J&L Photography - we are destination wedding and elopement photographers. Seamlessly blending an editorial eye and a photojournalistic approach we aim to capture your day in a timeless way that looks and feels like you - through the art of 35 mm and 120 film, super 8 videos, polaroids, and digital photography
On your wedding day, everything moves so fast, we want to slow down time and capture the fleeting moments so you can relive them long after your flowers wilt, your cake is eaten, and your guests have flown home. We always aim to capture the raw in-between moments. Your dad wiping away a tear as he sees you for the first time, your newlyweds hand grazing the small of your back, your head thrown back in laughter as they whisper something in your ear.
We aim to capture photos that look and feel like you using the art of 35 mm and 120 film, polaroids, super8 films, and digital photos. Documenting the thoughtful details of the day, candids of your loved ones coming together, and the in-between moments as they unfold. Using natural light and direct flash with true to tone film inspired editing we create photos that feel elevated and editorial yet relaxed and real. Your wedding photos should reflect who you are as a couple- not whatever instagram filter is currently trending.

Just Do It!
Juliette and Liz are professional, kind, genuine, and easy to work with. And to top it all off, they photographed our wedding beautifully. We are so glad to have met them, and we hope to work with them again in the future. They were the best vendor we hired for our wedding this past summer. Juliette is a DREAM wedding photographer!
Juliette was an absolute professional - she made sure she knew exactly what my husband and I were looking for ahead of our big day. On the day of our wedding, she captured every moment possible while remaining respectful of our guests and the occasion. She also made a number of very helpful suggestions on the day, creating opportunities for photos that we treasure. She has a stunning eye for composition.
Our final photos (which we received very shortly after our wedding day - it was a quick turnaround) absolutely took our breath away. We revisit them often and they always bring a tear to our eyes. She captured our love and the love of our families and friends so perfectly. And every time we show our photos to anyone, they always remark at the talent of our photographer! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, talented, and experienced photographer for their wedding.

Perfection
I'd be surprised if anyone has a bad thing to say about Juliette- she photographed my wedding and was so sweet, cool, professional, supportive, responsive, etc etc. She knows her shit, has SUCH a talented eye, and has an absolutely dreamy processing style. She's also just such a quality human- I've known her for years. Our friends and family were blown away by the photos she captured! She got the perfect mix of portraits, candids, and detail shots, and I'll say it again- her eye for composition and detail as well as her patience, flexibility and people skills just can't be beat.
I work in the wedding industry and my advice to brides is to *never* skimp or compromise on your photographer- the day really does go by in a (very fun and exciting) flash and after it's all said and done, it means the world to have really amazing wedding day photos you can look back on to remember each moment.

Lovely Human, Stunning Photos
Juliette photographed our intimate, COVID wedding in 2020. I cannot recommend her highly enough! It was really smoky where we were and we didn't know how that would impact photos and capturing the day, but the finished product photos we got back were STUNNING. She made mine and my husband's families (as well as us) feel very comfortable and helped us stay calm when we fell behind our timeline for the day and still managed to get us to the altar on time! Would recommend her for any wedding photography needs!
