More About Me:

Born Roger A. Wilbanks in 1977, I am DJ Banks. I have been DJ’ing for over 5 years. I used to spin electronic music on vinyl when I was younger but never really took it seriously. I decided to get back in to it when I knew 5 people looking for a DJ for their weddings and could not find anyone worth hiring. I did all necessary research in new equipment, decided to go digital, and booked all 5 weddings. Since, I have done around another 25 weddings alone along with private and corporate events and graduation parties.

If you are looking for a DJ with the experience, equipment and energy to take your event to that next level, you found me. I accept bookings for any venue; bars, special events, weddings, corporate parties, private parties, house parties, graduation parties and more. I reside in Oakland County just north of Detroit in the amazing city of Royal Oak. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 5 years now and have two amazing children. DJ’ing is just a part time gig for me. I work as the Director of IT for a private firm in Troy. This benefits my clients as I do not overcharge for my services, I love to DJ, interact with people and spin great music. Having a night run smoothly and keeping everyone entertained is a sense of accomplishment and something I take pride in.

Whatever you need, I can mix. I have an account with GrooveShark that allows me to stream from a library of roughly 8 million ‘licensed’ songs. I have never worked an event where requests were taken and did not have the song being asked for. Mixing is my strong point, blending music takes a special ear. I have always preferred to mix House, Electronic, DNB, Dubstep and Techno but can just as easily mix Top 40s, oldies, country and more.
I own all of my equipment and as the years go on trade up for newer equipment. My sound is amazing, well-tuned with proper lighting. I have wireless mics, fog machines, laser lights and LED lighting. I can easily pump 1,000s of watts of audio of tunes for events up to 250 people. If I need more equipment for larger parties or events I have that all my disposal as well as video projection equipment, and more.
I will always work hard to make your event a success from the planning stages to the last song of the evening. This is why you hire a professional.
