Jessica Hill is an absolute DREAM to work with. I hired her for our engagement shoot, wedding photography and even a boudoir shoot as a gift for my fiancée on the wedding day through her other business Peekaboo! I seriously can not imagine my wedding day without her, and I am so in awe of all of the photos she has captured for us. They are all absolutely beautiful, and she really takes the time to get to know you as individuals and as a couple, and brings so much joy to everything she does. Her insane amount of experience and knowledge mixed with her warm and inviting personally made me so comfortable and confident, and I just love her so much 💕 I would hire her again over and over again and HIGHLYYY recommend you do the same!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Jessica capture both our engagement shoot (October 2021) and wedding (October 2022). As expected, the Portland weather didn’t exactly play nice, but Jessica wasn’t fazed, timing our moments through the rain, and hustling for every angle. She straight up climbed into a boat on the waterfront to capture our favorite picture from our engagement shoot. She perfectly captured the vibe of our wedding as well. We were aiming for timeless, city chic, and she 100% delivered, shooting us in a way that could have come from any era, that didn’t feel static or formulaic. I’m a crier, but absolutely teared up at both our engagement and wedding photos, at the way she captured our emotions and love. I could go on and on about the photos, her portfolio speaks for itself… a photo is worth a thousand words, right? Jessica’s pictures write full novels.

More important than the product, Jessica made my wife and I feel incredibly comfortable. We’re both introverted but she made us feel playful and fully ourselves. As a same-sex couple, we were also particular about finding someone who wouldn’t just be respectful but direct and pose us in an authentic way, which she did from the start.

Lastly what sets Jessica head and shoulders above the rest, is her intuition and awareness of so much more than what’s in the viewfinder. One moment that stands out to me, is when I had a few relatives insisting on joining pictures that they weren’t meant to be part of. Jessica picked up on it right away, gave me a subtle look, and tactfully sent them on their way, taking stress off my shoulders as a bride. And just being the kind human she is, she loaned me socks when I forgot mine for my reception shoe change– though I don’t think this is included in her photo packages lol.

We called audibles, made last minute changes, even added a surprise guest, waded through the stress and tension at times, but Jessica was steady, flexible, and calming throughout.
Honestly, whenever we were in her hands, we felt most at ease in the chaos of the big day. She’s exactly the presence you want in those moments, neither a distraction nor liability, a complete professional and incredible photographer.

Jessica has taken photos for my cousins' weddings and that was how I know of Jessica. I reached out to her during my wedding planning process, and she was super helpful. We started off with a conversation over email and set a time and date to talk and discuss through Zoom. Jessica is extremely patient and professional! She knows what she is doing. We had our engagement photos at the beach, and she made us feel so comfortable during the whole shoot. She was so patient with our dog as well. Jessica captured every little detail of our wedding even photos we didn't thought of. Jessica is well worth it! Highly recommend Jessica!!
