We hired Jess & Joel as our videographers for our wedding day, and it was, by far, one of the best decisions we made for our special day! Not only did they produce two wedding videos (our teaser and our film) that were beyond stunning and captured our day so perfectly, but they are also just really wonderful, fun people to work with! Our COVID wedding definitely wasn’t what we imagined – in fact, it was probably our Plan C or D down our list of deviations from our original plan, due to all of the restrictions in place, not to mention the impact of Northern California fires! Nevertheless, Jess & Joel were extremely flexible with all the changes, and were instrumental in making sure our Zoom-wedding was arranged with all of the new equipment needed. Our wedding was streamed via Zoom using Joel’s camera equipment, which made it truly feel as though you were outside on the balcony with us. And the final product of our wedding film was more than we could have ever imagined, and captured our intimate moments, as well as our virtual dance party in such a creative, perfect way! We are so unbelievably blessed to have these memories to look back on from our special day, and will cherish them for a lifetime! Thank you SO, SO much, Jess & Joel!

JJ Films, where to start! Firstly, we could not have been happier with what JJ Films produced for us. Joel was onsite with us and was such a delight to work with. He has such a calm and friendly energy. It’s the type that you just don’t worry, and he’s got everything in order.

Joel captured moments that we didn’t even realize. He’s like a videographer ninja! The editing abilities of JJ Films is incredible too. They can take moments perfect or imperfect and carve them up into something beautiful that captures the romance of your special day. They absolutely did this for us. It is easy to feel like you possibly ruined a moment, and we had a few fumbles, but Joel had us covered!

I love that they also provide you with social media reels so you can share previews with friends and family or simply text them the mini reels.
We are so happy with what JJ Films produced for us. I still tear up with joy when I watch our videos!

To put into words how amazing these two people are at what they do, it’s simply amazing! For never meeting in person until the week of the wedding and FaceTiming once, they are the most down to earth, genuine, kind people you’ll ever meet! They make you feel so comfortable and like you’ve know them your whole life. When we decided on a destination wedding, I knew I needed to find someone who would capture the best day of our lives! The day goes by so fast that you don’t really get to take it all in, luckily for me, Jess and Joel captures all of that in their work. The video is amazing and something we’ll cherish forever! If you’re going back and forth on a video, I would HIGHLY recommend it. And extremely recommend JJ Films, they did so great and it truly is the most magical and breathtaking video I could’ve ever have dreamed of! Thank you, sooo much!

Jess and Joel were simply amazing, their work is breathtaking and the quality is beyond expectations. We honestly couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism these two exhibited throughout the entire process. They're extremely knowledgeable, sweetly personable, and I mean they're just fun to be around. It's clear that they love what they do, and their passion really shines through when you see the finished product.

I know there are billions of videographers that you can go with, and i'm sure they'll all be good. But Jess and Joel bring a very human aspect to their work, and its simply awesome watching them work with each other. It's clear to me that you want to work with passionate people, and in that regard Jess and Joel are second to none.

Not only that, they are amazing at staying low key. Our guests had no idea we even had videographers, and countless guests had asked us why we did not hire any videographers. And that is simply a testament to their abilities and tradecraft, numerous times I wondered where they were, only to be surprised finding them shooting directly at me, but between gaps of people, behind objects, or simply from afar.

I cannot recommend them enough, they are excellent to work with throughout all process of the wedding, from the onboarding and scheduling to the day of. Thank you so much Jess and Joel, you've blessed us with memories that we didn't know we had, moments that were captured that would have been lost. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I can’t say enough about JJ Films. I found them on Instagram and noticed that they were the only wedding videographers that made me feel something. Their work makes you feel nostalgic, happy, and emotional - they capture all of the important moments and bring you right back to your special day. We had an amazing experience with them from the start. They provided super quick replies and Joel walked me through everything and answered all of my questions. He made me feel completely at ease and that made the wedding planning process fun. OKAY, now I can gush about them as humans. They are the cutest, sweetest, most down to earth humans you will ever meet. Any idea that popped up on the wedding day, they were game. They were so flexible, kind, fun and warm - they seriously feel like family and made us so comfortable. We wouldn’t have chosen anyone else to capture our day. They sent us the teaser within a week - WHAT?! Unheard of. Then we received the full video wrapped up in the sweetest package. Seriously, book them yesterday. They will be the best decision you made for your wedding.

Joel and Jess were the best decision I made for our wedding day. It's like they weren't even there but yet captured so many unforgettable moments and made a montage of feelings into a beautiful video. We've watched it over and over again and I cry every time. Even friends of friends who are strangers to us have cried. They also took some still shots and sent us polaroids of them as well as the raw files. We feel SO incredibly lucky that we found JJ Films as our videographers. Since we were from Canada, having our wedding in Hawaii, we didn’t have an opportunity to meet in-person until the morning of our wedding day. However, it didn't matter as we felt an instant ease and comfort that was so reassuring for a day when there was so much to think about.

After seeing samples of their work, we had no doubt that they were were going to create something emotional, heartfelt and beautiful, but they really captured US so perfectly. It was all that we wanted and more! These guys make such beautiful films - from the imagery, to the music, etc. Everyone needs these guys to make a video of them, to make them feel like movie stars and to give them all the feels!!

Also, we received our video so quickly after our wedding - within 3 weeks we got our Instagram video sneak peek and then a week after we got the full video. This was incredibly quick in our minds given the quality we got back, which is a testament to how talented these guys are! You have to hire them for your wedding - you won't regret it!!

Joel was such an incredible addition to our wedding day. He had the exact vibe we were wanting when we started our search for a videographer: chill, relaxed, go with the flow, funny and kind. Being wedding photographers ourselves, the visual team we hired was really important to us and from the moment we found Joel online, his work blew us away. We flew him out to Texas for our wedding and he was flexible with us on timing, and even ended up surprising us by showing up early and filming a ton of footage of the venue - he was really on top of everything. Right after our ceremony, he came up to us and said, "Guys. That was one of the most beautiful first looks I've gotten to witness, you could really feel the love." and that was one of the most memorable parts of the day. Joel is genuine and cares a lot about getting footage of the day but definitely not in an obnoxious, obtrusive way - he films it exactly as it happens and it's beautiful! His videos definitely speak for themselves, but you won't regret hiring Joel!

I originally wasn’t sure if I was going to hire a videographer. My (now) husband and I really liked the Super 8 films but they were just so expensive and I wasn’t sure if we could afford it. After searching through a lot of different videographers, I stumbled upon Joel from another company’s referral. What I found in Joel was 100x better than what I initially wanted and ever expected. I feel like his work combines the clarity of digital film with the cool Super 8 vintage look. Not only is his style amazing, but you can tell through his work that he’s an extremely talented film maker. He has a way of capturing the right moments and angles that help built the story. In addition, his editing and music selection are top notch. I can’t express enough how happy I am that Joel was our videographer. What a pleasure it was for us to have him capture our day. Out of all of the vendors I booked, Joel is one that I am most happy and satisfied with. 100% you should book him now. I’m not even exaggerating; his work is amazing, period.

Joel and his assistant (sorry cant remember his name) were wonderful o work with. They came to the venue and waited patiently as us girl finalized our hair and make up and took some great footage I'm sure of all the chaos! if you are looking for a professional videographer with a creative twist I would highly recommend him! I have only seen a sneak peek of the video he has created so far and it is a work of art!!! am so excited to see the rest!!!!!
