Jasmine Photography---deep sigh...I had such hopes. Originally I had booked them after a recommendation for photography & videography My husband (then fiance) liked the albums and we signed a contract that day for both photography and videography. I started looking at the Jasmine website and I realized the photography style was not to my liking so I contacted Vito about canceling the contract. I was told even though it was almost a year before my wedding I could not receive my money back so I agreed to keep them for video and for them to give the raw footage so I can cut it myself (I work in TV). I thought all was well even though I had to get my planner involved in order to get the reduced price for video that I had found online--that should have been a clue. The 2 camera ops showed up as I was getting ready and I thought all was well in hand until I got the footage. First: They shot NO VIDEO of my husband or the groomsmen before the wedding!!! I had asked them when I was getting ready if they knew where the groom's suite was and they said yes. I even volunteered a bridesmaid to take them. I know she went to the suite because it was when she gave my husband my gift to him. The still photographers got it. Second: THEY SHOT NO VIDEO OF MY FAMILY!!!!! I am not a young bride. My Mom and her siblings are in their seventies and I asked to make sure they shot footage of them, especially since one of my uncles had not been in the United States in 37 years and this side of my family had not been together in the same place in 40 years! No video of them. Add to that my groom's family wasn't represented and I almost cried.. Third: the audio is bad. CAN'T HEAR THE WEDDING CEREMONY!!! The most important part of the whole day! Fourth: when I got the video it wasn't the raw footage. It was compressed onto 2 DVDs so the quality wasn't great. When I called to ask about it, they refused to talk to me on the phone and insisted on email correspondence. I asked for the raw footage (which would take 6 DVDs) and they insisted I send them a portable hard drive which cost me an additional $120!!!!! They had my wedding video hostage so I sent it. Then they emailed me and said they had only one editor who could copy my wedding video and he would be gone for a MONTH!!! I grit my teeth and waited. Then they started emailing me saying I had to send them $16 for the hard drive to be mailed back to me. I tried to make the point that I paid them $1200 for a wedding video and they were griping over mailing cost but again, they were holding my video hostage. I was SOOOO disappointed in this whole experience. They were uncommunicative except when they wanted money and were the only vendor of the whole wedding that I can't recommend.

My husband and I decided to take the children to New York and get married there. I booked this company for 3 hours to come to our hotel before the ceremony and take getting ready pictures of myself and daughter, then to come to city hall. Total cost $750. I paid the non refundable $50 deposit. The day before the ceremony they emailed to say they don't start work until 9.30am and they 'think it's a better plan' (their words) if they just meet us there. Obviously we paid the deposit in good faith, with email confirmations from them to say they would be at our hotel before the ceremony. I ended up cancelling their services and picked a photographer on the day outside city hall for $80, plus he was our witness. The pictures came out amazing and for a fraction of the price. I am now in dispute with Jasmine photographers trying the get my deposit back as they broke the contract. They of course are not paying back. My advice, avoid them. If they cant stick to a contract and wont start work before 9.30am they are not what they seem!
