The Interfaith Clergy Network was founded in Cherry Hill, New Jersey over 49 years ago (1971) by Rabbi Shimon L. Berris (retired) and Reverend Justin Herbst (of blessed memory), They recognized the opportunity to assist families by co-officiating together at inter-religious life cycle celebrations and events (Jewish-Catholic - Protestant). Since the inception of our ecumenical clergy group, our rabbis, cantors, priests, deacons, and ministers have officiated individually and together at countless weddings , Namings and Baptisms, and Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies throughout the United States and in several other countries as well. Now directed by Cantor Neil A. Berris, our current roster includes 23 seminary educated and ordained clergy, with years of compassionate service and experience in synagogues, temples, parishes, congregations, and chaplaincies.

Personalized and intimate
Cantor Berris helped make our wedding ceremony so wonderful for us! Given the circumstances of the time our wedding was scheduled for, Cantor Berris made an extra effort to accommodate us and treat us extra special on our day. We can't wait for our ceremony with our friends and family in a few months. Thank you again Cantor, you made our day complete!Sent on 03/21/2020

Cantor Berris Saved the Day
Got married to my beautiful Wife on September 13, 2020. Leading up to the date back in August we had issues retaining the services of a Rabbi for the ceremony due to concerns of Covid-19. My mother suggested to try reaching out to the Rabbi who had married her and my father. To our surprise we had learned that Cantor Berris was in fact the son of the Rabbi who had married them, which made working with him all the more special. Cantor Berris was wonderful to work with and saved our ceremony. He co-officiated extremely well /synergized with the Pastor we were also working with even though they only had a short amount of time to get to know each other. He also came very prepared with a beautiful interfaith ceremony that made each of our families very happy. We hope to retain his services again next year when we perform a vow renewal.Sent on 10/03/2020

Best. Day. Ever.
Cantor Neil performed our wedding service July 18, 2020. We were fortunate enough to have several FaceTime meetings so that even though we couldn't meet in person beforehand, we knew exactly how our service was going to go. While I am Jewish, my husband is Catholic and Cantor Neil blended our faiths perfectly so that all of our guests felt included and every faith was acknowledged in its entirety. With Covid and quarantine, we especially did not know if our wedding would actually occur and what it would look like but Cantor Neil never wavered and he gave us the most amazing day. We have never felt more special. Cantor Neil made us feel like family and every detail was perfect. We can't thank you enough!Sent on 07/20/2020
