Mandie was so awesome and fun to work with. She makes the most delicious and moist cake with the funnest flavors! We were able to pick some unique flavors for our wedding cake, which we and our guests absolutely loved. I also loved her enthusiasm when we were discussing our ideas for the potential design of the cake - she definitely took some inspirations and ran with it, and our cake turned out not only yummy but so pretty to look at! Would definitely recommend Got What It Cakes!

We loved our cake and all of our guests did too! It looked exactly how we wanted it to and tasted even better. The staff was easy to get in touch with and actually listened to what we wanted! I would highly recommend them.

Got What It Cakes was the perfect vendor to use for our wedding cake. From our first tasting with Mandie, her exuberance, enthusiasm, humor, and portfolio of work made my husband and I comfortable and confident that she would execute our vision and provide our guests with two delicious flavors of cake. Walking into the reception room and seeing our wedding cake for the first time was a moment I will never forget.

Our wedding cake was AMAZING! Not only was it beautiful, but it was seriously the best cake we had ever had. Mandie was so much fun to work with. I didn't know much about wedding cake design, and Mandie brought so many great ideas. Instead of one large cake, we ended up with three smaller cakes; two were two-tiered and one was three-tiered. They all had edible wafer paper flowers which were beautiful. Our flavors were strawberry cake with strawberry filling (the filling is made out of homemade strawberry jam from local strawberries; the cake is also made out of local strawberries so it looks purple and is not a fake pink color), chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling. And our cake was covered in buttercream! Mandie insists on using buttercream for her wedding cakes and she certainly can get it as smooth as fondant. All flavors tasted incredible! My husband and I are huge dessert fans so the cake was one of the parts of our wedding that we were looking forward to the most.

We originally decided to freeze one of the tiers for our one year anniversary but then decided we didn't want to waste perfectly delicious cake by risking freezer burn after one year so a month after the wedding we decided to thaw it and eat it. And it is STILL delicious!

I would recommend Mandie to all brides. She is great to work with and makes fabulous cakes!

I just need to start by saying- I LOVE Mandie! She is so hilarious, talented, and amazing to work with. She was by far one of my favorite vendors to work with throughout our wedding planning process!

This is probably too much information but I think it's important to other brides out there and says a lot about Mandie's professionalism and responsiveness! I had a difficult time with cake vendors when I first started searching. I don't live in Charlotte so every time I set up a meeting I was traveling into town for that meeting and taking time off of work to meet during the week. One time a different baker forgot we had an appointment and another was not responsive at all to my emails or calls and ended up trying to move our tasting an hour before the planned meeting when we were in town specifically for them with a day full of vendor meetings planned. I was over the top excited when Mandie answered my email right away and agreed to have a tasting for us last minute while we were in town and it just happened to be a holiday. She went out of her way to accommodate us and I was SO thankful we found her!

It's a few weeks after the wedding and I am STILL craving her delicious cake! I am glad I don't live near her new shop because I would have a hard time not going every day to have a slice (or a few) of cake! You can really tell her ingredients are high quality and fresh. Mandie was awesome- she listened to all of the details of our wedding day and suggested design options for our cake. We wanted something unique and the design turned out just as she described! The cake was delicious and beautiful- we were so happy with the finished product and I could go on forever about how much we love Mandie and Got What It Cakes!

No other word but AWESOME! Mandy is the BEST, professional, accomodating and the cakes are SO DELICIOUS! Im married for life but wish I could get married again to get another cake! It was so good we ate our top layer when we came back from our honeymoon. Hopefully she'll make us another cake or some cupcakes for our anniversary next year. :-)

My cake was beautiful AND it tasted good! How often does that happen??? Mandie was a pleasure to work with. I met her at a wedding show and her personality was fantastic... then at our consultation, he personality was even more fantastic. She made helpful suggestions and duplicated the cake we wanted PERFECTLY. Did I mention that our cake was delicious? Follow her page on Facebook and you will see just how talented she is.
