The food was amazing, the decor/atomosphere is unlike any other (especially at night), her staff was fabulous, everything was like a Fairytale dream! I couldn't have dreamt it up any better! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! -
Sara Sent on 08/28/2018I cannot give Gather enough stars! This venue was perfect for my wedding day. From Jennifer, to CN Catering, to the staff. It was THE PERFECT day!
Jennifer is a professional, kind, servant-hearted host, and she is ALWAYS on her game. From crazy requests, to silly questions, this woman NEVER made us feel anything less than a King and Queen on our day. Her kindness and professionalism will make you want to do this all over again!
CN Catering was the BEST. I wish I could have their food every day. Our macaroni bites, our roast beef, our Chicken Nostra, the mashed potatoes, ALL perfect. We had so many people tell us they wanted to go back for seconds because it was THAT good!
The staff was friendly, efficient, and quick. They turned over the ceremony space into the dance floor, quickly, and you almost didn't even know it was happening! They served professionally, and were a fabulous addition to the day.
The details at Gather, just brought the entire day together. Everything from the wood floors, to the chandeliers, to the tin ceiling. Every detail was maintained and perfect.
I wish I could give Gather more stars, and I wish I could tell every bride to stop what they're doing and check this place out. -

Kerri Sent on 07/02/2018I actually got married on New Years Eve this past year and have been meaning to write a review for this AMAZING venue! I’ve never been one to go out of my way to write a review but this venue deserves way more than word of mouth! When you get married, I can’t stess enough how important the venue is! And not only location and the difference the “backdrop” in pictures and videos, but the overall experience! I was actually in a wedding a few months after my own, and the difference in stress and flow was unbelievable. Obviously we had a great waitstaff and bartenders and all but I have to brag on our coordinator! SHE is what made our day sooo fun, easy, and I can’t say it enough STRESSFREE! Which surprisingly is rare to say in the wedding world! My mother in law, who basically put our wedding together in a month in a half, could not get over how awesome our coordinator was as well, and took the stress off her! We are so grateful to have found this venue and thankfully had an opening on New Years! Definitely a night to remember, so thankful for everyone involved!
I included some pics of our night so you can see how beautifully everything photographed even at night. And one last thing that I’ll cherish forever and that was my favorite part of the whole night. At the end of the night, my husband and I got “one last dance” the end the night. Everyone was lining up of our exit and we got “our moment” together just us two, and it was magical. Love that tradition at The Gather!

Faith Sent on 06/28/2018Gather is the most charming, beautiful, intimate venue you'll find in downtown McKinney! The owner is the absolute sweetest and easiest person to work with; very responsive and intentional. She makes sure you are well taken care of, not just the day of your wedding, but throughout the process! When we had a little bump on the road, she went above and beyond to handle everything to make it all go smoothly and effortlessly. She made miracles happen, I'm telling you and we are so appreciative of all the encouragement and help she gave us! Our wedding was so beautiful and she made that possible! I couldn't have asked for a better place to get married and I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator/owner to work alongside me to make our day so successful and so special!

Maeghan Sent on 09/19/2011Gather is THE reason I had my dream wedding! Kristen is such a sweetheart and really great to work with! Everything was taken care of and beautiful! The food was so yummy and everyone is still talking about how impressive this place is! It is small so if you are having a large wedding and cant fit in this spot use them for your rehearsal for bridal showers! I loved it so much I actually cut back my guest list to make it work. Go have lunch or tea and check this place out! I dont event think I can put into words how much I love Gather! -

LOVED hosting my Basic B! book launch at The Gather in Downtown McKinney, I couldn't of picked a more perfect place! Jennifer and the entire staff went out of their way for every guest and made it so easy for me to fly in and host a effortless beautiful event! The decor was beautiful and the ambiance of the sweet downtown elegant home town feel with even the Christmas lights still up was priceless! HIGHLY recommend! -

Jennifer, the owner/wedding coordinator is the BEST! First of all, she has a great personallity, very professsional, always head of the game! (Which I loved!) She made planning simple, seamless, and stress-free! My wedding day was calm and relaxing and Jennifer made everything happen just as planned! I can't thank her enough for her venue, her staff and her personal wedding coordinator services in making our day very special!!! I highly recommend the Gather! We got so many compliments on the venue and the Food! Great appetizers and Food! Thank you Gather!!!

The unique space of Gather, combined with the excellent service, made our wedding and reception fun, stress-free, and memorable.
Our wedding had around 65 people, but the space can easily be arranged to support 100+ guests comfortably. On a nice day, there are several unique locations nearby for pictures. On a not-so-nice day, like ours, there are some great locations in the venue itself, so you wont miss out on having a cool backdrop. Acoustics were important to us, and the intimate space allows you to be heard during the ceremony without microphones. The location of the venue just can't be beat. With a shiny new parking garage right down the street, parking isn't a problem. There's also the added benefit of being within walking distance of the main square, so if you feel like going out after, there are lots of options.
If you plan on hiring a day of coordinator - hire Jennifer, the venue's owner. She has tons of experience, is always upbeat and positive, organized, patient, and all around awesome. We seriously can't say enough great things about her. Between being attentive to the bridal party in the bridal suite, and keeping us fed and watered throughout the night, we didn't have much to worry about and could focus on being present. She'll give you as little or as much help as you need ironing out the finer details of the wedding, and ensure you end up happy.
For food, Gather has an exclusive caterer, CN Catering. They have a decent number of different options to choose from. Appetizers in particular were great, and we'll give a special shout out to the Honey Walnut Shrimp for being delicious. Instead of cake, we went with the bite-sized desserts, which was a great choice.
The staff was especially fantastic. They were responsive and professional, and made us feel like VIPs the whole day.
All in all, our wedding at Gather was really incredible and we were so glad we decided to celebrate there. -

From the beginning Jennifer at Gather was incredible, she allowed us to tour without an appointment, she sat us down and worked within our budget to get the appetizers and entrees we desired, her venue is stunning on its own which is an incredible relief that there is no desperate need to add extras. I think the best part (aside from the food which everyone raves about today still) was her clear direction at the rehearsal and the day of, there are so many moving parts the day before your wedding and the day of, we hired her as our coordinator and she always helped my husband and I to check off our list in a timely manner. Then on the rehearsal and the wedding day she was clear and direct with everything and it went so smoothly I was surprised at how on time we were, and that a lot of that weight was taken off me and put on to her and she worked it like the professional she truly is. I am so incredibly happy this was the venue I chose, it was in every way what I wanted for my wedding!
