Working with JJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the moment we met her, she was warm, kind, and made us feel completely at ease. For our engagement shoot, we told her we wanted a beach vibe, and she picked the perfect spot. She also spent time helping us choose outfits that would photograph well and complement the setting, which made us feel even more confident going into the shoot.

Even though she had never shot at our venue (Kennolyn Hilltop Hacienda Estate), she still did an amazing job—she knew exactly where the best lighting would be, even on a cloudy day, and guided us to a spot that ended up being one of our favorite shots of the day. She spent so much time researching ahead of time, and on the wedding day, she even arrived early to scout the location in person. That level of care and preparation meant so much to us, and it really showed in the photos.

Her eye for composition and light is incredible. We love our photos—they’re everything we hoped for and more. She captured both the big moments and the quiet, in-between ones with so much heart.

One thing we really appreciated was how easy JJ was to work with throughout the whole process. She was always quick to respond, super organized, and really on top of everything. She delivered our photos so fast, and they still felt so thoughtfully edited. We never had to worry—she made the whole experience feel stress-free and smooth.

We were truly blown away by the phenomenal job that JJ did for our wedding photos. We had seen JJ's gallery before we signed with her and had high expectations going in, but JJ and team surpassed even our very high expectations. We really couldn't recommend her enough.

First off, JJ has a great talent for capturing natural, raw emotion in the moment. In our wedding and engagement photos, she managed to capture all the emotional, joyful, initimate moments. Those pictures really mean a lot to us - the candid shots that caught a loved one's reaction to a speech or a beautiful moment with our family are things that we will treasure forever.

We also really appreciated how JJ cared deeply about what we wanted. She is a great listener and was just took so much effort to make sure that she understood what was important to us and what we hoped to capture with her photos. JJ also went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding photos would be amazing. For example, we wanted to have our tea ceremony at an outdoor pavilion instead of an indoor room (which would have been better for photographs as we can control the light). When we told JJ we preferred the outdoor pavilion to the indoor room, she found ways to make the lighting work and without us asking, she scouted out the venue ahead of time to get a sense of what the light in the pavilion would be like.

JJ's artistic vision and passion for her work is really really apparent and made us love the whole process of taking pictures. As a couple, we're not very good at having our pictures taken- we look a little unnatural sometimes. But JJ clearly had ideas for what would make us look natural and bring out how we interacted with each other normally. Her enthusiasm and encouragement is so genuine and infectious that we found ourselves really enjoying the photoshoots. She's always coming up with new ideas to take advantage of the setting to get the best shots.

We weren't the only ones who loved working with JJ, JJ was also great with our family and wedding party - pretty much everyone from our 4 year old nephew to our parents had great things to say about JJ.

All in all, JJ was a dream to work with, not only is she a wonderful photographer, but she was also incredibly prompt, organized and responsive in everything she did. Thank you JJ for helping make our wedding such an unforgettable experience!

I am so lucky that I got introduced to JJ via a friend who married 2 months before us. JJ's website was the first one I reviewed, and after researching on the internet for a while I came to realize how wonderful and unique her style is. I especially loved the way she delivers SF city hall. Every picture is not just a photo - it is an art piece. While preparing for wedding was the busiest time I ever went through, I tended to lost track of time when going through her portfolio. Every time I looked at the same photo, I could read something new from it.
We went with JJ for a city hall post-wedding shooting session. While this is a relatively small contract, JJ was so patience before the event to give me useful tips. We had a phone call where we introduced ourselves, and we are looking for. JJ asked for a photo of us two and offered us customized suggestions. One game changer was that she strongly suggested me to go with a mermaid style dress rather than A-line, which turned out great! A lot of our friends thought super highly of the dress that JJ helped me pick. I went to try on dresses for several times and sent JJ multiple emails. JJ patiently went through the try-on photos and offered valuable suggestions using her expertise from her design background.
On the shooting day, JJ taught us step by step how to get the best pictures. Those were not just tips about how to pose, but rather a way to getting the emotions right. For example, she would show us example pictures, talk with us to help us relax, or play some music to help us get in to groove.
The pictures, unsurprisingly, came out fantastic!

I am now recommending JJ to every single one of my friend looking for a wedding photographer. You get supreme quality of pictures. Further more, you get professional service from her during preparation, which is so important that I would give 50% credit of the pictures people see in the end. I cannot wait to work with JJ more in the future!

We tried to find a photograph who is talented and passionate.When we met JJ, we know she is the one we were looking for. JJ does not just produce the photos. She treats the photos as artworks. She does not just put her " subject" there and presses the button. She always met with us and got to know us, and then created and designed the special "Love Story" for us through her photos.

JJ always knows how let her " subject" get into the emotion in her photo. During the session, it was really smooth. She captured all the touched moment. When we saw the pictures, we could not believe that is us and all the pictures are amazing.

I feel so lucky to have JJ as my photographer. We went to two locations for our pre-wedding photo shooting. And JJ kept great communication with us before and after. She discussed with us about the tone and the feeling we would prefer before the photo shooting.With her fashion design background she helped to pick the suit and the dress for us. All I need to do was going to the mall, trying the clothes on, taking pictures，sending pictures to her and buying the one we all like. She made it so easy for us and the outfits came out so perfect and we got a lot of compliments just for the clothes.

The first location we chose was a vineyard in Napa. JJ was so amazing that she worked great with lights and captured a lot of great pictures for us inside and outside the building, till it was too dark to taking photos. Her direction of the posing was very specific and easy to follow. She even came to show us how to do the pose and it was hilarious sometime, which also helped us to relax. It was so fun that day and photos came out great.

The second location was by the sea for after discussion she learned that I love the ocean. JJ was so considerate. She was doing all the running around while letting us stay and having rest during checking spots. And if there is a place felt like a little bit dangerous, she would go there and check it for us first. We were all impressed by her professional dedication. She managed the tone so very well that all my friends and families were amazed by her work. We put the photos as a slide show in our wedding and all the guest were so impressed by our photos.

I would highly recommend JJ for she is not only fantastic photographer but also a very diligent, artistic and kind person if you get to know her well.

After a long search for photographer, we have found JJ to shoot our wedding at Clos LaChance Winery in May.

JJ was the photographer for my wedding on 1/3/14, and I can't thank her enough! Her pictures were so touching, Especially to my grandpa who walked me down the aisle.
