About

Stoney Creek Castle is a family-owned wedding venue in Earlville, New York. This brand new venue is only 10 minutes away from Hamilton, the home of Colgate University and a short drive from Syracuse, Utica and Binghamton. This beautiful and magical place has so much to offer. The creek that runs next to the Castle adds charm to an intimate, romantic ceremony and cocktail hour. With both indoor and outdoor event spaces, Stoney Creek Castle is an ideal location for an unforgettable wedding celebration. The venue is equipped with central heating and cooling providing all season comfort for you and your guests.

Facilities and Capacity

Stoney Creek Castle is made out of 8000 square feet and can accomodate up to 300 guests with plenty of room for a dance floor. Every inch of the Castle from the entrance door, bar, wooden plank walls, black walnut tables, rustic beam chandeliers to King and Queen chairs was handcrafted by the owners, using all reclaimed, local materials. This structure features castle arched windows that provide a lot of natural light, indoor fireplace- perfect for winter weddings and a bridal suit located in one of the towers. Stoney Creek Castle is a perfect venue for your fairytale wedding!

Services Offered

Stoney Creek Castle has everything you need to make your wedding dreams come true. Wedding package includes: full day of exclusive access to the venue, indoor or outdoor ceremony set up, a rehearsal walk-through, black walnut tables, chiavari chairs, tall cocktail tables, macrame for the ceremony arch, climate control, fireplace, and more. An on-site staff will also be available to support you and make sure your wedding day goes smooth and stree free.

Can not recommend enough! Amazing!

From the very start we had a wonderful experience. It was the most personable of any venue we visited and both Magdalena and Doug went above and beyond from start to finish to help us. The day was absolutely magical, I want to get married again just to have another event with them. Thank you so so much!

Delicious!

Holy Smokes was so delicious! They were amazing to work with when planning our dream menu and happily helped when we kept making changes on our end. Magdalena was so responsive and dropped off the silverware and plates ahead of time so we can set up tables for pictures and the aesthetic. Their food was amazing, the only downside was that I got full and couldn’t eat more!! Haha! All of our guests raved about the food from the brisket to the pulled pork to the all the sides ugh it was heavenly! They set up their tables nicely and you wouldn’t even notice they were there! I would highly recommend them again and plan to visit their pop-up sites to eat it all again!!

Great Food

Food was excellent! All of our guests were raving over it, especially the coleslaw. One of our bridesmaids considers herself a coleslaw connoisseur gave it a 10/10 along with two thumbs up. We ourselves didn't have a chance to eat during cocktail hour, I was able to grab a couple pieces of bruschetta, which was delicious! We received compliments on everything from the Caesar salad, to the pulled pork, and the BBQ sauce. My personal favorite were the roasted potatoes which had such a unique flavor. We had a buffet styled dinner which they set up and took down flawlessly. We could not have asked for a better caterer.

My wedding caterers

They catered our wedding on 6/8/19 and were truly amazing! From the courteous demeanor to the delicious food and display of their catering stations. They are an amazing company and would recommend them to anyone!!

Great Barbecue

They brought the smoker and cooked on-site so the whole venue smelled like a BBQ even before the fod was brought out. We got numerous compliments on all of the food they served.

Doug and Magdalena were an absolute JOY to work with! As soon as my husband and I sat with them for the tasting we knew they were the ones! Perfectly communicative wit h fast response times to all of my questions and requests. They showed up early and were completely prepared and hands on with everything!

Now, the food! "Finger Licking Good" would be the cheesy thing to say but oh hey look, I already said it. Absolutely delicious! Flavorful and cooked to perfection. The pulled up with the big meat cooker and nearly store the show! Every guest had great things to say and even stopped for quick photo ops before the sun set. With absolutely nothing negative to write or critique I just want to end by saying I am looking for for the next event on my calendar to make up and "excuse" to use their services and interact with them again.

Doug and Magdalena were great through the whole process. They are incredibly friendly and easy to work with and serve amazing food. Even our Texas guests said that Holy Smokes was the best bbq they had ever had! Thank you so much for helping make our special day so amazing!

It was a pleasure working with Doug and Magdalena. Food was spectacular for my wedding day. From our first meeting up to the wedding day, Doug and Magdalena were courteous, professional, flexible and over all exceptional. I couldn't have ask for anything more. Doug and Magdalena did an amazing job catering our BBQ dinner for our wedding.
