Galo Mario Gutiérrez was born in Panama Republic of Panama, on August 18, 1966. His Father, Mario Ismael Gutiérrez, a well renowned Operatic Tenor and his mother Marilyn Daisy Arosemena, an educator and also a very talented woman, besides giving Galo an excellent education and values, supported him to fulfill his musical dreams. Six brothers and 2 sisters, Mario, Eric, Raisa, Franz, Jorge, Hugo, Daisy and Angel. Most musicians and very inclined to arts.

Everything started when his mother gave him a guitar on his 9th birthday. Since that day he hasn't stop playing his guitar. Hugo, Franz and Eric, his mentors, help him to have a very good start, and besides teaching beautiful chords and technique, made him understand that music is fun and also food for the soul, and that he could transmit it to others. His very first gig was in front of his family learning how not to be afraid of crowds. Family can be very understanding with a music beginner... At the age of ten he joins a church choir, and a very few months after that, he ended up directing the same choir and doing it for 13 years.

One day when practicing and studying music with his father, his brother Franz surprised him with a very nice gift, a flute, and immediately he started practicing his new instrument. He had the opportunity of studying the flute at the National Conservatory of Panama and the guitar with one of the best classical guitarist in the country, Francisco Velásquez at his private academy.

Galo played with some of the best musicians in Panama, and created his own band called, Clavija Latin Jazz, until he got married with who is still his lovely wife, Gladys Mariel Gutiérrez, decided to start a new life in the United States of America. At first looking for a computer related job, was a little frustrating because the lack of reference, until someone gave him the opportunity of playing his guitar at a local restaurant in the beautiful San Antonio, Texas. Since then, one by one, many doors have been opening for the musician from Panama.

Now after 24 years of hard work in the music business, he has become a well renowned musician, especially in the San Antonio area.
