This place is BEAUTIFUL and it was perfect for our small, vintage-themed wedding. Everyone loved it. Price was great too! My husband and I love history, and many of our family members appreciated getting to walk around and look at the village before and after the ceremony.Sent on 09/17/2012

Out wedding at Ushers Ferry was perfect! The staff there worked with us over the internet to make our day possible from 2 states away. They suggested other resources for our wedding, met with us for the rehearsal, and offered an emergency back up in case of rain. We had to rush a little during pictures to get out on time, but I couldn't have asked for a better location or better people to work with. We will remember it forever!!Sent on 11/17/2014

Ushers Ferry was great to work with in the beginning. We booked the venue and we were able to stay on their old contract as they had just updated it. A month or so before our wedding, I emailed our contact and she let me know that she was retiring THAT week. We were not informed of this in a timely manner and all of a sudden has to update someone brand new on everything we had planned. This was quite inconvenient since there was no planning done on their part with this employee retiring. The second person we worked with worked very diligently to make sure everything was ready to go for us and that our event ran smoothly. However, on the night of our wedding, a last call announcement was made by our DJ without our approval; turns out it came from the part time employee that was assigned our event that evening. We had to fight and argue and finally pull out our contract to find out that she didn’t even know we were on an old contract. With that, this venue lacked a lot of communication on many people’s part which caused a lot of frustration. On a good note, the venue was absolutely gorgeous and made for a beautiful backdrop for our pictures.Sent on 08/14/2018
