We attended a show in the beginning of August of this year. On purchasing the tickets, we were given the option of spending more money on bigger table space. It was also promised that there would be advertising done pre-show. The morning of the show we were sent a list of leads via email, and a lot of the names were looking shady (think, James Jameson, Jeff Jefferson, Lucy Lucille, etc). There was no advertising done at all, besides a couple posts inside the Facebook event posted the day before the event.

We arrived to the show an hour early, since we were emailed different information about start time then was on our ticket, and we wanted enough time to set up just in case. We were led into an empty event room by the hotel staff and told to just pick any table. This was confusing because all the tables were the same size. We set up and waited two hours for the event to start. As other vendors began to set up, many of them asked if we had spoken to the event coordinator, but we hadn't seen anyone besides hotel staff, which was unfortunate because we had printed things to put in the gift bags brides should receive when they walk in the door.

Fortunately it didn't matter because we only saw 4 brides that day. Soon after our event started, another event (for women's empowerment) run by the same company started right outside the door. Some vendors meant to set up in the bridal expo were put there, because the hotel staff was not told it was supposed to be two separate events.

At the very end of the event, someone walked passed our table. I had assumed she was a bride, but found out later she was the event coordinator. She said we can email her for a refund or for a booth at a later show.

It's now the end of October and I've messaged and emailed about the refund several times. They message back that the refund is on the way, and then ignores me for several weeks. Most recent message hasn't even been opened. I've never been to a more poorly run expo and feel so bad for the hotel staff who had to resolve problems created by poor organization. Get your stuff together Jazhara!
