Out of this world!

I don't even know how to put into words how OUT OF THIS WORLD Janelle and her team are. From the very first interview, we knew Janelle was someone special - and she proved it every single step of the way. Our engagement shoot was amazing, she made us feel so comfortable and natural, and by the time the wedding day arrived, it felt like having a close friend with us who just happened to be insanely talented. On the wedding day, she was everywhere without feeling intrusive. She captured every moment, every detail, every emotion - things I didn't even realize were happening until I saw the content. Her energy, her direction, her creativity... UNMATCHED!!!! We've already gotten sneak peeks and we are OBSESSED. She is genuinely the world's greatest, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone.

Forever Grateful to Janelle and Her Team!

This review comes with a full disclaimer that nothing I could ever write about Janelle Brooke Photography would do Janelle, her team, and her photos justice; but I will sure try. After receiving a prompt and incredibly warm response from our inquiry to Janelle, we booked a Zoom call to get to know a little bit more about each other and also perused Janelle’s website and Instagram (did I mention how insanely talented she is?) Her pictures simply took my breath away. They were EXACTLY the kind of photos we were both looking for out of our vision for the day; romantic, authentic, classic, not overly edited, a wonderful balance between posed and candid. We knew right off the bat she was going to be the one for us. After we Zoomed with Amy, it was even more of a lock-in. We booked literally five minutes after our phone call ended and the rest, as they say, is history. Throughout the last year and a half, Janelle has become not just our wedding photographer but a trusted confidant for all things wedding, a shoulder to lean on and a forever friend. That goes for Amy, too. No question has ever been too silly, no idea out of place. From the moment we met Janelle, she just made us feel SO comfortable (and surprisingly, posing for wedding photos with your soon to be spouse is not always the most natural thing). She has an eye for the beauty in simple moments but also knows how to to capture the dreamiest scenes. Each and every single person that saw our engagement photos told me “I have NEVER seen photos like that before!” In the past few months, especially, we have seen Janelle’s business FLOURISH with the opening of Coastal Creative Studios and we are thrilled that so many people are discovering the gem that is Janelle Brooke Photography. And no one is more deserving of this success, truly. During our final meeting, we were able to see the new studio and marvel at the same warmth that Janelle brings to all of her photos in the space that she created for so many incredible projects to come. At that same meeting, we were really able to nail down all of the key moments of the day and to walk through everything together as a team. I know we both felt that after that final meeting we breathed a HUGE sigh of relief (literally and physically). We already knew that Janelle would have our backs, but especially on our wedding day, Janelle was the most calm and centered presence for me and was able to read my mind with just a look at her about what worked and what wasn’t working. But that is what you can expect from working with someone like Janelle- she understands you and makes dreams, truly come true. Because seeing even just our highlight photos this weekend was an experience I will never forget. They were beyond my wildest dreams and I will truly treasure them forever. What I will treasure more, though, is the memories we have of working with Janelle and her team, including Mary, our second shooter of the day, who was able to wrangle all of the groomsmen together and keep them excited and organized, and who also was capturing each and every single detail so beautifully; and Kevin, who was a very much welcome third-shooter who was our personal hype man throughout the entire day, as he was genuinely excited to be with us and was truly up for anything. Literally, the entire team went along with my crazy plea to go outside despite the fact that it was pouring the entire day, but there was a 10 minute block of sun that we chased and thank goodness we did. They also agreed to photograph us in the rain at the end of the night and those pictures, too, are just magical. This review could truly go on forever about how much we love Janelle and her team. If you are lucky enough to be able to book Janelle for your wedding day (or any life event), I promise that it will be the best decision you will make throughout your event planning. Full Stop. Jbp team is spectacular!

Wow, where to start!! Janelle just captured my wedding/rehearsal dinner last weekend and we were absolutely blown away. Not only is Janelle incredibly talented behind the camera, but she is the sweetest person!! She is bubbly and kind and really took to heart the type of couple we are and the types of photos we wanted to capture our authentic selves. We just received our teaser photos and they are absolutely incredible.

Working with her team leading up to our wedding couldn’t have been better. Amy was so lovely to work with and helped answer all of our questions along the way.

The JBP team became our friends throughout this process and we’re so grateful to have been able to work with them!! Run don’t walk to book this team!

Perfection

Oh my gosh, where do I even start with Janelle? It’s hard to put into words how wonderful she is. The only way to put it is Janelle is truly top-notch. From the second we met her, she made us feel like we knew her forever and is so warm and kind. We did our engagement shoot with her at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay, and she knew the grounds like the back of her hand. She captured the most beautiful photos in the most beautiful places. She helped us to figure out what we liked and what we didn’t like, this way she knew the exact types of pictures we wanted on our wedding day. Janelle was always so responsive, and goes above and beyond to make sure she knows your visions. She will meet with you as many times as you need, and at great length with great detail. On our wedding day, Janelle was not only our photographer, but my right hand woman for literally everything, personal hype girl, and day-of coordinator. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world and coordinated the day for me (with my other vendors) from top to bottom with a full itinerary along with a detailed shot list. Janelle is the perfect combination of assertive with blending in. She was easily able to keep everything/everyone on track with timing, get everyone’s attention when needed, help gather specific people for shots, yet and also blended right in during the reception. She made sure we captured every single shot we wanted. Her work is art and is truly impressive. They say you get what you pay for, and Janelle is hands down worth every single penny.

They are incredibly organized, attentive to detail, and really helped guide us through the whole process from start to finish. Beth is amazingly talented and created such a comfortable, easy environment from the get-go (coming from two camera shy people!) and they helped plan some of our favorite moments from the day including our first look. The photos are stunning and we are obsessed with our beautiful album which they helped us put together with a number of 1:1 walk-through and editing sessions to make sure the final product was perfect for us. The best decision we made for our big day!

If you are looking for someone who will make taking photos effortless, she is your person! Her patience, her kindness, her incredible talent, she is more than you could have hoped for. Her work is breath taking. I couldn't believe they were our pictures, I swore it was a photo shoot for a wedding mag. I would work with her over and over and over again.

Excellent!!

When I was at my venue they had a display table with photo books from various photographers taken place at that venue
Janelles book caught my eve immediately, the quality of her work stood out amongst the rest!
Working with Janelle and her team was such an amazing experience, she was flexible with our schedule when shooting engagement photos and that day made us feel very comfortable with her and the whole process.
Throughout the year of planning I received thoughtful letters and gifts in the mail including a bracelet that reminded me to “just breathe”
As an experienced photographer she flawlessly planned the timeline of the day and even had helpful planning tips

On the day of our wedding Janelle went above and beyond her job description always making sure I was “good” and even took me outside to hold a damp towel to my back as I was over-heating in August

When we saw our wedding photos we were blown away, they are so beautiful and professional looking we were overjoyed to share with friends an family

I knew Janelle from a friend's wedding that she photographed many years prior. I always remembered being amazed by her calm demeanor, professionalism, creativity, and flat-out stunning, simply beautiful and unique images. I always hoped that one day I could hire her too when I got married. Lucky for us, she happened to be available when we booked our wedding on short notice in March of 2019. Janelle and her entire team are the best. She really ran the whole day for us it seemed, we just followed her lead and went with the flow and got everything in according to schedule. She was able to capture some truly beautiful moments that we will treasure forever. We also used a videographer she suggested, and he was fantastic as well. Aside from the big day, we also were able to squeeze in an engagement/baby announcement shoot at her recommendation before the wedding. We are so glad we did, it helped get us comfortable in front of the camera and we got some great shots. We also will use her services for all the great follow up items, like albums and assistance with displaying the photos in our home in a unique and creative way. Janelle and her team are true artists, designers, and just all-around lovely people. They will be our forever photographers through all of life's big moments ahead. Thank you JBP Team!

Easy to Work With!

Terry and the JBP team were so easy to work with and very flexible with meeting times and getting to really know us before our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, we quickly got all the shots we wanted and during the reception it feels like they were never in your face, yet always exactly where you wanted them to be capturing the perfect moments of the day. Over the moon!!

I met Janelle at a wedding showcase and after one conversation and look at her work I knew she had to be our wedding photographer. BEST. DECISION. EVER. My fiancé (now husband) and I grew so close to her and had so much fun meeting with her and having our engagement shoot! By the time of our wedding we considered her a friend! Janelle and her team were AWESOME on our wedding day, somehow everywhere at once yet very always so calm and cheery. When Janelle showed my husband and I a sneak preview of the shots she took we just started crying. They are truly art. Now we just cannot stop looking at our wedding pictures we still can’t believe they’re real and ours!! Janelle Brooke and her team were so many things to me throughout my wedding planning process and wedding day. They helped provide my day of timeline, tips for a successful day and were so patient in my very specific description of images I wanted. Best of all on my wedding day Janelle, Harrison, and Val were my family member gatherers, tree climbers, hand warmers providers, seamstresses, and a patient voice of reason. They let me take charge and explain ideas I had but also are so incredibly creative and inventive in the images they capture. Janelle and Harrison stayed with us for about 13 hours that day and there aren't any 2 people I would have preferred to have with me all day. They genuinely love what they do and it shows in all their interactions with us and our guests. I am forever grateful for all of their hard work and will never be able to thank them enough for all they did!!!!

Janelle and Terrie are WONDERFUL!! They have been with us since the beginning! My now husband hired Terrie for our proposal! Janelle Brooke Photography was hands down our favourite vendor from our wedding. They had photographed the weddings of 2 acquaintances over the last few years and I knew from seeing those pictures I needed to have them at my wedding! From the first day that we contacted them, Terrie and Janelle were extremely hands on and so warm towards us. As I bride I knew I wouldn't have felt comfortable with a videographer following us around the day of the wedding, so we felt we could spend that extra bit of money on having the most stunning pictures possible – and Janelle and Terry definitely helped us achieve this. Their style was exactly in line with that I wanted –intimate, elegant, and real (no stiff posing & positioning here!). They captured so much of the emotion and excitement of the day. My now-husband and I live in London and got married in New York – which in itself created a stressful wedding planning situation. These women bent over backwards to fit us in for meetings and Skype sessions. They were a pleasure to work with, always reachable, and happy to help. You can feel the kindness, warmth, and patience they have for each and every one of their clients. They worked with us every step of the way and we came out with the most beautiful photos of the most memorable day. I cannot recommend using them enough, we are so happy with all of their work.

To sum it up – Janelle Brooke Photography is flawless. Janelle and her staff are beyond amazing people to work with. They all truly care about their clients and LOVE their jobs. This dedication easily translates into their photos.

When I first met Janelle – I knew she was the one. I booked her right away for both the engagement session and the wedding. I HIGHLY recommend the engagement session. There are so many benefits. You get to see Janelle’s style, get comfortable with each other and you get great pictures that you will treasure.

What makes Janelle so different than everyone else …She is a mini wedding planner. She is in tune with the wedding and understands the importance of the details the brides put into their wedding. She also had great suggestions – which I used the day of my wedding :) She answers phone calls and text messages. Always on time, VERY organized and such a happy and warm person to work with. It truly has been a great experience to work with Janelle. I can’t wait to use JBP again in the future for family photos :)

My wedding was over 7 months ago and I continue to receive the most glowing compliments about my pictures. From the moment my husband and I met Janelle & Terrie we were in love. They sat with us talking through the editing process, the day of timeline, things we might want to consider day of, etc. and this was all before we even had talked about signing a contract for our wedding. If they spent this much time with us before we committed, we couldn't imagine what it would be like when we did. We could not have been more right when we chose JBP.

Janelle & Terrie are so amazing to work with and make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. When we wanted to shoot our engagement photos on the boats at Central Park and then near a church in Chelsea, Janelle & Terrie came up with some additional gorgeous locations in the area to shoot at. They were so responsive to any question I had (and I had many) and never made me feel like I was asking something dumb (which I'm sure I did).

I feel so lucky to have found the gem of a team at JBP and I can say without any question in my mind that they are the best of the best. They aren't just shooting your wedding, they are capturing some of the most beautiful memories of one of your most important days of your life. I go through all of my pictures and know that they could not be any better. If you want the best, it's JBP.

If I could give more stars I would. Janelle and her team are amazing! I definitely recommend the e-session. My husband didn't think we needed it, but the photos from that day are some of our favorites. It gave us a chance to get to know Janelle and Kim, and also to be more comfortable being photographed. Janelle and her wonderful team gave us personalized attention throughout the process. We also had the photobooth at our wedding. All of our guests loved it, it was fun, and our guests appreciated being able to take home funny photos from the booth. Janelle and her team helped make our special day that much more special!!

Our wedding planner referred us to Janelle Brooke Photography, Inc. for our fall 2012 wedding on Long Island. We checked out their website, and instantly fell in love with both their style and love for photography. Our biggest concern with JBP was whether they would be available the weekend of our wedding! Planning an out of state wedding had its own set of challenges but Janelle and Terrie were AMAZING and agreed to video chat with us to go over the ins and outs of our special day. Now, three months after the wedding, we couldn't be happier with our choice. Terrie was our photographer and she was BEYOND AMAZING! Everything from all our meetings leading up to the wedding, to her continued updates following, she and Janelle went above and beyond any expectations we had. The pictures speak for themselves, they are simply stunning. JBP's professionalism, positive energy, and love for their work made them an absolute enjoyment to work with. Through this experience Terrie has become a true friend and we look forward to having JBP capture future life events we'll undoubtedly have. Janelle's work speaks for itself and she has such a talented team that she works with. Photography was the most important vendor to my hubby and me. We met with countless photographers and none of them got us or our vision. Within 10 minutes of meeting the JBP team I was sold. Janelle and Terrie are so sweet and so incredibly patient. The engagement shoot was a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and we love how the pictures came out. The day of the wedding we had Janelle and Terrie there and I cannot wait to see our photos. We got to see a slide show during the reception and everyone who saw the teasers were blown away. Terrie was our photographer for our wedding day and she was absolutely amazing!!! Even though we are in different states she was totally flexible with our phone calls and meetings to scope out photo locations. She’s super easy to get along with and is such a talented photographer. She’s got a great eye for capturing the moment! I still can’t believe some of the awesome pictures she took of me and my hubby are actually US!!! We’re both just not great in front of the cameras and she just made us feel at ease and we actually had a lot of fun! I still think back to the good laughs we had while taking the photos. She’s also great with kids… our ring bearer can sometimes be a terror but she had him smiling and jumping with joy in the pictures. All of the pictures from our wedding day came out absolutely amazing! I’m so glad we went with Janelle Brooke photography for our special day because the only thing that lasts are photos and memories. To say that Janelle Brooke Photography are an exceptionally talented team is an understatement. They are not only immensely talented, and genuinely enjoy what they do, they are a calming influence that all brides (and grooms!) need on their big day. It rained on my wedding day, as we were pulling up to our outdoor photo site. It absolutely could've been a nightmare. But Janelle and her team kept their calm and made my husband and I laugh in spite of everything. We got the few shots that Janelle knew meant so much to me, as the spot held an extreme sentimental value to us, and we went back to our reception venue. I was so comfortable in having faith in her in her team, and it was so reassuring to be able to have that confidence, and know that it would be rewarded. Their team is so quick on turnaround with sneak peeks that its 2 weeks since our wedding and we have already seen some of our pictures (most notably a few of the rain pictures) and we have already seen that confidence rewarded tenfold. There is no better team that I could've imagined working with. I have never heard of a photographer helping to shape the tone of a wedding day, but that is absolutely what Janelle and her team did, in such a good way. I will use them for any and every occasion that I need a photographer in the future, and can't wait to work with them again!

When my husband and I discussed the things we would not skimp on for our wedding, photography was number one on both of our lists. After scowling the Internet and hearing numerous recommendations, we kept going back to JBP’s and we are so happy we did. Working with Janelle and Terrie was, and still is an absolute pleasure. They really make you feel like friends rather then customers. From our fun e- session to the big day, Terrie was attentive, thoughtful and extremely talented. I received so many compliments on the quality of our photos linked to the comment “I didn’t even realized she was there!” They captured every moment gracefully and the photo booth was a huge hit. It definitely was a challenge to create our album because there were so many great shots to choose from, but with the help of Terrie and Kim, we got it done, and I am SO excited to see the results! We are forever grateful to Janelle, Terrie and the team for capturing the best day of our lives.

Janelle and her crew do such a beautiful job! From our unique engagement photos on the Ferry and in Connecticut, to handling our wedding with grace, she is perfect :) She is truly invisible as she documents your day, yet is everywhere you want her to be :) I can't wait to see the rest of our photos, but if our "sneak peak" is any indication, I have no doubt they're beautiful :)

Janelle Brooke Photography is amazing!! My husband and I saw each other before the ceremony to take pictures with Janelle and Terrie, and we say it is one of our favorite and most memorable parts of our day. They really made it all about us, and gave us so much "you and me" time, which you really don't get a lot of thru out the day. Janelle and her team were supportive from start to finish of the wedding process. Janelle herself is easy-going and a pleasure to work with, even during those stressful moments! Janelle was 7 or 8 months pregnant for our wedding and still pulled through and was pleasant and professional. I was especially appreciate and impressed with her offering a second photographer with no charge just in case she wasn't able to get around as well as usual. She ended up being vibrant and energetic throughout our whole wedding despite the 85 degree sunny day and when some stressful moments arose, Janelle was very calming and took charge so that we didn't have to worry. Almost immediately Janelle and her team provided a "sneak peek" of our wedding videos which was so exciting! Her photographs showcase her and her teams talent from the actual taking of the pictures and the polishing up prints. Even the prints we received came in a beautiful box with our picture on it. I have no complaints and would recommend Jannelle Brooke Photography to ever bride and groom I know!

Janelle and Terry were an absolute pleasure to work with! I planned my wedding in seven months and to say I was a little overwhelmed was an understatement! Upon meeting Janelle, I instantly felt at ease! As we spoke and she told me more about herself and her style, I felt a connection to her. Out of all of the wedding vendors I met with, she stood out as the most sincere and committed to what I wanted as a bride. Choosing a photographer became a "no brainer"...........it was JBP for us without a second thought! Our engagement session went beautifully and we received our photos in a timely fashion. They were perfect............candid, artistic and personalized to our needs. On our wedding day, I was frazzled because my wedding bouquet wasn't what I wanted. As soon as I saw Janelle, I knew everything was going to be okay. She catered to my needs and captured the type of photographs I wanted, even though it rained on my wedding day! From the second we met with Janelle we knew she was the photographer for us. We immediately clicked with her and we're completely in love with all of her photos! We did our engagement session with her and Terrie and we had the best day with them, it just felt like we were hanging out with 2 friends for the day! Then Janelle and Paolo shot our wedding and the pictures came out AMAZING! Her pictures are so artistic and creative. We continue to get more and more compliments on our photos every day and everyone is always telling us how awesome our photographer is! On the day of the wedding, we were running a little late with our hair and make up but Janelle made sure to let me know that it was my day and that everything would work out just perfect and not to worry. She really helped keep me calm when I was freaking out about it. She made sure to capture every single moment of the wedding and did a really great job at it. I don't know where to start. When me and the future hubby got engaged the only aspect I was extremely particular about was my Wedding Photographer. I've seen many an album from family and friends over the last few years that go married and I always felt like something was missing in what I was looking at. I met with several photographers and came across the picture shown in Janelle Brooke Photography's profile, a gorgeous bride sprawled upside down on the bed. Although I don't consider myself "radical" or an "art enthusiast" there was something about this shot that screamed unique, special, AWESOME, and I was just drawn to it. When I met Janelle she took me by surprise as she was younger then me but has that way about her to put me at ease. She hugged me versus shaking my hand, and I was blown away by the photos on the wall of her studio. I truly feel that JBP is bound for great things and if I waited any longer I would not be able to afford her. Celebrities would use her, that is how good I think she is. We had our E Session in September and I was BLOWN away with the results. My Future Hubby is a guys guy and only did the shoot for me and she catered to him and made him feel comfortable and it showed in our pictures. I can't say enough good things about Janelle and Terri and her team. Book her while you can!

When looking for a wedding photographer, I didn't want a photographer that gave me good or ok photos. I wanted someone that would give me AMAZING photos! And JBP did that and more!

Janelle and her team went above and beyond to capture every single moment of my day. Her eye for creativity is astounding which shines through in every shot. Her team was nothing but nice to work with, and they were not intrusive at all. The quality of work that JBP brings to the table is nothing but their best which is exactly what a bride wants on her day!

JBP photographed my wedding 9/2/11, as well as our Engagement shoot. I knew I had nothing to worry about with her. I visited with 6 other photographers before I found her on The best of weddings list. I knew right away she would be perfect! The work of JBP was exactly what I fell in love with. When I first met with Janelle, I was sold and booked her on the spot. The pictures came out amazing, I can't stop looking at them. I have had numerous compliments on them as well! Having the moments captured perfectly by JBP Is such an amazing thing to have, but also having them there on our day was a great relief. I would be reminded to "breathe" when I'd get a little overwhelmed with the hectic ness around us, that one little word by Janelle made me totally relax & remember that this is what we planned for. JBP even ran to the store for the groomsmen so that they wouldn't re-route an entire limo and cause us to be late for our photo location. They were amazing, and truely a pleasure to work with. Photographs were the most important thing to me next to the man I decided to marry! That being said, I had a very difficult time finding a photographer that I was comfortable capturing the most important day of my life. Once I saw the JBP team's work I knew it was something very special. As soon as I talked and met with Janelle we had no doubts that every one of our expectations would be met. we had an instant sense of comfort that Janelle understood our vision and would do everything possible to make it happen. We worked with Janelle before the wedding for our engagement photos and boudoir photos. We were so happy with those that we could only begin to imagine how fantastic our wedding photos would be. Janelle and Terrie were there every step of the way, providing feedback and holding my hand when I needed it. As the wedding day came closer we did a day of run throughout so we had a solid day of plan and Janelle helped put it together from minute to minute. The original forecast was rain and Janelle had a great back up plan, reassuring me that it wouldnt rain (which it didn't :)) and totaly confidence. On our day, JBP was calm and comforting. By this time Janelle and Terrie were our friends and no longer a wedding vendor I felt cool and confident knowing they were there not only to photograph our big day but we knew if anything went wrong they would be right there ready to take it all on. Well, of course some things went wrong! I didn't eat all day and was feeling super sick after the ceremony. Janelle got me food and water to make sure I was ok while Terrie captured all the action. What photographer actually does that?! It was very special. Then we had a small fire at our wedding. Although not ideal we all rolled with it and all of JBP was flexible. They even made sure they stayed as late as necessary to capture all the details. JBP worked hard to get us our sneak peek before our honeymoon which was great. Our photos are incredible, they speak for themselves. What is hard to find is an amazing team such as this. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with this amazing team. At the end of the day we made new friends and we feel like the lucky ones!

I felt so relieved to meet a photographer that was really so genuinely interested in what my fiance and I wanted and willing to do anything to make sure we felt comfortable. Have you ever heard the saying "You get what you pay for?" Well, Janelle Brooke Photography was worth every penny! To fully understand why I mentioned this saying, I need to tell you how I ended up finding Janelle Brooke Photography. When I was looking for a photographer, I thought that I would find the best price with quality work to fit my budget. But unfortunately, the first photographer I booked only gave me the great price. I can not stress how important it is to make sure you get an engagement shoot with the photographer you choose. That time you spend with them will show you a little bit of how your wedding day will be and what your photos will look like. The first photographer we booked gave us an engagement shoot. When I got our proofs back I was horrified to see that they were a nightmare. Everything about them were horrible. My fiance and I decided it was better to lose our deposit with them and find another photographer. That is when I came across Janelle Brooke Photography. We were so Impressed with her website that we had to book an appointment to meet her right away. As soon as we meet Janelle we fell in love with her and booked her on the spot! Even though she was more then we wanted to spend, it was SO WORTH the extra money. The quality of her work is amazing. She even edited ALL of our proofs! Her staff was so wonderful and helpful. She made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. Our Engagement Shoot and Wedding Day photos make me cry every time I look at them. Jared and I absolutely fell in love with Janelle from the very beginning. She was so accommodating even before we booked her. She's based in Northport and we live in Brooklyn, needless to say it was difficult finding time to get out to Long Island to meet with all of our potential vendors. Without us even asking, Janelle offered to come out to Brooklyn with her albums and samples to meet with us at our apartment. This was the first time, and certainly not the last time, that Janelle went above and beyond for us, exceeding our expectations (and we weren’t even officially her clients yet).

A few months before the wedding, Janelle offered to meet with us to do a "walk through" at the venue...to look for picture spots, and even offered to drive around with us to a few parks and beaches to see where we wanted to do the pictures prior to the ceremony. We mentioned this to our friends and they would look at us in awe and say, “how much extra are you paying?” But that was the thing…it’s little things like this that set Janelle Brooke Photography apart from the others…that willingness to go out of the way for her clients, and the genuine excitement that comes along with it.

Janelle was always available to talk ideas through or to answer questions…we actually relied on her through the whole process to organize a timeline of the day for us, and it worked out perfectly (who needs a wedding planner when you have an amazing photographer). The day of… Janelle was my source of calm. She would see whenever I got stressed and would tell me to take a breath and smile. Absolutely Amazing.

Thanks to the artistic and creative vision of Janelle Brooke and her exceptional team, the pictures from our Wedding Day came out beautiful beyond words. Anybody who sees our pictures can’t help but rave about how original and breathtaking they are. We were lucky enough to be one of the proud winners of JBP’s Love Story Contest, and we had so much fun with the JBP team at our Bridal Session just a few weeks ago. I hope Janelle is ready for pregnancy sessions and family portrait sessions, because as I told her today on the phone…after shooting all of these weddings, these brides and future brides are going to be coming back to her for many years to come.

I cannot speak highly enough about Janelle Brooke Photography!! Janelle and her entire team were outstanding in every measure, from the first interview, to our amazing engagement session in New York City, to our incredible wedding day out in Montauk, to the album process and all of the professional services she offers after the big day. I am a tad OCD and she continues to blow even me away with her attention to detail. The photographs Janelle took will be treasured for a lifetime, and we receive compliments on them constantly, they really are breathtaking. Her ideas on both creative angles and locations led to fantastic shots, I wish I could put every single one up on our wall! We had quite a few hiccups on our day that could have ruined it, from a still drunk runaway maid-of-honor to a train derailment and missing bus with half our guests, yet she went out of her way to keep me (five months pregnant) calm and upbeat, and actually had us all laughing. Janelle was unobtrusive taking photographs at the event, our friends and family raved about her, it honestly was like having a close friend taking the photographs, not someone I had just met a year before. You barely realized she and her assistant were there yet they captured every moment we could have asked for – and that was after they drove all the way out to Montauk and stayed over the night before just to ensure promptness for our daytime wedding that started with hair and make-up at 7am. Thomas and I will always be grateful for having chosen her as our wedding photographer, and best of all, we made a new friend!
Our greatest compliment besides all of the recommendations we hand out about her is the fact that we will be going back to her for all our family photography needs in the future – she is just that good!!

From the moment I met Janelle, I knew she was "the one". She is so passionate, skillful, friendly and caring. We started off with an engagement shoot...we picked the location, and left the rest up to Janelle. Her creativity is amazing and we were more than happy with our photos. I couldn't wait for the wedding. Along the road to the big day, Janelle was constantly in touch and always there when I had a question or concern no matter how silly it was. The day of my wedding, when all the nerves hit, she was very calming and patient. She dealt with my huge wedding party (22) quickly and efficiently, and got me to my cocktail hour which was our biggest request. Janelle Brooke was an excellent photographer to work with. She has an artistic and fashion style approach to her photography which is beautiful. Janelle Brooke and her team are true professionals, and were the perfect photographers for my wedding. Janelle's fresh photographic style was exactly what I wanted-- I'm looking through my proofs now and there is nothing staged, phony, or contrived about the shots. My mother, ever the critic, was totally impressed. The photos are just simply beautiful. Janelle is also one of the easiest, coolest vendors that I worked with in that she was completely honest with me from the start and she took the time to really find out what I wanted out of my photos. I could go on and on! I am so thrilled that I found Janelle Brooke Photography, and I know that my album is going to be gorgeous. I can't wait!

Outstanding...Extremely professional, attentive and easy to work with!!! Janelle was upfront about cost, her personal availability and her role from beginning to end. Unfortunately, we were unable to work with her directly but she took her time to get to know us and found great photographers to work with us. John, Joe and Terry were wonderful!! They were able to keep the organized chaos we call family together and get all the photos we wanted. They mopped up puddles so my dress would stay dry and even stood out in the misting rain to get pictures on the beach without complaint. They were virtually invisible all day. We can not wait to see our photos!!!

Janelle and Terrie are so truly talented. We had our engagement and wedding photos shot by Terrie and I could not be happier! There was no stress or awkward moments the day of the wedding. So many wonderful moments were captured in such a beautiful way. All of my friends were raving about how nice Terrie was and how awesome she was to be around. Janelle and Terrie always made you feel like you were a top priority and part of their family. I would strongly recommend them to anyone. They are both amazing people.

After meeting with Janelle the first time, I knew I had to have her as my wedding photographer. From that very first(and brief) meeting I felt that she had an understanding of the type of people we were and the kinds of photos we wanted. The vast array of offerings from photo canvases to photo booths was very appealing and something that I wanted to take full advantage of. My husband actually talked me into the engagement session and I'm glad he did. It gave us an even better chance to work one-on-one with Janelle. She worked around our crazy, NYC schedules and some ridiculous weather to make the shoot go off without a hitch. We got the proofs back super quick and they were breathtaking. Better than I could have imagined. We got to be completely ourselves. Believe it or not, she even hooked me up with my fantastic hair & make up team. The week before the wedding she was best friend- reassuring me about the timeline of the day. Answering all of eighty million questions with a smile on her face. The wedding day was beyond words. She showed up before the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds. All of our photos that we absolutely had to have were taken before the ceremony even began(another thing my husband talked me into). Did I mention that we had the photo booth at the reception? It was the biggest hit of the day. At one point there was a line of people waiting to get in! All of our guests complimented and thanked us for it. I have found a photographer for life, or as long as she stays in the business.

I would choose Janelle Brooke again in a heartbeat!
I cannot say enough good things about the personalized service Janelle Brooke offered at my wedding. Even though my contract was for 10 hours, she stayed for about 12 the day of to make sure all essential shots were taken. It was nice to have complete trust in her artistic vision and photography skills. She went above and beyond making sure that my vision for the photos were fulfilled by printing out inspiration photos I gave her as well as visiting the location of the photo site the week before to plan some of the shots ahead of time! I was so nervous the wedding day since we were running late, and Janelle was wonderful about keeping all the make-up artists on schedule and being flexible about the getting ready shots. My bouquet did not come on time, and she came up with such great ideas to get beautiful portraits, using and arranging some of the objects in the room. These shots looked better than if I had the flowers! She is also has a fast turnaround with sending digital albums and proofs. Everyone was amazed they came back so quickly and I was able to send out thank you cards a month later, which is pretty unusual. My entire experience with Janelle was special, personalized, calming (also unusual!), friendly, and professional. She was the best choice I made for the whole wedding process.

Janelle has an imaginative, artful eye and strays away from the "cookie cutter" poses. She's unique and captured gorgeous photographs. We loved our wedding photos.
We were bummed when our church ran over and we missed our cocktail hour because we were taking photographs, so listen to Janelle when she tells you it may be smart to space your church and reception further apart, in case that happens.
Albums are not included in the price so that's a separate contract and transaction. However, she does immediately release the copywrite on all photographs (many photographers make you wait a year) so you don't need to wait to make your own albums/post photographs.
