Our wedding was absolutely beautiful thanks to Hotel Vetro and their staff! They were very flexible and Emily Lemke was a joy to work with! There was a slight hickup during the reception with the servers/food but the staff did everything possible to fix the problem and make us happy. We would definitely recommend Hotel Vetro to anyone looking to get married in Iowa City!

Fantastic in many ways, the hotelVetro assigns a point person to your wedding who oversees the coordination of vendors, set up, etc. We were somewhat unlucky in that we experienced one event coordinator leave and a new one coming into the role. It slowed communication somewhat. All of that being said, we felt that both event coordinators were trying their best and genuinely wanted to be helpful. We are positive that we don't even know the extent of work that had to happen behind the scenes to make things go as well as they did. Without exception, the coordinators were always courteous/solicitous/accommodating, even when we were stressed and probably stressful to deal with. That meant the world to us.

We did feel as if we received great value for the price. The hotelVetro's rental fees were reasonable, provided modern spaces, friendly staff, and offered complimentary perks (e.g., small treats as the bridal party got ready, romantic touches to the bridal suite, basic mirrors/linens/chairs, and more) that made our planning easier and the big day more enjoyable. They are connected with wonderful vendors in the area who enjoyed the same aesthetic as the groom and myself. You do need to cater through the venue; however, we heard nothing but positive comments on the food and were able to get the exact beverages that we wanted.

The hotels management and staff went above and beyond my expectations. They helped put the final touches for ceremony and reception room, even we were faced with chances of rain during ceremony, they were all prepared to change to backup room if it did. The cocktail hour was nice, hotel provided at no add'l cost even though we met our $600 min in food and drink. Everything from beginning to end went off without a hitch! We all had so much fun!
