Surrounded by the rolling farmland of Northern Illinois, Happily Ever After Wedding Barn is a convenient drive from Freeport or Rockford, located just south of US20 near historic Pecatonica, Illinois.
This rustic and beautiful 120-year old, solar-powered barn is the perfect venue for anyone who wants everlasting memories on their special day. In addition to the Barn, several outdoor locations on the property make a stunning backdrop for your ceremony and photography.
Included for Your Event:
Air-conditioned Bridal Dressing Room in lower Barn
Capacity for up to 200 occupants on main level
Six round bar-height tables
Twenty 5-foot round tables (seat 8)
Ten 6-foot & Eight 8-foot long tables
White wooden folding chairs (approximately 300)
Arches, barrels, and other decor items
Refrigerator & freezer
Large exhaust fans in Barn
Three outdoor patio heaters where needed
Grassy parking area with Parking Assistants
Two "commode chairs" (both wheelchair accessible) & a wash stand inside the lower Barn
Firepit & firewood
Open, flat greenspace next to barn can be used for tents, tables, or ceremony
Garbage removal during event and disposal after clean up
Supervised pets of the Bridal Party are welcome with advance notice. Owner pets on premises.
Catering, bar/beverage service, entertainment or sound systems, linens & decorations are not included.
Due to its historic nature, no flame candles or smoking are allowed anywhere inside the Barn.
Pricing:
The Barn is available for decorating and set-up on Friday before your event (or earlier by arrangement). You have use of the building and grounds on Saturday from 8am to Midnight. We ask that all clean up is completed by Noon on Sunday.
Events are $3,500.00 on Saturdays only. We require a $1,750.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The balance is due one week before the day of the event. We will provide clean up of the venue on Sunday (removing and boxing food, decorations, linens, etc.) for an additional $500.00.

Absolutely Perfect
Set on a gorgeous property, the fields go on as far as the eye can see. Perfect for photos!
The owners are incredibly helpful and kind. They are very organized (parking, site maintenance, etc) and were present for the rehearsal as well as the event. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly, from having extra attendants in the parking area to ensure that no one was blocked in and knew exactly where to go, to having to deal with a disgruntled vendor. They had various items on the property which they made available to us such as cute signage, plenty of available umbrellas in case of rain, arches, and props for decorations were a lifesaver. They also allowed us to hang our items, and weren't picky about nails or staples. It made decorating alot less stressful.
The ramp up to the barn/event space made it easy for everyone to access the space, and since it is set on a hill, it gave amazing views of the surrounding land.
One of the better wedding spaces I have been to. Would highly recommend!
