. She was so warm and welcoming and attentive to our needs from the very beginning when we started working her last summer all the way up to the big day. She also replied quickly to our questions and checked in with us often beforehand. She was so organized and so knowledgeable and attended meetings with our vendors with us. Leading up to the big day, she checked in often and kept us on track. She was also so helpful in leading our rehearsal at the church and everything went so smoothly. We are so happy we trusted her with our wedding. We didn’t need to worry about a thing and let Julie work her magic. We were so blown away by how well the wedding day went. Julie and her assistant Sydney were everywhere and anywhere providing their assistance, and checking in on my husband and I, our families, and our bridal party. They took care of EVERYTHING that day. We’ve heard horror stories of the bride and groom not having time to eat but Julie and Sydney brought us both plates of a a bit of each item on our menu. We were able to spend time just the two of us taking in the venue and enjoying the meal. The best decision!
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day and I owe that to Julie! She made the process of wedding planning easier than I thought possible. She seamlessly coordinated all of our details leading up to the wedding with both church and reception venues.
On the day of the wedding she was the calm that I needed as the bride, and simultaneously was getting everything done behind the scenes. Every last detail was perfectly executed! Hiring Julie was by far the best decision I made in the wedding process.

Julie is a powerhouse wedding planner. She is incredible at getting things done quickly and efficiently. She is organized and always has a plan to make sure everything is accounted for. She is creative and brings warmth and love to every aspect of the special day. Or in our case- our several special days!! Julie planned an elaborate wedding for 200 people in Vermont for us that we had to cancel due to covid. Instead she helped us transform our own backyard in Boston into a magical wedding venue for 25, socially distanced guests. Even though it wasn't what we originally planned, Julie made it THE perfect day. She also had the wonderful idea to use our vendor deposits in Vermont to plan an unforgettable Friendsgiving celebration for 50 people a year later. We are so grateful to have had Julie as our wedding planner. Having someone so helpful and knowledgeable to guide us, answer questions and to reassure us we were on the right track with planning was invaluable. Julie always answered emails quickly and we left each check-in meeting with a clear idea of what to work on next. She helped make sure we stayed on budget and connected us with other great vendors.
During our wedding weekend Julie was onsite helping bring everything together. She played an integral role in bringing our vision to life and made sure each decoration was in the perfect place. On the wedding day, she and her assistant took care of everything. She allowed us to enjoy our day by coordinating with vendors, making sure we had breaks to relax and take time to ourselves, and by bringing us food and drinks throughout the night.
Beyond being helpful and professional, everyone involved in the wedding enjoyed her company - we all found ourselves repeating, “Julie’s really great” throughout the weekend.

Am I am the type of bride that has been planning my wedding since I was 10. I first met Julie when I was in another wedding and watched her work her magic and knew that when it was my turn, I had to have her.
