About

Historic Huguenot Street is a 10-acre National Historic Landmark District, featuring seven 18th-century stone houses, a replica Esopus Munsee wigwam, and a peaceful atmosphere. Our charming reconstructed 1717 French Church is the perfect place to create unique memories of your special day. Prefer an outdoor ceremony? Get hitched on the sprawling lawn of the Deyo House, our breathtaking Victorian mansion, surrounded by stately trees and beautiful blossoms at select times of the year. History lovers and those who appreciate unique, picturesque locations will fall in love with Historic Huguenot Street. We'd be delighted to host your special day.

Crispell Memorial French Church

The French Church, located on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, is a reconstruction of the first stone church in New Paltz, originally built in 1717. This reconstructed church was built in 1972 with funds from the Crispell Family. The structure features high-backed wooden pews and a raised pulpit and has a maximum capacity of 65 people. It has a uniquely simple and yet appealing structure, with remarkable acoustic clarity.

Grounds and Lawns

Our attractively landscaped grounds have views of the stone houses, space for tents, and shade from stately trees that have sheltered Huguenot Street for over a century. These picturesque grounds make the perfect setting for wedding receptions and ceremonies.

We purchased our tent in 2014. It measures 30 ft x 30ft and is 900sq ft. Per our rental agreement, tent structures on site are limited to 225 people to follow Village code regulations.

Outside tent rentals are welcome and our staff will work with rental companies on placement.

Lawns with Tents
1. The Village of New Paltz requires that all lawn events conclude by 10pm.
2. Lawn renters hosting a Reception/Party with more than 100 guests MUST provide portable bathrooms and parking personnel.
3. All renters will be asked for a $500 Security Deposit (to be put toward the total cost) and a $500 Lawn Deposit (completely refundable based on the condition of the Lawn after the rental).
4. Overages: Any lawn rental that extends beyond 6 hours will be charged an additional $200/hour.
