Owner Jessi Laurence has more than 10 years of experience as a professional painter, specializing in the painting of both landscapes and portraits. She understands that getting married is a special occasion, one that’s made up of many moments that often seem to pass by all too quickly. Jessi’s live paintings allow couples to have an original, timeless piece of art that captures one of the most important days of their lives.
Services Offered
Whether you opt for a painting of your ceremony or reception, this artist will arrive at the venue beforehand to start the painting’s background. As guests begin to arrive, Jessi will add them to the painting and start to focus on aspects such as the event’s ambience and lighting. The couple will be the focus of the piece, and the painting will be completed by the end of the celebration. Clients working with J Laurence Art for their big day will be able to receive their live wedding painting after it has dried.

If you are considering getting a live painter for your wedding, seriously look no further. I did a lot of research and not only is Jessi insanely talented, her pricing is extremely fair. My guests had an amazing time watching her paint and she was engaging with us and our guests. Truly we were blown away and so were our guests. She dressed appropriately for a wedding and was accommodating with what we wanted captured. Jessi was truly a gem and having her at the wedding was one of the best decisions I made. -

I surprised my husband by hiring Jessi to paint our first dance, live at our wedding! This turned out to be the greatest gift we could have ever asked for. We were married at The Baltimore Museum of Art, so having a live painter really tied into our theme. Our guests had never seen a live painter before, and they were absolutely blown away! I continue to receive compliments on how cool it was that we had a painter, and how talented Jessi is! My husband and I are so in love with our painting and we can't believe how realistic it looks. Jessi did a phenomenal job. She was amazing to work with -- responsive, kind, and enthusiastic. I would recommend Jessi to anyone wanting to make their day that much more special! We look forward to passing this painting down in our family as an heirloom and treasuring it forever. -

Jennifer was beyond amazing! Our live painting came out so pretty. It was tough chosing a live wedding painter as a lot of them the people painted were often odd looking not quite true to real life. One of my favorite parts about Jennifer is she's able to capture a more true look of whoever she's painting. There wasn't a single guest that didn't love watching her paint. People are still talking about how cool and nice the painting came out. I honestly couldn't recommend her enough she was great to work with -
