This is a beautiful and cozy place for a reception. It fits 100 people comfortably. We had 140 people and had to move 4 tables after dinner to storage to make a big dance floor. (It worked fine, for us!) The gardens in the side yard made an impressive cocktail hour. There is a faux fireplace with a mantle that can be decorated. The front porch has a small seating area. There is a grand piano, full big kitchen, wooden floors, lots of windows, ceiling fans, etc. It was a great value to rent. We did have to plan everything ourselves. More work, but it made it more personal.

We rented the Fort Lauderdale Women's Club for our wedding in July of 2017 and everything was perfect. The venue is stunning, the manager on site was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Beautiful hardwood floors, big windows, absolutely breathtaking gardens, and more! They worked with our caterer, coordinator, and band so well and the whole night was magical. The venue includes tables and chairs, beautiful decorations inside, a lovely kitchen and can also include the park next door for some outdoor fun. The location is also great, right downtown and very close to hotels.

The building itself was historic and beautiful which is what drew us there in the first place. When we began working with JoAnn for scheduling, our hopes got progressively more dim. This is to say nothing negative about the character of the staff, but only to suggest they seek an intern to handle appointments, possibly a part time staff member, or someone retired with a business background looking to make a little extra cash to assist in event coordinating. I made payment and my date was not reserved and I was scheduled over having to wait for someone who was sitting on my date to be moved, I was not forwarded receipts of my payment which I was told I would be, misinformation was given about the park rental and I had to report to the Director of Parks for the city how the sale was being advertised, the email listed on the website I was told I wasn't getting a response from because it was old, and the number noted on the site does not allow for voicemail. There is no professionalism so though the price was appealing, keep in mind you get what you pay for. I would have spent thousands snd thousands more if I knew it was between coming out of pocket for the wedding reception of my dreams or not having one at all. We had to cancel due to testing positive for Covid-19 and though we are in a state of emergency, our deposit was completely swallowed. With a request for medical documentation, if provided, the payment should have at bare minimum been refunded 50%. I got my park payment back, but if you rent it do it through the city, as even getting that small amount was delayed and the only response regarding the check not being sent with appropriate timing was that they're "trying to hold the club together during Covid." If the pandemic is an excuse to hold money for services not rendered then it should have also been a legitimate concern when hosting a large group event where the clients did test positive the week of the reception and a refund should have been given. My assumption is the club is running off of swallowed deposits and avoiding the responsibility of hosting. If you know someone on the inside then you may have better luck with communication, but if you are an outsider to this organization this is not the place for you. The stress that comes with being a bride should not be added onto, your big day should not be put in jeopardy because this organization lacks in business and customer service skills.

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I booked my wedding 5 months in advance only to find the facility was double-booked about 1 week and half before my wedding. They were extremely unprofessional and had to seek legal assistance over the matter. The facility may be affordable but remember in life you get what you pay for.
