Historic Wedding Venues in Cedar Rapids

I knew I wanted a rustic, barn themed wedding and the stable was the perfect location! It was really beautiful with all our decor and the beams wrapped with lights. The beams did make it a struggle to set up tables but we made it work. The only real issue was there was no PA system to connect the downstairs, upstairs, and outside for our guests to hear announcements and the music.

We are a wedding planning company, and the HarMac team doesn't know I'm writing this. We highly recommend them for their professionalism, organization, and value. It's a gorgeous venue with tons of spots for the most beautiful photos. It's conveniently located in Cedar Rapids, easy to find, and has lots of parking. We love the space's versatility for designing and organizing a variety of events, especially our weddings. It's literally such a great blank space. I had a meeting with Lia yesterday about an upcoming 2026 wedding, and she was so accommodating with everything our couple was requesting for their big day. If you're searching for something that is in Eastern Iowa that isn't a barn, check this out. It's a wonderful option.

This is a beautiful place to host your wedding. We were looking for something flexible and budget friendly. We rented the hall for 4 days to allow time to set up and take down and it was the best! We were able to supply our own vendor for food and drinks. It was everything we wanted! It has its own charm so you do not have to spend a fortune on decorations! In the beautiful scene of downtown Galena, our guests were so amazed with the beauty and charm our wedding offered! They had a great time and we got exactly what we wanted! A day that was all our own!

Ushers Ferry was great to work with! They were so flexible as we had to change the location for the ceremony literally an hour before our wedding was to start due to rain. I would book with them again in a heartbeat!

Our corporate retreat, which included the escape room, was absolutely perfect! Service was amazing, and three months later my team is still talking about what a great day it was. So extremely affordable, welcoming, and thorough. Don't hesitate to book your event at Shores!

Steeple Square was the perfect place for us to hold our wedding reception. The space is so beautiful that we didn't have to do much decorating, and Melanie was so helpful, it made planning and the day itself go so smoothly. I think the comment we've gotten the most since our wedding has been about how beautiful the venue was, so I definitely recommend having your wedding/party/event at Steeple Square! Don't even look at other places because it has it all.

I was the first bride to book this venue when still under construction and it was worth the wait!! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and Justin the cook is PHENOMENAL!! Everyone couldn’t get over how great the food was!! Kyla was great to work with and really rallied the day of to make sure everything was perfect!

I am a seasoned wedding planner and I was completely blown away with this beautiful spot. The interior of this gorgeous salon and sanctuary are like nothing I’ve seen before. The stained glass, woodwork and chandeliers make this spot perfect for a wedding day!
