My husband and I met Molly of Goldensun Photography at a tasting event held by our wedding venue. Every time I look back on our photos, I am so grateful that we decided to go to this event and we were able to meet Molly and see how lovely her work is. With the complications that COVID posed for our original wedding plans in January 2021, Molly was so flexible with working for us and found a way to find to capture our microwedding and our larger wedding+reception in August 2021.

I want to stress how professional and organized Molly is. She provides easy to fill out forms and clear lists of the shots that you want to have taken. Additionally, she is always up for adventure, so when my husband and I proposed a rainy day beach photoshoot after our microwedding, she was excited to capture these moments with just us. She also makes it so easy to be in front of the camera, especially for folks who really do not enjoy having their pictures taken.

Additionally, Molly always provides wonderful suggestions for other vendors. I found the vendors for videography and also the signage+paper goods through Molly's sage suggestions.

Molly was wonderful for both our engagement and wedding shoots. We chose her after seeing the level of intimacy she is able to capture in her photography in any and all settings and we were not disappointed. The quality of her work can be seen in her galleries, but there is so much more that enhanced our experience that will not be obvious. First, she assisted us in finding the perfect locations for our engagement shoot that fit the background and environment we wanted. Second, she was flexible and accommodating to our unavoidable family emergencies. Lastly, she understood our needs when COVID forced us to change our wedding plans, including date, location, and the amount of guests, as most of both our families are from outside the country and could no longer join us. Overall, we have found an amazing photographer in Molly and can't wait to work with her again.

As i'm sure most couples are, the first thought that came to my mind was wow i'm going to be so awkward in front of the camera. Not with Molly! She instantly made us feel so comfortable when shooting our engagement pics and we had so much fun! She told us exactly how to pose and what to say to make us laugh and seem natural. When it was drizzling on our shoot day, Molly did not hesitate to help us find a different date that would work better. She was always so prompt at responding to e-mails and helped us pick the perfect location for our photos! We couldn't recommend Molly enough and we can't wait to work with her again!!!

I had a surprise proposal planned in Catalina and I contacted Molly about photographing it. She was incredibly helpful in the planning process and she even waited around for several hours for us to arrive at the proposal spot to make sure everything went smoothly.

She edited us a sneak peak with a ton of photos that same night so we could share them with family and friends, and the photos looked amazing. I couldn't have been happier with the process. 10/10 recommend!!

I was so lucky to win an engagement shoot giveaway that Goldensun Photography was hosting on Instagram! Molly was super flexible with me as I schedule the shoot for a long ways after I had won the giveaway, and I was particular about the look I wanted. I personally didn’t expect to receive such GREAT SERVICE and such AMAZING photos as it was just a giveaway, but Molly went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us and I’m so grateful! She was super professional and organized as she created a timeline for us. She was kind enough to coordinate our first look for us as we were getting married in a backyard due to the pandemic and wouldn’t have a nice backdrop on the day of our wedding. I had sprained my ankle two weeks before the shoot and Molly was very considerate in how she posed us to make sure I was comfortable. She made my fiancé and I feel like models!! Molly was so encouraging and easy to work with that we didn’t feel uncomfortable at all in front of the camera. Not to mention the pictures came out so BREATHTAKINGLY PERFECT. Molly was so creative with how she used the simple space!! I will forever cherish these photos and can’t thank her enough.. I would 110% recommend hiring Goldensun Photography for any occasion!

My wife and I did a lot of research on photographers in the OC area and interviewed at least five and we couldn't have been happier with the service that Molly and Abel provided to us on before, during, and after our wedding day. They made a point to cater to our preferred style for our wedding photos and they came out beautiful. We were lucky enough to have them for both our engagement and wedding photos. Molly and Abel were really just so kind, lovely and professional. - the only thing I regret is not having them around for longer.

We planned our whole wedding in just a few months, but Molly was always so timely and efficient in communication. She stopped by my home and our venue in advance, and throughout both ceremonies and reception, Molly and Abel were so patient and kind to us and our guests. I normally dislike having photos taken, but they were both discreet and naturally made me feel comfortable having a camera around me for six hours.


If you like a more natural, journalistic style of photography that captures moments as opposed to posing, then they are just truly spectacular and will deliver and reproduce so many great moments for you. They captured so many wonderful and natural moments of joy and fun between our guests throughout the day that my husband and I otherwise would have not seen. Molly and Abel were the perfect photographers for us, and I'm so glad we found them. We received our photos a few days ago and the work they produced is wonderfully simple and heartwarming - not at all edited or posed to the extreme - journaling life's simple joys and shared laughter even in greatly eventful moments like this.

Able & Molly were nothing but amazing. My wedding photos look stunning and their service was outstanding! They were both patient as I was running late to my wedding but used that time to take other photos. There were not at all in the way at the ceremony. My guests keep raving to me about how discrete they were when taking photos, yet they caught every special moment. They both have a wonderful gift that makes an ordinary scene look extraordinary! Also, they are such kind, sweet people who love to have fun and show that in their work. I do not regret hiring them and will continue to recommend them.

Also, I have used Goldensun Photography's service for my engagement photos. Once again, they make boring scenes beautiful. My family and I are still blown away with how stunning those photos came out.

Our engagement session with them was so fun!

I had first reached out to Molly when I found Goldensun via Instagram months before my then-fiance and I even considered what we were going to do for our traditional Chinese tea ceremony and Thai wedding ceremony.

Molly was very patient with me as we met for coffee one evening and I went through a VERY rough idea of what I was looking for and some of the details we wanted to highlight. As my fiance and I were then planning our reception and other wedding events, I had to prioritize those events and ended up not speaking with Molly again until we were three to four months out from our actual dates for the ceremonies. Luckily, she and Abel were still available and after flushing out the remainder of our ideas out and timeline via email, we were all set and ready for both days.

Molly and Abel are incredibly patient, talented, and wonderful to work with. They're kind and quiet, but are able to create beautiful memories even with so much noise and activity going on. You won't be disappointed!
