What is the story behind Jillian Hogan Photography?
Hi, I’m Jillian.
I’m the owner and lead photographer behind Jillian Hogan Photography, an Arizona-based wedding and portrait photography studio serving couples throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Sedona, and beyond, with select weddings still taking me back to Texas and destinations across the country.
After photographing weddings since 2011, I’ve learned that the best photographs happen when you’re actually enjoying yourself. My approach is a blend of beautifully composed portraits, genuine connection, and all the in-between moments that make your wedding day uniquely yours.
I’ll guide you when you need direction, keep things moving when the timeline gets busy, and give you plenty of space to simply be together. Expect a mix of classic, timeless portraits your family will love and candid, energetic images that bring you right back to how the day felt.
And yes, we’re probably going to become friends along the way. Getting to know my couples is one of my favorite parts of this job. I want you to feel comfortable in front of my camera, confident throughout the day, and completely taken care of from our first conversation through the delivery of your final gallery.
With more than 15 years of experience and countless weddings photographed, I’ve become just as invested in the experience of the day as I am in the photographs themselves. I’m happy to help with timelines, offer vendor recommendations, troubleshoot when plans inevitably change, and bring a little calm to the beautiful chaos of a wedding day.
My work is known for its bold, true-to-life color, timeless imagery, and joyful energy- photographs that feel elevated and intentional without losing the personality and emotion of the people in them.
I photograph weddings, intimate celebrations, elopements, proposals, engagements, and portraits throughout Arizona, Texas, and beyond. Jillian was absolutely amazing for our wedding photos! Her vibrant style is exactly what we were looking for when we were choosing a photographer. Perfection!!
Jillian Hogan has a way with making each person feel important, beautiful, and confident, which is the perfect formula for an excellent photographer. We instantly clicked when we talked over the phone and I knew her engaging personality would draw out the best in us. Her pictures speak for themselves (absolute perfection), but working with her for engagements, bridals, and on wedding day was truly an unforgettable experience. She was a highlight on our special day. She is organized, communicative, timely, and just all-around a wonderful person. I cannot say enough great things about Jillian and her work.

The absolute BEST photographer!
Choosing Jillian as our wedding photographer was probably one of our best decisions in the whole wedding planning process! Jillian has such a fun energy and relaxed personality that made us feel immediately comfortable and truly captured us at our best! I cannot say enough great things about Jillian. Jillian is highly skilled at her craft!
I run a bridal makeup and hair team in DFW and have had the lucky opportunity to work with Jillian on weddings. She is truly amazing in so many aspects! Jillian is the BEST photographer you could hire!
Jillian will hands down be the best vendor you hire for your wedding. My favorite thing about Jillian is that she can capture the big moments beautifully but she also captures moments that are very small that you might not think about but are simply amazing. I can sometimes be a bit awkward taking posed photos but Jillian make you feel comfortable and finds poses that make you look natural and beautiful. She is very quick to respond to all questions and concerns to put your mind at ease. Her day of timeline layout and knowledge of lighting for the best photos was amazing. Jillian is someone you can completely trust with your big day. I highly recommend you book Jillian for your wedding. If you don't you are missing out on the best photographer!

The BEST photographer you will ever work with
Where do I even start with Jillian. She was my favorite vendor we worked with. When we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, we knew we had to find a date where Jillian was available. She made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease and made the photos seem so fun and relaxed. She was extremely responsive and thoughtful during our reschedule. I have never been more anxious in my life than I was before our wedding ceremony and Jillian was the calm I needed. She was so much more than a photographer to me during that time, and I will never forget how patient and caring she was. She truly cares about the couples she shoots for and puts in her whole heart. I am so fortunate we found Jillian and were able to have her shoot the biggest day of our lives. And ofcourse, her pictures are absolutely stunning. You will not be disappointed if you chose Jillian for your big day! :)

If Jillian would have me as a personal spokesperson, I would totally do it.
I don't believe there are enough words of gratitude that I can extend to Jillian for making our day absolutely perfect. She is completely detail oriented, is open to a lot of crazy ideas, and was hands down the best investment of our big day! She is so friendly, professional, and extremely timely with her responses. Her editing and finished products are completed timeless. With over 9 hours of coverage, two photographers and two locations, we ended up with over 1,000 (Yes, ONE THOUSAND) stunning photos to look back on from our day. She captured every photo I wanted, a picture of almost all the guests, and not only beautiful photos of us inside the church and outdoors, but the candid shots/little moments are great! I wouldn't have changed anything about our day, especially hiring Jillian to photograph our once-in-a-lifetime day. Jillian, YOU ARE AMAZING AND I AM EXTREMELY THANKFUL FOR YOU AND YOUR GIFT OF CAPTURING OUR DAY PERFECTLY.

Couldn't have asked for a better photographer
What really sets Jillian apart is that she doesn't just document the aesthetics of the day, but she also captures the feeling. We had a pretty long list of "shots" for our wedding day (and she nailed all of them!), but what was so unexpected and special are the photos of all of the small, special moments of the day, whether it was photos of the two of us together, sweet (and hilarious) moments between friends and family throughout the night, or some of the cutest photos of our flower girl ever! Whether it's posed shots, details, or candids, Jillian's photos are everything we could have asked for, plus more than I ever imagined. It felt like our wedding day flew by, but Jillian's photos bring everything back.
Choosing a photographer was definitely something that we stressed over, and I don't think we could have found a better match. She was so wonderful throughout the entire planning process--whether it was a recommendation for a vendor or just a casual check-in email to see how things were going. We had major storms on the day of our wedding, and I was really worried about our schedule and missing some of the outdoor shots that we were hoping for, and Jillian was such a calming presence that day and kept things running smoothly. We lucked out and the skies cleared in time, and we were able to get some really incredible outdoor photos, but I have full confidence that our portraits would have still turned out beautifully if the rain didn't clear in time. All in all, I can't recommend Jillian enough--she was everything that I had hoped for in a photographer, and so much more.

Magical engagement session!!!
We just got our engagement photos back and my fiance and I couldn't have been more pleased! Jillian truly captured our personalities while making us look great at the same time. She really listened to what we were wanting, and I absolutely LOVE her editing style. Jillian is nothing but professional while still letting her own personality shine, which is why we loved working with her and can't wait for the wedding day!

The photographer you need!
Jillian is our photographer for our upcoming wedding and has recently captured our engagement photos. She is beyond amazing. She is flexible especially when we had to change our photo session due to weather. She is fun and laid back which makes you feel really comfortable while trying to take photos. She has awesome ideas and is always willing to listen to your wants. She captured so many great photos during our engagement session we had such a hard time trying to figure out our favorites! We are excited to have her capture our wedding day next November!
