Hospitality has taken a hard hit & never once was the service or communication compromised due to Covid. They worked tirelessly to make our travels to Aruba for my best friend's wedding seamless. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Island vows! Cherie and her team went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect wedding and wedding week! All of our guests were treated with star treatment while booking with Cherie and Island vows. Not only was Cherie an educated and attentive travel agent but was an amazing liaison between myself and my resort. I would 100% recommend Cherie and Island vows to anyone looking to book travel. I will use Cherie in the future for all my travel needs.

Cherie was fantastic to work with. Our group totaled 175 people. We had one of the bigger wedding parties that the Hard Rock has ever hosted but Cherie handled it with ease. Cherie made everything go smoothly from the early stages of booking the venue all the way up through the wedding day. She makes a very clear itinerary for each of your guests that explains the whole trip including the transfers from the airport once you arrive on the island. Also she makes a very helpful spreadsheet that she updates weekly that shows what dates all of your guests book and which flights they are on so you don't have to follow up with them personally or even bother Cherie on that. We found that very helpful. Cherie also gets you a group rate that beats the hotels group rate. I would highly recommend Cherie, she made our trip stress free. The trip blew away are expectations and we had high expectations to begin with. Cherie and the Hard Rock Punta Cana is the way to go.

I would recommend Cherie w/ Island Vows to anyone looking to make their destination wedding travel easier! We recently had 55 guests accompany us to our destination wedding in Mexico and I cannot imagine what a headache it would have been if we wouldn't have used Cherie. She was incredibly patient, and responsive, and I knew I was always getting accurate information from her. Not to mention the perks that my husband and I got for each guest that booked through her :) All flights and transportation to & from the airport went smoothly. To me, using a travel agent is a must for a destination wedding, especially if you're bringing a larger group. We can't thank Cherie enough for everything that she did for us!

Neither my husband nor I had worked with a travel agent before planning our wedding, but Cherie made the process as easy as possible! She was available by email to discuss blocking rooms and coordinating activities for our wedding weekend in Montego Bay, Jamaica in January. Similar to the experience of another reviewer, we put down a deposit for each room we wanted to reserve at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. As guests booked, we were able to keep track of numbers and put the deposit funds toward our own stay at the Iberostar in the week before the wedding. Cherie helped us navigate unexpected cancellations and update our numbers as needed. Before leaving, each of our guests had information for her local tour affiliate, Nexus Tours, which provided ground transportation to and from the airport. During the weekend, we also enjoyed a welcome dinner for 40 guests at the Steakhouse at the Iberostar Beach, and group transportation to several weekend activities and the wedding with Reggae Tours--all of which Cherie coordinated! While we never had the pleasure of meeting Cherie, she was present in every part of our seamless wedding weekend!

If you need a travel agent you need to contact Cherie Peninger. I was connected with Cherie through a Facebook wedding group. Once I talked to Cherie she reached out to her suppliers to get us rates. Cherie was able to offer us a significantly more affordable rate than any of the other agents we checked with. We were getting discouraged but after meeting Cherie things quickly started coming together and we were able to start planning our dream wedding. From day one Cherie was just incredible. Her experience and knowledge was a huge advantage for us and we quickly knew our guests would be in good hands. Cherie was quick to respond to all of our needs and did the same for all of our guests. Cherie went above and beyond to make the booking process a smooth one. Cherie made our entire wedding website for us which she compiled with photos, Q&A sections, booking links and more, she handled all our guests reservations, sent everyone email reminders, personally mailed everyone information packets, answered what i’m sure was hundreds of questions from myself and various guests all within the same day of asking them, and she continued to follow up with me to see if there was anything I needed before leaving for my destination wedding. Once we arrived on site we had a few issues with guests missing their flights, wanting to change reservations, etc and Cherie was right there to answer their call, available, and willing to continue accommodating our group needs. I can’t say enough positive things about Cherie to express my appreciation for everything she did for our group. She was just fabulous and truly went above and beyond what we expected from a travel agent.

Cherie was a dream come true!!!! I originally started with a different travel agent first and it was a disaster. I immediately switched to Cherie instead. She took the stress out of dealing with my family and always responded that day or first thing the next day. Very knowledgable!!!! Once my travel day came I was so prepare with all the documents she mailed to us and everything was a breeze. Even while on vacation issues came up and she helped along the way! So glad i found her. Will be using her again and again! She's stuck with us now:)

Cherie came on board AFTER I had already signed a group contract directly with Miami. The group rate I got directly from HR was said to be “Per room per night” which I interpreted that the “Single” amount quoted was the rate for one person in room per night and that the “Double” was based on two people per night. Cherie came in and saved the day, getting me out of my contract with Hard Rock and into a much more reasonably priced contract with one of her suppliers; she even made it possible to transfer the $300 deposit into the new contract. The only difference was that we were responsible for making a $100 deposit per room we wanted on our room block. We began with 20 rooms and as my guests made their deposits it freed up our funds to book additional rooms. Cherie handled everything with our guests and provided me with a link I could go in anytime I wanted to get an update on bookings (which for me was daily lol). Even when venting on the board about matters that had nothing to do with her services, she would PM me and take charge, always getting a response. When the payoff deadline rolled around, I asked her how many people had balances left so that I could reach out directly and she refused to tell me. She proceeded to tell me to relax that she would take care of everything- till this day I don’t know if anyone blew the deadline and I am eternally grateful to her for saving me from the added stress. When Delta lost two of our bags, I made a comment on the board (as I usually do because honestly no one understands us more than other sister brides) and she immediately sent me a PM and asked me to send her the case number and details on the bag. Miraculously, the bags were located shortly after Cherie got involved. I would recommend her in a heartbeat; the level of stress that is taken off of your shoulders is PRICELESS.
