From our online planner and music library, to our one on one consultations, to working behind the scenes at your reception, we make the process simple and convenient for you and ensure the event will go as smoothly as possible.
As DJs, we wear many hats. We are more than just the music. We are the MC who will make all the introductions and announcements throughout the night. We are also "Event Directors" who will guide the flow of your reception from start to finish(not to be confused with a Wedding co-ordinator.) On top of all this, we are sound engineers and lighting technitions. All these skills are necessary for a flawless reception built to your specifications.
We work hard to NOT to fit into the "Cheesy Wedding DJ" stereotype. Sound Of The Times is not your average DJ Company. We don't try to sell you our equipment. What we will do is sit down with you in one of our one on one consultations and ask you a number of questions about your dream reception and get to know a little about you. Once we have an idea of what you are truly looking for, we can create a custom tailored package based on your needs and budget.
The newest addition to our repertoire are our state of the art photo booths. You guests will have a blast posing for our camera with an assortment of fun props and get a great souvenir to take home. Ask about our memory books where we encourage each group that goes through the booth to leave a note next to their photo strip. It makes for a great keepsake.
This is the hottest trend in special events today. Up-lighting can completely transform your venue with strategically placed LED Par Cans around the room accenting various architectural features. The look can be dramatic when done right and will truly give your reception that WOW factor that you are looking for. Consider matching the lighting with your wedding colors.
Name In Lights
With our special GOBO Projector, we can project your Monogram or Names on the dance floor or above the head table. This option makes for amazing photos and will have your guests talking about it all night long.
Dancing under the stars
With a special laser projector, we can create a galaxy of stars on the ceiling of your venue combined with a nebula projection. This creates the feel of being beneath the night sky and adds a elegant ambiance to the dance floor during the first dance.

Gene listened to what I wanted, came with extra props for the photobooth, the quality was exceptional, and he was the least expensive vendor (by around $300) that we found, and he made the party a lot of fun! I would recommend GN Events to anyone getting married. We used them for their photobooth and they were so great! We had a scrap book for our copy of the pictures and they provided props. The memories in that book are priceless. Plus we received a digital copy of all the photos taken! They were so easy to work with. As the bride to not have to think about how that was running was amazing. Again - I would absolutely recommend GN Events and definitely recommend renting a photobooth.
