Hoffman Haus was an absolute treasure of a venue. Incredible to work with and so beautiful of a location. Our family had a winter wedding there at Christmas 2025. The venue was a wonderful value. We also stayed on property in several of the cabins including the log cabin they were beautiful and comfortable as well.

We had the most wonderful experience at Hoffman Haus. We rented out all the rooms for our wedding, and it felt like stepping into a storybook. The property has such a romantic, intimate atmosphere with its English cottage style and secret garden charm—it truly set the tone for a beautiful celebration.

The staff went above and beyond to make everything feel seamless and warm. Every detail felt thoughtful, and their kindness made the whole weekend even more special. Having the entire place to ourselves made it feel private and personal, almost like our own little retreat.

I was looking for a wedding venue where we can have the ceremony and the reception at the same location, and Hoffman Haus turned out to be exactly what we were looking for! We have asked Shonda to be our coordinator and she did a phenomenal job at brining my dream come true. She is so professional, creative, great at what she does (definitely experienced and knows the place inside and out!), and was so patient and kind throughout my wedding preparation. Hoffman Haus reception hall is so nicely decorated that I felt as though just adding flowers was enough to make it even more beautiful for the celebration.

I would definitely recommend Hoffman Haus as a wedding venue! All the guests who stayed at Hoffman Haus loved their rooms as well. We plan to come back on our anniversary in the future and are looking forward to it :)

We were drawn to Hoffman Haus as a wedding venue because we loved the idea of having our immediate family and bridal party all stay on site and celebrate with us over a weekend. We toured several venues and knew that Hoffman Haus was for us because of how intimate and magical the setting felt (especially at night with all of the twinkle lights!) and it's close proximity to downtown Fredericksburg. We met with Shonda the first time we were at Hoffman Haus, and she was absolutely amazing in answering all of our questions and continued to do so for the next year and half as we planned our wedding. We stayed on site for several planning trips and I even did my bridal portraits at Hoffman Haus leading up to the wedding. Shonda and her staff were so accommodating every step of the way.

We initially had planned to host just the ceremony and reception at Hoffman Haus, but a few months prior to the wedding our rehearsal dinner space informed us they would no longer be able to host our Friday welcome event due to COVID restrictions. We worked closely with Shonda to create a solution where we were able to host our Friday welcome event at Hoffman Haus outside on the porch, our Saturday ceremony in the garden, followed by our reception outside and in the great hall on Saturday as well. It was absolutely amazing, and we love how everywhere we walked all wedding weekend we saw those that we loved. Not to mention, the breakfast delivered in a picnic basket to your door is so delicious! We cannot wait to come back for future anniversaries and trips to Fredericksburg. Hoffman Haus is so special to us.

My fiance and I were scheduled to get married at Hoffman Haus on April 4, 2020. As I'm sure every woman can relate, this is one of the most important days of our lives, a day that we've looked forward to for a long time.

We were planning a wedding weekend - April 3rd Welcome Dinner catered by Saltlick with the Texas Unlimited Country Band and April 4th Wedding (romantic and ethereal). We reserved the entire property for the weekend – our guests had reserved all of the rooms at Hoffman.

Throughout the wedding planning process, Shonda and her Hoffman Haus team were so helpful - allowing us to visit the venue multiple times to ensure everything was organized perfectly. Shonda graciously offered solutions and ideas when we needed furniture, lighting, draping, chairs, or a tent that fit our specific wedding vision. As a type A personality myself, Shonda patiently answered all of our questions and was there to make sure we had what we needed to have our dream wedding.

When the Federal recommendations and State regulations restricted the size of in-person gatherings due to the COVID-19 epidemic, our April 3-4 wedding at Hoffman Haus was rendered infeasible. Flights were cancelled, gatherings of 10 or more people discouraged via CDC quarantine rules and subsequently banned by state and local laws. An unforeseen disaster for us, our guests, and our vendors. Aaron and I are unable to reschedule at this time as too many things are unknown at the moment - these regulations could remain in effect for a long time. Months and years, not weeks. We're left scrambling to deal with vendors who can no longer perform their services in addition dealing with the heightened anxiety of this pandemic and the emotional loss of having our wedding abruptly and forcibly cancelled beyond our control.

We immediately called HH. As a family owned business, they understood what we were going through and that this unfortunate situation was outside of our control. They released us from our obligation to rent all of the rooms, and converted our deposit into a giftcard for a future visit to their venue. They waived our event fee as well. I tear up just writing this, as their actions were conducted with such honor and benevolence.

Shonda told us - We are a family owned business and that is not how we conduct ourselves here (referring to requiring us to pay the full event fee and unreserved rooms).

Hoffman Haus and all B&B and hotel chains are going to suffer tremendously as a result of COVID-19. How businesses treat customers during this crisis will create a ripple effect for years to come.

Aaron and I will go to Hoffman Haus as soon as we are legally allowed for our future anniversaries and weekend getaways, and we will share this story with everyone we know.

Hoffman Haus is an amazing bed and breakfast run by people who conduct themselves with utmost integrity and honor, even under the most dire of circumstances - please support them.

The Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg is an exquisite, elegant, but yet cozy venue. the staff is beyond accommodating! My daughter's wedding was a weekend event and it couldn't have been more perfect! The beautiful Great Hall is surrounded by gorgeous cabins where our close friends and family stayed. It truly was a fabulous weekend!

Exactly what we wanted in a wedding venue. Our family and wedding party all stayed at the B&B and it was the perfect atmosphere for everyone to get to know each other. We had the ceremony outside and the reception in the main hall - everything was beautiful! We'll be celebrating out anniversaries there for years to come!
