Jansen is a restaurant wedding venue located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. David Jansen, owner and operator of Jansen, has a commitment to utilizing only the freshest ingredients and serving delicious food in an inviting and comfortable setting. Jansen is a lovely setting to host an intimate wedding, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, or other special life event.

Facilities and Capacity
Jansen has a variety of settings that you can utilize for a private dining experience with as few as 10 people or as many as 60 people. Depending on the size and space you choose to take advantage of, you can create a custom cocktail party, ceremony, or reception that you and your guests will enjoy. This restaurant is located in one of the oldest buildings on Germantown in historic Mt. Airy. Jansen offers a contemporary setting while maintaining it’s historic charm. Jansen has both indoor and outdoor spaces for you to use on your special day. The patio outside offers a private setting that many use for a ceremony or cocktail hour. Inside, there is plenty of space for a seated meal throughout the three unique rooms this restaurant has available.

Just Perfect

This was the perfect venue for our small wedding ceremony. My Husband and I wanted a small wedding reception and Jansen delivered in every way. Our planner was Veronica, she was the best to work with. She gave suggestions, guided us through our planning and was so flexible whenever we needed her. Jansen's food is amazing, the pastry here is to die for and the drink are exceptional. Can't say enough about this venue. Our night was perfect and everything we wanted.

Perfect in every way!

We knew Jansen was a lovely setting for an intimate wedding and that the food and service were excellent. The staff exceeded our expectations and the day was even more perfect than we ever imagined. Jerri, the event planner, outdid herself with the flowers, drinks and creative seating arrangements. The weather was lovely and we were able to use the fabulous outside patio space. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they ever attended. Thank you Jansen for the wonderful day and memory!

Wonderful in every way!

Jansen sets the standard to which all wedding venues (and, for that matter, restaurants) should be held. From our first contact with Jerri, the Events Coordinator, to the final farewell after our daughter’s wedding, everything was wonderfully and professionally handled. We couldn’t have asked for more. The restaurant has a beautiful covered patio where we held both the ceremony and the reception. It was a small, intimate affair, but that didn’t change anything. We were still treated as if we were hosting a larger event, with lots of attention paid to every detail from the flowers to the food, wine and professional service. Chef Jansen is an amazing chef and the entire staff at the restaurant is terrific. Planning a wedding can a stressful experience, but the folks at Jansen worked hard to make sure it was pleasant and easy for us. We highly recommend Jansen for any occasion, large or small.

My Husband and I had our Wedding at Jansen....we wanted an intimate evening with just immediate family. From the first meeting with Jansen's AMAZING event planner (Jerri) and pastry chef (Angela), we knew this was going to be the perfect night. The food was amazing, the staff was attentive and there was not a single detail left out. Jansen's team took our expectations and blew them out of the water. We knew going into this that the space was beautiful and the food was delicious, but it was the staff that made our evening a dream come true. I know we will be going back for our Anniversary every year. I highly recommend this amazing venue for not only weddings, but any special occasion!

I highly recommend Jansen to any couple or family seeking a gorgeous, unique venue for an event, especially a wedding. My husband and I were married at Jansen in early June of 2017, and would not have changed a thing about the wedding. We held the ceremony on the patio under our chuppah, used one of the rooms for a sit down luncheon, and used the "fireplace" room for dancing and the cake cutting. We were also given use of the private upstairs dining room for our ketubah signing ceremony.

Our wedding was a success due to the professionalism, flexibility, and creativity of the staff at Jansen, including David, Jerri, Simon, Angela, and Kevin. Jerri Banks, the Events Coordinator, was the ideal partner in planning a small wedding (30 people); her attention to detail, patience, diligence, and excitement were integral to our seamless planning process.

Jansen provided almost everything -- the bridal bouquet and flowers, the wedding cake, the main meal, dessert, the centerpieces, and even the poles of the chuppah that I made. Our guests raved about the incredible luncheon and array of desserts, the stunning design and set up of the restaurant and patio, and the attentiveness of the staff before, during, and after the event. We even worked with the staff to create playlists on Spotify using Jansen's Sonos system. Our Sunday luncheon was both family style and french service, and our guests raved about the quality (and quantity) of food, which was seasonally oriented, fresh and local. Kudos to the pastry chef, Angela, for designing a simple, yet elegant, wedding cake, and an array of nut-free desserts centered around fresh berries.

Thank you to the staff at Jansen for a day we will always remember!

Thank you to the Jansen team for such a wonderful dinner on Saturday night! Everything was perfect and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved everything we ate! The service was attentive and all your staff are so welcoming. It's a pleasure to be able to dine so frequently at Jansen. It's one of our most favorite places to eat!

When I was looking for a venue, I wanted an intimate setting for my small wedding, with really amazing food to add to the experience. I went to Jansens because I knew Dave when he was at the Four Seasons Fountain restaurant and knew the food was going to be spectacular. When I arrived to Jansens and enjoyed dinner on the back patio I knew this was the place. I was going to be married here. I had a small wedding of just family of 20. I did not want a hall or be completely outside. It was the perfect venue.
Dave and Simon were wonderful with accommodating anything I wanted which was a ceremony outside and the reception in the room with a fireplace. I trusted Dave to come up with a five course meal which was completely seasonal, it was on October 1st, fall menu without being too cliche. Our cake was made by the pastry chef. I wanted a naked cake with fresh berries which came out incredibly delicious.
My husband and I were able to save money on a dj by playing a Premade Playlist and using their speaker system which sounded perfect.
Overall, my husband and I could not have been happier having our wedding here. The staff was extremely professional And personable. Thank you, Dave and team for your help on making our day perfect!
