I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Jim did a phenomenal job on our engagement photos, despite the fact that we got the coldest day, complete with freezing rain and wind- not ideal for a photo shoot. But Jim, and his fabulous second shooter Tana, were such good sports about it. We walked all over the North End of Boston, took all of our must take shots and ended up with an amazing selection of photos that we used in our guest book. Our guests raved about it, and said we looked like models in the pictures. If a photographer can make me look like a model, they get 5 stars! They really did a great job capturing us as a couple, with the backdrop of the North End that I love so much.

We couldn't be happier with the end result, or with the entire process. Working with Jim and Tana was so easy. They were really flexible with our very difficult schedules, being patient even though we switched dates at least three times. They had great ideas, suggestions, and provided excellent direction. They have great personalities, and are really easy to work with. They have excellent attention to detail, and remembered tiny things that I had mentioned, like I wanted a great ring shot, and I was hoping to get photos of us individually. The turn around time is also so fast. We got teasers within days of our session, and a CD with all of the images a couple of weeks later. I highly recommend James Murphy Photography.

Jim and Tana were excellent to work with. The made us feel at ease through the whole process and were a lot of fun at that same time. We loved the final product and are so satisfied with the pictures that we have. There were artistic shots that captured the day as a whole and lots of personal pictures of friends and family. The turn around time for the pictures was incredibly fast and they were very responsive whenever we contacted them. We can not recommend them enough!

James and his wife Tanya were great. They made us feel very comfortable even though we felt very awkward posing for all the wedding shots. The photos came out great too. They worked really well for us because we didn't want a fancy package and he provided a disk of all the shots. Web site is great too for checking up on your photo's.
