This was the perfect place for our wedding and our guests. Food was good and the decor was just what we wanted!

I don't have any positive or negative feedback for Houston's Ballroom's. The coordinators changed during the process, therefore things one lady said could be done, the other said they couldn't. We didn't really use their decorators. They did the tables, but my florist, Mike at Mary's Little Shop of Flowers, did all of the floral arrangements and center pieces. I did get upset with Sandra because she often had a snobish attitude and was unwilling to budge on anything.

I need more than 2000 characters, but-- We had to call ourselves to make food tasting appt a month before wedding because they didn't. Didn't hear from DJ until 4 days before wedding. Sent him a idiot proof list of all songs and in order and he only played 8 of them. Asked him to meet with us, he said he would do it THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. He interrupted our pictures to tell us he needed another song because he couldn't find the sand ceremony song. Food was bland, cake was ok (icing was awful, no alternatives to order). Bartender didn't know how to make cherry vodka sour for my wife, I had to do it. They cut our cake w/o telling us (no pics of us cutting cake). Asked manager to lock dressing rooms, he said he would and he didn't, $200+ dollars stolen from bridesmaids' wallet. He wouldn't do anything to reimburse her, just kept saying "I didn't take it so I'm not paying for it." I TRULY HOPE THAT THIS COSTS THEM AT LEAST ONE PARTY ($7,000-10,000), AS THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT HAPPENED ON THEIR PREMISES. All you had to do was give her the $200 that was in her wallet and take ownership that it happened at your establishment, while YOU were providing security, and you were asked to lock the doors and never did. I did not ask for any return on the terrible service we received that night, but the LEAST you could do was to refund her money, whether you took it or not.
The place was a little more inexpensive than the rest of the places we looked at, but I guess we got what we paid for.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
