OMG, this venue was PERFECT! Crystal runs this show and she definitely delivers! The food was amazing, the decor/atomosphere is unlike any other (especially at night), her staff was fabulous, everything was like a Fairytale dream! I couldn't have dreamt it up any better! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

First off, Gather is absolutely gorgeous. It has a modern, rustic feel with beautiful chandeliers and exposed brick walls. We used Gather as both our wedding and reception venue. With just 50 guests, it was the perfect size (although it could accommodate twice that)! The wedding was held in front of the candle wall with the back half of the hall set up with rows of chairs. After the wedding, everyone moved to the alcove on the other side for a cocktail hour while we took pictures. During this time, the staff at Gather also cleared all of the seating from the ceremony and set up tables and a dance floor. After pictures, it was time for dinner. The food was delicious, and fast! We never felt rushed, but we also never had to wait on the next event. After dinner, dancing commenced. The small size of Gather made it feel very intimate even with only 50 guests. The warm, inviting atmosphere helped everyone get out of their seats and join us on the dance floor (the beer and wine may have helped as well). The entire evening was perfect.
The other big reason we loved Gather was because of Crystal. Crystal is the owner of Gather as well as one of the event planners. Although we asked her a ton of questions, she never got tired of them and was always happy to help. Where Crystal truly shined was on the day of the wedding. From the start, she was there helping to keep everything on track and supervising our setup. She was the perfect combination of flexible and helpful. Whenever we needed anything, she was there. Gather does offer a day-of wedding planner, which we did not opt to use. However, with Crystal we felt that we didn’t need anything else (this was an unplanned but awesome surprise). I’m not sure what else a day-of planner could have done! Crystal had it all taken care of.
One final thought, Gather is BYOB. We saved a ton of money getting all of our alcohol at Costco.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! I truly cannot say enough about Gather in Downtown McKinney. It was THEE perfect venue for our reception and I am SO happy we stumbled upon it one fateful day while in downtown. The minute I peered in the front windows, my heart was hooked. We are out of state, we actually live in California and weren't planning on having an out of state wedding...until we saw this place. In fact, I had meetings w/venues here in CA that I had to cancel because I knew Gather was the place. We have family in TX and all over the states so people had to travel, why not Dallas! We planned our wedding in about 5 months time so it was fast and furious but Crystal was amazing throughout the entire journey. Planning from 1500 mi away has its challenges and Crystal made it so smooth. She was available when I had questions, concerns etc. I flew in one weekend and she was available to make all plans. She even stayed in touch with a few of my other vendors. She is awesome and a joy to work with! Now, the venue itself, oh my gosh, I don't even know where to begin except, it was perfection and everything I had hoped for. SO me! Even my guests were totally WOWED by the place. I cannot tell you how many people approached me and commented and said it was amazing, so beautiful, so eclectic and classy. I could go on and on. From the brick wall to the chandeliers to the tin ceiling and beyond...this place it the bee's knees! GO and check it out. You will be so happy. The value, food and ambiance is well worth it and your wedding will be memorable.
