From the moment we decided to start planning - even before we set a budget - having live music was the ultimate priority. You were the first band we looked at on wedding wire, we saw your picture with Ben and listened to you guys perform “Carousel” and we were sold. We did our due diligence, listened to 17 versions of “Shut up and Dance,” but it was utterly clear the whole time that it was you guys! We were so worried when we changed the date that you’d be booked, that we were fully prepared to leave the date if you couldn’t change it.
We came and saw you play just to confirm, and of course that was an easy decision - you were even better live! We, again, came to see the whole band perform, and you subtly made us feel special, and rocked out - even better than the first time. Your ease and willingness to work with our vision, make quick adjustments, and all along the way communicate impeccably were so comforting to the stress that is wedding planning. We truly meant it when we said “we trust you, rock out, riff out, play some originals, play some stuff you think would be great” and you did not disappoint.
The requests and renditions that you created - we have a few videos of them - and we can’t stop watching them! Your new trumpet player was perfect - keep him around! Anthony is so friggin cool, and so talented - personally, I will never forget his final solo, it really was all I ever wanted! I feel like Ben and I should probably be best friends; his voice was amazing! Really, the whole band just absolutely crushed every aspect of the performance - seriously, we could probably accurately say that 50 people made it a point to come tell us how incredible you guys were - and that is exactly what we were wishing for!
Jess, you were the perfect band for us, and probably the perfect band for any wedding, and we don’t think this thank you is enough, but we did our best! We can’t wait to come see many more shows, we can’t wait to call you up when we visit Syracuse and take you guys out to dinner, and you will always be welcome at our home! We love you, and thank you!

Jess performed live on guitar and violin for the ceremony and cocktail hour at my wedding before DJing late into the night. Her musical talents are quite impressive, she even learned some new songs for us! In the planning phase, she was organized, professional and very timely with communicating. She was able to make many great recommendations and guide us through decisions making the whole process stress free. Her equipment is all professional grade and she had all the microphones and speakers needed for speaches in one area, the ceremony in another area both away from the main DJ set up. I would highly recommend Jess as a solo performer/DJ and I would certainly go with the Duo if your budget allows! Jess and ben were amazing. They dealt with my flakiness and helped me figure out a way to have them play with a budget i could handle. everyone said they were amazing during the ceremony and cocktail hour while playing live and then when they DJ'd for the reception they were perfect. they played all the music we asked for and just were smiling and nice and happy. I couldn't recommend them more.

We had Jess Novak and her band play for 5 hours at our wedding as well as MC for the night. We aligned on the setlist for the evening -- which they absolutely crushed! as well as details for intros, speeches and even put together a nice little Grateful Dead inspired dinner music. Jess and crew even hung out late night for a bonus jam sesh -- what a night!

Having Jess and Ben play at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! We have followed them around for years listening to them play and to actually have them at our wedding was like a dream come true. Jess was so accommodating when it came to picking the songs and she even played an original song she wrote for our first dance! I myself am a musician and my wife and I (who met a festival) spend a lot of time seeing live music—so we had to have a live band at our wedding. We chose to have it in CNY near family but having lived in CO for 15 years we were unfamiliar with local artists. I was adamant that we have a violin player perform the ceremony so some musician friends of mine introduced me to the Jess Novak Band, and when I discovered they perform weddings I immediately wrote them for availability. Unfortunately they had a prior engagement and the full band was unavailable but Jess and Ben agreed to come perform the ceremony and cocktail hour as a duet and they were awesome! They learned a few untraditional songs for us and performed their own renditions as instrumentals and it was exactly what we were looking for…my wife is the kind of person to walk down the aisle to Dispatch and not here comes the bride. Even though we requested bluegrass and jam band songs for the ceremony their renditions were elegant, and getting to walk down the aisle to our favorite songs was one of the most memorable moments of our wedding. I highly recommend these guys, they were great performers, easy to work with, reasonably priced and responded quickly and consistently.

Jess Novak Band is an incredibly talented group of performers. It was so much fun to have them perform at our wedding. They played a great combination of songs we requested as well as some of their originals. They were very accommodating and even learned a few of our favorites to perform.

Hands down one of the most talented performers!!! Wow, do we feel honored to have booked her to perform at our wedding. She even traveled all the way to Arizona. All of our guests rave to this day about how much they enjoyed hearing Jess perform with her stunning voice and musical talents playing her violin and guitar to name a few.
