I loved my dress and experience working with Joy. I even had my photographer come to take photos during the fittings and Joy's process of making the dress. She actually was able to take two family dresses and made one dress along with adding her own amazing signature details. It was a special tribute to family and so loved having it documented. Joy made my dress and it was perfect!
It was silver, with black flowers in a mermaid cut and it was exactly like me! I felt like she knew my style just by looking at me. When I put it on I didn't feel like some girl in a white dress getting married, I felt like ME! It was so wonderful finding someone who could tell I didn't want to be like every other bride, I just wanted to be me at my wedding...and look good! HA
The dress was designed for my body, so it was perfect.

Joy is a dress designer, so we worked together to create my dress. It came together in about two and a half months, from April to July. She had a set price, and then from there I was able to choose the fabrics and the dress was created/evolved over about five fittings. She was responsive to emails and calls, and took out a seam when I wasn't happy with how the skirt looked at first. We worked together to brainstorm solutions, so that every detail, down to turquoise satin-covered buttons on the back, was hand-made and just as I wanted it to be. It's good to be very clear with Joy, or ask her a lot of questions about how she constructs things, because she likes to move quickly, but she was never dismissive or impatient with me. I liked her very much, and was very pleased with the fit, comfort, and style of my dress.
