With a destination wedding, we decided to use John for our engagement photos here in DC and boy are we glad we did! John was very flexible, especially when our initial outdoor shoot date was rained out. My fiance and I have never done professional photography, but John quickly put us at ease and was very professional knowing what type of shots would look good. He provided us with a link to our photos and links to download the originals. We couldn't be happier with the final photos, and would easily recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and quality photographer in the DC area.

John Robinson is amazingly talented and very professional. As a 2015 bride I was beyond thankful we got a chance to work with him. He has the creativity to imagine a scene and arrange us accordingly. He was a joy to work with and made 5 AM before work seem like an afternoon with friends. John made us feel like supermodels for a few hours. Our relaxed smiles and personality shows in our photos. He provided useful advice, helping us make sure we looked our best between the combination of light and angles. He was a fantastic listener and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. He edited every photo to perfection the first time. Opening our photos we were in awe, admiring each shot- there were too many beautiful photos to choose from. We loved working with him and have recommended him to every friend and family member in need of photography. His eye for creativity, fun approach to shoots and talent for editing make his work excellent. You can’t go wrong by hiring him.

John was great to work with for our engagement pictures! He was very responsive, and was flexible in scheduling our photo session. We spoke beforehand so that we would know what to expect and how to prepare. He gave good suggestions for locations, and he knew which spots to photograph at these locations which allowed him to work very efficiently. He made sure we were comfortable and having fun which resulted in a very natural and relaxed feel in all of our photographs. He gave us some direction, but allowed our natural behavior to come through in the pictures which we really appreciated. The photos turned out beautifully!

From the beginning, he was so approachable and helpful while we were planning how we wanted to record our wedding day. He understood our vision of balancing out traditional pictures (to satisfy our parents requests) and candid party pictures (to help us remember the fun). He came to our houses while we were getting ready with members of the bridal party and took pictures there. He did a great job working with the dark, poorly lit church that our ceremony was in and made it look beautiful, capturing the light from some stain glass windows I didn't even notice before looking at his pictures! He was so professional and on his game with an unruly bridal party (20 people) while we were taking pictures around the golf course at the country club before the reception. He was relaxed and calm, despite being on his feet all day on an unseasonably hot day. He was patient with all the varying requests and brought such a relaxed presence that made us calm down and really appreciate everything that was going on around us. He somehow remained behind the scenes while still capturing every special moment of the day. He truly has an eye for the details and presenting them in such an artistic and thoughtful way.
