I'm so grateful I had Wallace doing my hair the day of my wedding! He and his assistant Jackie were so efficient and even finished doing all of the hair for my bridesmaids and mother early! He is extremely calming and really helps you remember that the day is about YOU and how you feel! I loved my hair and it held just as expected for the entire night, even through photos, dinner, and dancing the night away!! Thank you so much, Wallace and Jackie!!

We had our wedding at the New York Botanical Gardens on May 20, 2017 and Wallace was my hair stylist. Wallace and his assistant made me, my bridesmaids, my mom and my sister-in-law look and feel absolutely beautiful. The process had really begun months earlier when Wallace and I first began planning my hair. I sent him several photos and he understood what I envisioned and worked with me through two hair trials to perfect the look. For each trial and on the day of the wedding, he was punctual, organized and very knowledgeable about the products that would work for my hair and my bridesmaids hair. On the day of the wedding, he helped each bridesmaid choose a look that complimented their face shape and would not be overly time consuming so that we could stay on time for photos. Wallace understands all hair types--African American, Asian, Hispanic, Caucasian--we had it all in my wedding party and he transitioned seamlessly from one hair type to the next. He stayed with us all day for photos and touched us up before the ceremony, though our hair did not need much work because it stayed in place all day. I highly recommend Wallace for your wedding day. He is an amazing hair artist but also a really fun guy to hang out with on your wedding day and made us laugh a lot. I miss him!

I was recommended to Wallace for my wedding day by my colorist, being that my hairstylist was way above my budget and unavailable for my wedding—I was apprehensive. I had a few wedding hair trials that were underwhelming, disappointing and expensive. Having heard rave reviews from my colorist and my hairstylist and reviewing Wallace’s instagram—-I contacted him for availability, and pricing.

After only 10 minutes of sending out my e-mail, Wallace promptly responded, to my surprise. We exchanged a few e-mails and he suggested for me to provide him with details of my dress, venue and mood that I envisioned for my wedding. Promptly, thereafter I arranged a hair trial with him at my apartment.  

Not only was he patient, with no rush—he was knowledgeable on styles that would not only feature my dress, but accent my face shape and comfortability. I was so dead-set on wearing my hair up for my wedding, but Wallace convinced me to wear my hair half-up, half-down, after seeing that I just hate my hair up…the absolute BEST DECISION of my life! He was right!

Wallace was able to consult and take his time to make me see that the perfect compromise would be to wear my hair half-up, half-down. His consultation prices were reasonable (better than the exorbitant amounts I paid to feel unhappy and rushed AND in the comfort of my own house to boot!) and most importantly, I felt like myself on my wedding photos and as I walked down the aisle. My own MOTHER loved, loved, loved my hair! It stayed all night, and I took out the pins out of my hair and wore it that way for the next 3 days after…

I’ve recommended all of my girlfriend’s who face wedding day hair fears to him and they have been equally content. I even call on him for other special events. I mean, I love my regular stylist, but I think Wallace is exceptional, his talent, his attention to detail is unparalleled to all of those fancy, schmancy Madison Avenue salons charging $300 for a braid.

I can't rave enough.

Wallace was very easy to work with. Amazing email communication--fast responses with clear and detailed information. He really goes out of his way to cater to your needs, from the trial to the day of. His pricing is very fair, he was always on time, well-prepared, and very professional. He handled a few different hairstyles in my party with ease, listened to what everyone wanted, and accommodated accordingly. He was even very patient with my difficult mother who was having some hair drama (her own fault)! When I was desperate for a makeup artist after my first trial went horribly wrong, he recommended the perfect person. One note is that he did not blow out anyone's hair (used curling irons), so if that is the look you're going for, make sure to ask or request it!

This guy is unprofessional and goes radio silent after deposit made and doesn't communicate. Claims he has a lot going on in his personal life which isn’t my problem. Do not use for anything important like a wedding or bridal shower. Very unreliable! Won’t refund my deposit and gave him ample opportunities. Beware!!
