Wequassett Resort and Golf Club is a romantic waterfront resort in Chatham, Massachusetts. Looking for a classy, sophisticated waterfront wedding? Check out this resort on the elbow of Cape Cod with a manicured seaside lawn, lush floral gardens, and the beautiful backdrop of Pleasant Bay. As you say your vows to your spouse-to-be, you and your guests can look out over the bay. With at least six event spaces, the resort is able to make your vision come true.
Facilities And Capacity
The resort can accommodate up to 300 guests. LiBAYtion is an outdoor canopied bar area that can be used in conjunction with the Pleasant Bay Terrace or Outer Bar & Grille for a private cocktail hour. You have two gorgeous waterfront options to hold the ceremony, either on The Grand Lawn or The Garden Terrace. The Garden Terrace is a tented structure with floor-to-ceiling accordion style glass doors that open up to Pleasant Bay. It’s decorated with a dramatic lighting fixture and several plants. The neutral palette can accommodate any theme or color scheme you choose. The outdoor terrace is extensive, spacious, and showcases incredible infinity views of the water. For the reception, The Pavilion is an exquisite setting, meant to reflect the style and beauty of Cape Cod, it can accommodate up to 250 guests for a catered event.

The BEST Wedding Venue!
Our coordinator, Megan Sugg, was so kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We met with Megan a few times leading up to the wedding and in each meeting she was so patient in answering all of our questions and providing recommendations when we asked for suggestions. On the day of, Megan and another coordinator, Alex, did an amazing job making sure everyone was where they needed to be and that all of the vendors knew the timing of the evening. More importantly, they helped us all be able to relax and have fun! We really enjoyed working with Megan and any couple who is able to work with her is so lucky.
The venue itself is also amazing. The views are unmatched and all of the food served was delicious. We had so many guests tell us afterwards how much they loved the cocktail hour food and drinks and the reception meal. We can’t wait to go back to Wequassett in the years to come and reminisce on our day. Thank you to the entire Wequassett team for making our wedding day so special!

The wedding day itself was flawlessly orchestrated, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment.
We also want to extend our gratitude to the entire resort staff for making our stay — and our guests’ stay — so memorable. Every person we interacted with was kind, attentive, and seemed to know our families by name. Our friends and relatives are still talking about how exceptional the service was.
The property is truly five-star in every sense. During our wedding weekend, the flowers were in full bloom and the landscaping was immaculate, creating a naturally stunning backdrop that made even our minimal décor feel elegant and complete. Every inch of the resort exudes care, beauty, and refinement.
Wequassett exceeded every expectation — not only as a venue, but as a partner in creating a joyful, unforgettable celebration. We will always be grateful to the entire team for bringing our vision to life with such grace and heart.
