From our first visit, we felt that Foxfire was the perfect venue for our wedding, and it exceeded even our high expectations. We loved the idea of a two-night, one-location event with our wedding party, close family and friends all staying on-site with us.

The venue itself is gorgeous, an idyllic Hudson Valley retreat with beautiful grounds, well-appointed rooms and fantastic food. Beyond the beauty of the main building, we made ample use of the many charming spaces in and around the property including the Glass House as a venue for late night ghost stories, the pond for scenic wedding photos and the veranda for a karaoke afterparty.

Each member of the staff was warm and enthusiastic about providing us and our guests with everything we needed. That attention to detail and impeccable customer service started months earlier with the planning team of Bridget, Chris and Tara, who were a dream to work with. They had everything scheduled for us and worked directly with each of our vendors so we didn’t have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. So many of our guests have told us our wedding was one of the best they’d ever attended, and we know a large part of that is thanks to the magic of Foxfire. Even though our event was a little over a month ago, we can’t wait to go back for a weekend getaway.

Foxfire Mountain House was an unforgettable setting for our intimate Catskills wedding!

From the start, the team at Foxfire felt like old friends, seamlessly guiding us through the planning process with warmth and expertise. Chris and Bridget from the events team were the absolute best to work with; their responsiveness and attention to detail alleviated any and all stress. I work in the events business myself, so trust me when I tell you this is a dream team!

The venue itself is truly the epitome of Catskills charm, with picturesque landscapes and cozy interiors — there’s a rustic elegance that sets the stage for an unforgettable celebration. The inn is so beautifully decorated, there's no need to bring in tons of decor, and it feels like an estate family home that is yours for the day!

Crafting a custom menu for our entire weekend was a highlight, with our guests raving about the amazing food! We were so thrilled with being able to pick out food that was special and meaningful to us, and it felt super personal to be able to tell a bit of our love story through the food we shared with our family and friends.

What truly sets Foxfire apart is their unparalleled hospitality, extended to every aspect of our stay, from personalized welcome cards for our guests staying on property, to thoughtful touches like fresh flowers throughout the venue. We were able to totally enjoy the weekend, and really be present on the wedding day, knowing that all the details, big and small, were taken care of. Their recommended vendors were all pros and added so much joy as well!

If you are the kind of couple who love the idea of choosing a personal album and leaving a vinyl record at the venue, this is the place for you. That is the vibe in a nutshell: there are personal touches that you just don’t get elsewhere – including other Catskills venues. The team even set up late-night karaoke for us, complete with delicious late-night snacks.

The opportunity to spend quality time with our loved ones in such a breathtaking setting is something we will always treasure, and we are endlessly grateful to the entire Foxfire team for making our special day truly unforgettable.

Foxfire Mountain House is, simply put, THEE most magical and enchanted property to not only host a day as monumental as your wedding but to experience in ANY capacity. The ambiance (thanks to Tim and Eliza!), the food (special thanks to Chef Nazie and the kitchen staff!), the cocktails (special thanks to Bryan!), the property (shoutout mother nature!), and most important of all- the team and their exceptional service. There’s not one thing that’s not absolutely amazing about this place!!!

My husband and I fell in love with Foxfire the second we stepped foot on the property and then kept falling even deeper the more we became involved in next steps.

As you can imagine, planning a wedding from outside of the state can be a bit stressful, but Foxfire made the entire process a beyond pleasant experience. From our initial meeting with Chris and tour of the campus, to our first stay, our tasting, the actual weekend of, and all communication in between along the way- the talent, the professionalism, the detail, the passion, the consideration, and the LOVE the team poured into the preparation and celebration of our day will be something my husband and I will never forget.

The Foxfire team goes above and beyond to treat their guests truly as family, whether you are visiting for dinner, staying a night or few, or holding your wedding on their grounds. Especially when planning a wedding, as you can imagine, it’s a comforting feeling to know that genuinely warm-hearted people are treating not only you but your family and friends like their very own. Our wedding guests, both those staying on the property and not, were taken aback at how hospitable the team was throughout the entire wedding weekend. It was a lasting impression made on all, for sure.

In reality our summer wedding couldn’t have possibly been the smashing success it was without the entire team’s dedication and support, including: Chris, Kateri, Emily, Chef Nazie, Charlie, Bryan, Sally, and everyone else behind the scenes. They so effortlessly took on the major responsibility of ensuring our big day was everything we dreamed of... and then some! Like bosses!!! It was really such a relief to know our wedding was entrusted in the very best of hands and that mine and my husband’s only concern was to enjoy ourselves. They made sure of it!

We are still daydreaming about the wedding weekend and our guests are still raving, now months later, about it as well- saying it was honestly the best wedding they’d ever been to!

To the Foxfire team, we couldn’t be more grateful for their delivery of our best weekend ever! Everything was so on point from beginning to end, every moment of every day. Having our wedding at Foxfire was such a dream. The dream! We can’t wait to come back and do it again to renew our vows! Any excuse to visit, we are down. Trust- this is the type of location you will plan to visit soon and often.

And if considering having your wedding here, honestly the decision should be a NO-BRAINER. DO IT!!!

I don't think we have done better. Everyone was amazed by the venue, the food, the drinks, the glass house. Everything was perfect on every level.

As wedding industry insiders ourselves, Sean and I knew a lot about the kind of experience we wanted to offer our own wedding guests. It was essential to us to gather together friends and family for more than just a few hours, so we could truly show each guest how much they meant to us, and that helped us narrow things down to a weekend-long wedding. We also chose to keep our guest count on the smaller side so we could lavish a few instead of struggling to feed hundreds. We wanted something that felt cozy but formal, with good food and drink and a raging dance party.

When I found Foxfire Mountain House online, everything about it resonated with me, from its location in our beloved NY state, to the decor and the October availability. I was so thrilled when Sean said he loved it enough to book it, sight unseen, for our October wedding.

As a wedding photographer, I know there are some venues that look better in photos than they feel in real life, and that's always a bummer. Foxfire is the opposite. There is so much magic in the air, from the smells of crackling fires to the sounds of the breeze in the leaves, and of course that sweet sweet limited cell service that means you were forced to be present to savor it all. These are aspects you cannot capture in an image, but that made our weekend straight up MAGIC.

Jannah, Kateri, Chris and Chef Daniel were so incredible in their respective roles, as were their supporting teammates (Sally being a favorite). They were always there when we needed them, but we never felt they were too doting or too present; it felt like we had full reign of the property with our guests, but with support.

My vendors and I are already planning a girls' retreat trip, and Sean and I hope we can return again and again for our anniversary and maybe to capture some other weddings. We will RAVE about our experience here for the rest of our lives.

If you're looking for a beautifully unique place to host your wedding...than look no further. There are no words. My husband and I literally don't have words for how dreamy the Foxfire team made our wedding weekend. It was beyond our expectations. Everyone's expectations! We chose the location and area, because there's quit actually something in the water, the air... the people. We wanted our guests to feel that too. There's not a doubt in my mind they did. Too many memories to count! From the food, the flowers, the booze (so. much. BOOZE.), the service, the attention to detail at every turn. From the moment we checked in, to the moment we left...everything was taken care of. We just can't thank them enough. No question it will be BEYOND your wildest expectations. It was magic. Pure magic. I mean it when I say, they'll share a piece of our hearts forever.

Wow. Just wow. This is a very special place and a surprising value. We got married here two weeks ago. It was important to us to be able to reserve a place for an entire weekend and accommodate our guests on our near the site. We were able to sleep half of our guests on site and the rest within 5-10 mins away. It is such a beautiful location with so many areas of the property to enjoy throughout the entire weekend.

The food was incredible (I'm a chef in NYC, btw) and all of our guests couldn't get over how good the food was! That almost never happens at a wedding. There is no set selection of dishes too. If there's something you love, they'll make it for you. Also, the cocktails and wine were awesome! We did the primo package, but it was still reasonable.

The staff was not only good to us, but super friendly and kind to our guests. The beds are SO comfy. The décor is a cozy, trendy vintage vibe that we and our guests really enjoyed.

They are super flexible- we were able to include a lot of personal touches in our special day, so it felt truly unique and "us". Jannah and Savanna were incredibly helpful with coordinating ahead of time and on the day of. They are so patient and sweet- key during such an important and love-filled weekend!

Thank you, Foxfire, for making our day beautiful and magical! Even though it was quite cold outside and we planned the whole event very (very!) last minute and long-distance, everyone at the Foxfire ensured the ceremony and dinner were perfect, well-timed and that our guests enjoyed themselves. Jannah, you rock!

went to a wedding at foxfire and they totally botched the entire thing!
a storm in the area knocked out the power but the venue and staff were entirely unprepared for this event! the food was served cold. the staff never addressed the guests informing us what was going on and when trying to see what the issue was the staff was no where to be found. owner of the venue offered guests to stay across the street at the hotel that had back up power because they were prepared for such events. the couple's band was never able to play and other vendors were never able to perform their services because of the lack of back up power. bathrooms in the main house were overflowing with feces! what a crazy, unprofessionally handled wedding reception! not to mention the staff's attitude toward guests! a memorable wedding but for all the wrong reasons! my lord
