As a huge fan of Hello Cupcake, we knew very early on in our planning that we would have use them as our vendor. Penny was very helpful in selecting a variety of flavors and picking the design for our small cutting cake. As always, the cupcakes were beautiful and tasty. The only issue we was that the cupcakes looked so delicious that we had was people started to take them before we had a chance to cut the cake! We would highly recommend Hello Cupcake for upcoming wedding or other events.

My favorite place on earth. The pink champagne cake was amazing. We went with assorted cupcakes for guests and the 6x6 cutting cake for my husband and self. It was perfect. They decorated the cupcakes and with our colors. Love doing business with them!

We were looking for a pretty simple 3 tiered cake that tasted good - no need for crazy designs or shapes. After attending several tastings, we found what we wanted at Hello Cupcake - we went with a 3 tier butter cream party cake in several different flavors. What really set Hello Cupcake apart was the value...other bakers quoted us double what we paid at Hello Cupcake.

We loved working with Hello Cupcakes. Penny was very responsive and flexible. We were able to change our flavors and get our mini-cake decorated just like a photo we'd sent them. Everyone overall had rave reviews for the cupcakes and I can't wait for our first anniversary to eat another slice of our cake (which was vegan and incredible)!!! Cupcakes are the definitely way to go...cute, affordable (half the cost of cake), and let you pick flavors to accomodate different tastes and dietary restrictions. Work with Hello Cupcakes!

I wanted everyone at our wedding to be able to get a cake flavor they would like, and have never thought wedding cake was really that good anyway, so we decided cupcakes were the way to go. Hello Cupcake was always my personal favorite cupcakery in DC--I had an amazing vegan cupcake there that I could not believe was vegan it was so good. But, after eating a lot of cupcakes, it came down to a close race between Hello Cupcake and another DC cupcakery (Georgetown), largely over one flavor that we fell in love with at Georgetown (key lime). However, overall, the cupcakes at Hello Cupcake, and Penny (her responsiveness, professionalism, and customer service) easily won out--Hello Cupcake will provide you a free tasting, delivery service (even to morning events, and it's very inexpensive), and has a wider range of cupcake flavors available each day, which meant we were able to get enough of the flavors we liked. Penny also was flexible with allowing us to include one flavor that wasn't normally produced on that day. The cupcakes were delicious and everyone loved them!

Cupcakes were amazing! We got a free tasting and the bakers listened to what we wanted. The cupcakes were delivered on time to our reception, and we got so many compliments on them!

Hello Cupcake in Dupont Circle has only been open since August of 2008. I chose to have cupcakes served at my wedding instead of the traditional wedding cake. My guests were able to select from 8 different flavors, from Peanut Butter Blossom to Baileys Irish Dream, the cupcakes were a hit! The guests practically stampeded the cupcake table after we fed each other our own specially designed and monogrammed cupcakes by Penny. Thansk for everything Penny!

Overall, we were very pleased with Hello Cupcake as a wedding vendor. The only reason a couple of the categories are lower is due to a little bit of a slow response time in the beginning, and our original order being lost.

However, that being said, when it mattered most, Hello Cupcake really came through and provided beautiful and delicious cupcakes for our reception. The cupcakes were delivered on time the day of the wedding, and were exactly what we wanted. Countless guests commented on how much they enjoyed the cupcakes and my husband has already said that the two we have frozen for our first anniversary will never make it that long in our freezer (he's got quite a sweet tooth!).

We did cupcakes for our wedding -- four different kinds from Hello Cupcake. They were awesome, just as they are in the shop. Our guests absolutely loved them! The only downside is that you can only order the flavors they will be serving on the day of your wedding. But, they have enough variety that we were able to pick four we were happy with. Yum!!

We LOVED our cupcakes. Loved. For some strange reason my husband felt really strongly about the cupcakes so we did a lot of taste testing at cupcake shops and bakeries in the area (one of the best parts of wedding planning) and Hello Cupcake was far and away the best of the bunch. (This could be a personal taste thing though so I wouldn't rule others out.). Their prices were in line with others in the area, but what was huge was that the delivery fee was only $10. $10! Penny, the owner, was very nice throughout the planning, and even decorated the cupcakes with flowers in our wedding color blue. Of course we had to check on our cupcakes by popping in to the shop every now and them to taste them and they were consistently delicious and our guests raved about them on the day. Not a single cupcake left at the end of the night and we had ordered 2 per guest thinking that would be more than enough. I'm just really sad that other than our photo op bite, I didn't get to eat a single one on the day.
