Whether an intimate dinner or a grand event, I believe entertaining is all about making people happy. For me, there’s no greater joy than making someone feel extra special, seeing them laugh and smile and spin around the dance floor. After decades of planning and hosting parties, one of my proudest moments was when I overheard someone say, “This is the best wedding dinner I’ve ever been to. No, scratch that. This is the best party I’ve ever been to!” Music to my ears.
I’ve had the great pleasure of hosting over-the-top charity events, grand soirees, bridal and baby showers, brand launches, anniversary and birthday parties, weddings and celebration dinners. Some were to raise money for a good cause, while others were to raise spirits or honor significant milestones. No matter the occasion or size, one thing is for sure—it takes a village.
Over the years of hosting events, I’ve compiled a team of people and resources I like to call my A-team. In addition to my in-house staff of event coordinators, chefs, servers, and bartenders, I have a preferred list of vendors I can trust to execute any style of event. Together we've been hosting successful events at Jula's on the Potomac (formerly Cafe 44) since 2017.
