Words can’t express how happy we are with our wedding photos by Cape Cod wedding photographer Mia Foster. We got married in our 40s and our parents have some significant health concerns and we don’t know how long they’ll be with us. This may be the last major family gathering with everyone, so the photos were even more important than usual. We shared our situation and our wishes with Mia and she got it, and us, right away. We told her that along with a few posed group shots, we wanted primarily candids of us with our family and friends. She did that and then some, managing to capture the essence of our loved ones so beautifully. We aren’t huge wedding planning people so even the concept of a “first look” was new to us - Mia went above and beyond both in the planning stage and on the wedding day, suggesting things we could consider that might make the day (and photos) more meaningful, but never pushing anything on us. Bottom line, she heard us and worked tirelessly to help create a magical wedding day for us, and a stunning set of shots that represents it. Her photographic eye, equipment, story-telling approach, and post-editing skills created very authentic shots that we’ll treasure for a lifetime; her experience as an award-winning photojournalist is very clear. We could not be more pleased with the result, or with her. We highly recommend her.

Mia was an amazing choice for a photographer. We reached out to Mia because of the style of her photos and they seemed to capture so much emotion of the weddings she was photographing. From the very beginning she wanted to get to know us and find out what was most important to us in our photos. We had multiple meetings to discuss our visons and priorities, create a dream timeline together, and ensure that we were all on the same page. We got married at Ocean Edge and she was familiar with the venue and was able to suggest great places to take photos that had great lighting. My wife and I are very analytical and she was able to really create the shot and make us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. She was so helpful ensuring and prioritizing exactly what we wanted in the timeline preparation. We wanted specific photos that felt candid and captured our personality and she helped us ensure the timeline was what we wanted. As part of our package we were able to do an engagement photoshoot such that we could meet in person before wedding day, get used to taking photos, and have beautiful photos of the two of us to use for save dates/invitations and other announcements. Mia comes to the rehearsal to make sure that everyone is on the same page in terms of timeline for wedding day, and organizes the most efficient way to take photos such that there is no chaos on wedding day. On wedding day, she was with us for the entire day and was snapping pictures all night to ensure every perfect moment was captured. She brought along a second photographer to ensure she captured the most important moments! Mia takes amazing photos and knows how to get the shot. When we look at our photos we feel all the same emotions that we felt on wedding day and she truly captured everything as it was. Her work is truly immaculate. We have received countless compliments on the photos and there are photos of everyone at the wedding so all of our guests got great photos taken too! Mia was a pleasure to have capturing my daughter's wedding day. Everything was well planned with several pre-event consults on site to concept. She is creative with great vision, good at getting candids, and really good with getting people relaxed and natural. And many, many pics - be glad you don’t pay by the photo!

What a wonderful experience we had working with Mia! She was our photographer for a family photo shoot in Chatham, MA. She knew the perfect location and time to schedule our appointment to capture the best lighting and backgrounds.

Mia photographed our Cape Cod wedding in June and was amazing. She is enthusiastic, attentive, and talented. She went above and beyond and made me feel like her only client. While planning, we had several phone calls and met for a walk through of the venue 2 months before. Our wedding weekend, she came the day before to pick our first look location and came to our rehearsal as well! The day of, she showed up in a big rain coat, ready for any weather (which luckily cleared!!). She was everywhere, getting EVERY shot. As a bride who felt uncomfortable in front of the camera, she was patient and encouraging. She was happy to take as many (golden hour- more portraits please!) or as little (moment after ceremony- private) photos I wanted. In the end, I was amazed at both the quality and quantity of photos she captured. I highly recommend Mia if you want hundreds and hundreds of beautiful photos to remember the big day!

We have worked with Mia for family photos in both small and large groups, and she's simply amazing. Our family started with Mia 5 years ago. We did a family shoot and individual child photos. Mia chose the perfect setting and the pictures were beautiful. We just used Mia again for another family shoot this past summer and we absolutely love the work she does. She is wonderful with kids and teens and takes so many shots! She makes everyone feel comfortable and is at ease behind the camera. I imagine she will cover our three children’s weddings some day.
