I really loved working with Michael and Summer! Michael Smith was our DJ and Summer did all the paperwork and handled the business side of things! I can not rave high enough on their services! Michael has a great sense for music and what needs to played when along with following all of my extensive directions :) He remains calm and collected but also is fun and receptive to all my needs! I really loved working with both of them.
Besides being talented with music and guests, they are very professional! All my emails, questions, phone calls were answered immediately! Finally, their prices are beyond reasonable!!!! They were truly great and I would love to work with them again!

Though I have decided to not have a DJ if I was going to have one it would be Paul from In The Groove Events! We met at a bridal show and I instantly knew he was the DJ for us. He was kind and answered all my questions and scheduled a time to answer more questions. He had some awesome deals available for booking through the bridal show. He gave me his email and said to email anytime and he was also very quick to respond. He didn't push us to get a bigger package, he understood that we wanted something simple. Please check out Paul if you want an attentive reliable DJ!

Michael from In the Groove Events is AWESOME! He is the opposite of the typical cheesy DJ – no lame music, no awkward announcements… just a bumping dance floor all night long. His wife, Summer, handles the business aspect of things, and I found her to clear and responsive throughout the entire planning process.

If you hire Mike, let him do this thing – he gets a very comprehensive sheet with your preferences, but he may not play all of your and your guests’ requests. Honestly, I’m almost glad he didn’t – he knows what he’s doing, and he gave us EXACTLY the kind of party we wanted!

DJ Pablo (Paul) was an awesome DJ. Our wedding was fairly small (~40 people). Despite being a mostly younger crowd (late 20s and early 30s), I was worried the dance floor would peter out after while. However, once the dancing started (~8pm), the dance floor was never empty until we had to leave (10pm). DJ Pablo knew our crowd and we got many compliments on the music selection.

While we didn't do an extensive search, I think it would be hard to beat the price and get the same value. Our package was as half of some of the prices we were quoted! We felt like we were scamming him. We got some basic lighting, and it did add some atmosphere to the dance floor.

He does pitch different packages (lighting, aerial drone shots, video), but he does listen if you say no. A minor point is that we seemed to have some communication confusion in the planning stages, but that was easily ironed out before the wedding, and occurred with some of our other vendors as well since there our many little details to remember.

If you want to have a DJ that can crank it up and make sure everyone has an unforgettable time, then Paul is the DJ you want at your wedding!! Paul did our wedding at Hidden Meadows this summer. He'll be flexible and play what you've requested, but you'll want to let him do his thing because his soundtrack will be better than anything you could have thought up for your reception!

DJ Mike is great! The music for our ceremony and reception went off without any issues. He was very responsive during the wedding and catered to our guests needs. He kept people dancing all night. What you get for your money is awesome.

Mike was an awesome dj. He was able to mc the wedding/dinner/dancing and did great. He played any and all songs we wanted. I let him pick music for dinner and he nailed it. He is a real dj and great at it. Very cool guy also. The only complaint would be the slow email response time in a couple occasions. Stick to phone and you will have zero complaints.

In the Groove Events provided lighting and DJ services for my wedding in Seattle. They were definitely the cheapest wedding DJ vendor out there and provided what I needed. However, the communication was, at times, lacking and unclear. However, DJ Mike gets the job done and our guests had a great time out on the dance floor. We had guests that we've never seen dance actually get up to DANCE!

I wish I could give a better recommendation for DJ Pablo, as they came to us highly recommended. DJ Pablo kept people dancing all night, that is for sure. However, he repeatedly played un-edited songs that contained numerous swear words which were NOT appropriate for the children present. He did this multiple times even after myself and other people went up to him and asked him to stop. I cannot recommend DJ Pablo to any wedding that has children present or guests that would be offended by un-edited songs. We are still getting complaints from friends and family about this, and it's been over a month since the wedding. Definitely a bummer!
