I don't even know how to put into words how OUT OF THIS WORLD Janelle and her team are. From the very first interview, we knew Janelle was someone special - and she proved it every single step of the way. Our engagement shoot was amazing, she made us feel so comfortable and natural, and by the time the wedding day arrived, it felt like having a close friend with us who just happened to be insanely talented. On the wedding day, she was everywhere without feeling intrusive. She captured every moment, every detail, every emotion - things I didn't even realize were happening until I saw the content. Her energy, her direction, her creativity... UNMATCHED!!!! We've already gotten sneak peeks and we are OBSESSED. She is genuinely the world's greatest, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone.

This review comes with a full disclaimer that nothing I could ever write about Janelle Brooke Photography would do Janelle, her team, and her photos justice; but I will sure try. After receiving a prompt and incredibly warm response from our inquiry to Janelle, we booked a Zoom call to get to know a little bit more about each other and also perused Janelle’s website and Instagram (did I mention how insanely talented she is?) Her pictures simply took my breath away. They were EXACTLY the kind of photos we were both looking for out of our vision for the day; romantic, authentic, classic, not overly edited, a wonderful balance between posed and candid. We knew right off the bat she was going to be the one for us. After we Zoomed with Amy, it was even more of a lock-in. We booked literally five minutes after our phone call ended and the rest, as they say, is history. Throughout the last year and a half, Janelle has become not just our wedding photographer but a trusted confidant for all things wedding, a shoulder to lean on and a forever friend. That goes for Amy, too. No question has ever been too silly, no idea out of place. From the moment we met Janelle, she just made us feel SO comfortable (and surprisingly, posing for wedding photos with your soon to be spouse is not always the most natural thing). She has an eye for the beauty in simple moments but also knows how to to capture the dreamiest scenes. Each and every single person that saw our engagement photos told me “I have NEVER seen photos like that before!” In the past few months, especially, we have seen Janelle’s business FLOURISH with the opening of Coastal Creative Studios and we are thrilled that so many people are discovering the gem that is Janelle Brooke Photography. And no one is more deserving of this success, truly. During our final meeting, we were able to see the new studio and marvel at the same warmth that Janelle brings to all of her photos in the space that she created for so many incredible projects to come. At that same meeting, we were really able to nail down all of the key moments of the day and to walk through everything together as a team. I know we both felt that after that final meeting we breathed a HUGE sigh of relief (literally and physically). We already knew that Janelle would have our backs, but especially on our wedding day, Janelle was the most calm and centered presence for me and was able to read my mind with just a look at her about what worked and what wasn’t working. But that is what you can expect from working with someone like Janelle- she understands you and makes dreams, truly come true. Because seeing even just our highlight photos this weekend was an experience I will never forget. They were beyond my wildest dreams and I will truly treasure them forever. What I will treasure more, though, is the memories we have of working with Janelle and her team, including Mary, our second shooter of the day, who was able to wrangle all of the groomsmen together and keep them excited and organized, and who also was capturing each and every single detail so beautifully; and Kevin, who was a very much welcome third-shooter who was our personal hype man throughout the entire day, as he was genuinely excited to be with us and was truly up for anything. Literally, the entire team went along with my crazy plea to go outside despite the fact that it was pouring the entire day, but there was a 10 minute block of sun that we chased and thank goodness we did. They also agreed to photograph us in the rain at the end of the night and those pictures, too, are just magical. This review could truly go on forever about how much we love Janelle and her team. If you are lucky enough to be able to book Janelle for your wedding day (or any life event), I promise that it will be the best decision you will make throughout your event planning. Full Stop. Wow, where to start!! Janelle just captured my wedding/rehearsal dinner last weekend and we were absolutely blown away. Not only is Janelle incredibly talented behind the camera, but she is the sweetest person!! She is bubbly and kind and really took to heart the type of couple we are and the types of photos we wanted to capture our authentic selves. We just received our teaser photos and they are absolutely incredible.

Oh my gosh, where do I even start with Janelle? It’s hard to put into words how wonderful she is. The only way to put it is Janelle is truly top-notch. From the second we met her, she made us feel like we knew her forever and is so warm and kind. We did our engagement shoot with her at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay, and she knew the grounds like the back of her hand. She captured the most beautiful photos in the most beautiful places. She helped us to figure out what we liked and what we didn’t like, this way she knew the exact types of pictures we wanted on our wedding day. Janelle was always so responsive, and goes above and beyond to make sure she knows your visions. She will meet with you as many times as you need, and at great length with great detail. On our wedding day, Janelle was not only our photographer, but my right hand woman for literally everything, personal hype girl, and day-of coordinator. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world and coordinated the day for me (with my other vendors) from top to bottom with a full itinerary along with a detailed shot list. Janelle is the perfect combination of assertive with blending in. She was easily able to keep everything/everyone on track with timing, get everyone’s attention when needed, help gather specific people for shots, yet and also blended right in during the reception. She made sure we captured every single shot we wanted. Her work is art and is truly impressive. They say you get what you pay for, and Janelle is hands down worth every single penny.

From the moment I met Janelle and the way she captured photos at my cousins wedding I knew she was the perfect match!! She really gets to know you as a couple and captures amazing photos that truly represent who you are!! She listens to your requests and ia there to make sure your day is perfect!! Amanda worked with Janelle on our big day and they were both fun, energetic, and made our day fun and easy going!! Amy, Janelle assistant is absolutely amazing and answers all questions in a reasonable time frame and is there for you every step of the way!

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Janelle Brooke and our photographer, Beth! They are incredibly organized, attentive to detail, and really helped guide us through the whole process from start to finish. Beth is amazingly talented and created such a comfortable, easy environment from the get-go (coming from two camera shy people!) and they helped plan some of our favorite moments from the day including our first look. The photos are stunning and we are obsessed with our beautiful album which they helped us put together with a number of 1:1 walk-through and editing sessions to make sure the final product was perfect for us. If you are looking for someone who will make taking photos effortless, she is your person! Her patience, her kindness, her incredible talent, she is more than you could have hoped for. Her work is breath taking. I couldn't believe they were our pictures, I swore it was a photo shoot for a wedding mag. I would work with her over and over and over again.

I knew Janelle from a friend's wedding that she photographed many years prior. I always remembered being amazed by her calm demeanor, professionalism, creativity, and flat-out stunning, simply beautiful and unique images. I always hoped that one day I could hire her too when I got married. Lucky for us, she happened to be available when we booked our wedding on short notice in March of 2019. Janelle and her entire team are the best. She really ran the whole day for us it seemed, we just followed her lead and went with the flow and got everything in according to schedule. She was able to capture some truly beautiful moments that we will treasure forever. We also used a videographer she suggested, and he was fantastic as well. Aside from the big day, we also were able to squeeze in an engagement/baby announcement shoot at her recommendation before the wedding. Terry and the JBP team were so easy to work with and very flexible with meeting times and getting to really know us before our wedding day.
