Genna Ellis is a Sacramento, California-based professional makeup artist who has been immersed in the wedding beauty industry for well over a decade. She began her journey at the world-renowned makeup school Make Up Designory in Soho, New York. There, she perfected her craft and fell in love with bridal makeup. Right after graduating makeup school, she took a job in the cosmetics section of the Victoria's Secret flagship store on 34th Street and began building a thriving clientele in the Big Apple, beautifying clients for weddings, photoshoots, and other events all over New York City.

A few years later, Genna made the move to her dream state of California and chose to specialize in the wedding industry. She fell madly in love with traveling all along the coast, experiencing an array of spectacular venues from Lake Tahoe to Napa to lush San Diego.

She became known for her gentle touch and ability to flawlessly bring her bride's visions to life - whether they opt for something soft and romantic or striking and glamorous.

During the years of the pandemic, Genna took a step back to grow an online crystal shop (you can find Pretty Crystals on Instagram, @prettycrystals) and knock a year-long Eurotrip off her bucket list. Genna is back on the West Coast and ready to connect with her tribe of beautiful 2024 and 2025 brides.

In her makeup kit, Genna exclusively uses high-quality luxury products tailored for photography and the longevity of a wedding day. With favorites such as Charlotte Tilbury and Hourglass Cosmetics, she is committed to cruelty-free brands and strives to incorporate eco-friendly tools and sustainable practices.
