I decided early on that I wanted Gobble Cakes to make my cupcakes because of how much I loved their cupcakes. I went in for a tasting last year in February for specialty flavors and I picked three flavors. Earlier this year I got an email from the pastry chef that she was leaving the store, and got me in touch with the new chef for a better transition. I went in to meet with her to pick some more flavors for our fall themed wedding and she seemed more than eager to get everything taken care of. I wanted a specific style of topping so that they all matched, as well as specific holders to match the theme of the wedding. Also, I rented the cupcake stand and knew it needed to be returned by that weekend, which was no problem because the shop was on my way to the airport the next day. While the holders and design of the icing were spot on, the major components were off. I was surprised to see that there was not enough icing to cover the cupcakes, some of the cupcakes were not made the way that I had originally tasted, while they all looked a lot smaller than what I was told they would be. On top of that, someone at my venue took our cupcake stand without asking, where I would have to pay to replace the one they took--which I had no issues with. I called the shop and wanted to let the shop know what was going on, but she was out of town. So I let her assistant know what the deal was and to have her call me when she came back into town. I received an email the following Wednesday , wanting to know where it was because she needed it for a wedding a few days later. I immediately called her to let her know what had transpired with the stand and to please charge me for another one--constantly apologizing. She was very short with me and came off having an attitude, which I didn't appreciate. I didn't even get to tell her that I was disappointed in the product. I will not be using this bakery for any other celebrations, nor be recommending them.
