I could not be happier that I chose Floyd’s to cater my aquarium wedding. Melanie was so easy to work with, worked with us through a couple of tastings, always warm and friendly. The wait and bar staff were wonderful. They made extra care to ensure my husband and I were making time to eat. The food was excellent, with guests especially raving about the crab cake appetizers, and the shrimp and grits. Would absolutely recommend Floyd’s, again and again!

If food and service are very important to you, Floyd's 1921 will not disappoint. They took special interest in our desires, were attentive throughout the whole process, and went above and beyond any chance they got! We didn't have to worry about a thing! The food was delicious, and the service impeccable! The bar tab did add up (we did wine and beer only and didn't establish a limit- which was an option), but it was all well worth it in the end! My guests raved about the food and were glad to have the leftover beer for the after-party! (Haven't gotten photos of the food yet)

If I could give infinity stars to Floyds 1921 - I would!! I always said I will have them cater my wedding once the day comes! My husband fell in love with the hospitality from Chef Floyd and his wife, Shana (both owners). I grew up in Morehead City but we now live in Texas. Planning was a bit tough due to the location barrier but Floyd's made it NO PROBLEM! They were so understanding and worked around our schedules for planning and food tastings. We had our first tasting 18 months before our wedding. This took a huge weight off our shoulders during wedding planning. We picked 2 plated meals for our wedding reception: Shrimp & Grits with Tasso Ham Gravy and Ham with a Bourbon Honey Sauce paired with garlic green beans and rosemary potatoes. We also had passed appetizers: Fried buffalo oysters with blue cheese grits, Chicken salad tarts, and veggie spring rolls. They ensured the bridal party had enough drinks and appetizers while we were taking photos and missing the cocktail hour! They were our bartender during our wedding service and they did such a great job! I have to give the Floyds team a HUGE shoutout. My venue was not the most accommodating to them. Floyds did this entire catering job OUTSIDE! My venue had a catering facility but for some reason would not allow Floyd's in there. In any case, I still received oodles of compliments from my guests about how delicious all of the food was.

We had our rehearsal dinner on their outside patio. It was truly LOVELY! Chef Floyd roasted a pig and we had mac and cheese, collards, baked beans, corn bread, & banana pudding. The weather was perfect and the patio made for a gorgeous atmosphere! They coincidentally had an amazing blue grass band playing the night of our rehearsal!

Lastly- We had a Sunday Brunch at the restaurant after the wedding. The brunch was AMAZING!! It was so nice getting compliments about how delicious and how excellent the service was. THANK YOU FLOYDS for the best food!!!!!!!!!

Teresa and Diane were great to work with. Teresa was quick to respond to my emails and questions. The food was excellent especially the seafood. We couldn't of picked a better caterer for our wedding. We go down to Emerald Isle, NC once a year and we make it a point to eat at Floyd's 1921 during the week we are there.

Mattie is your go-to gal for your catering and reception needs. She works directly with the owner, so special requests can be taken seriously in a quick enough time frame. She truly is the perfect fit for being the main point of contact for event planning by knowing that food planning is not as black and white as one might think. The pricing is also fair as well for the quality of food. I look forward to continue my planning with her.

Floyd's 1921 even accommodates the picky eaters out there (including myself), so if one needs to plan 'off the menu' items for catering, it is totally possible if needed. I didn't need to since its selection is big enough for my taste buds.

If you think there's not much selection in Morehead City, NC, think again.

Floyd's catered my wedding at a vacation home in Pine Knoll Shores, NC in July 2013. We had approximately 90 people and tons of dietary restrictions. Kerri was great to work with in advance - very organized, responsive, and friendly and Floyd was fabulous at our tasting. On the day of the event they arrived on time, put the food out as scheduled and then packaged everything up for us. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend them.

We worked with Jackie Filzen with Floyd's 1921 for the catering for our wedding. She was great! She helped us decide on the amount of food for the cocktail hour as well as the dinner based on the number of guests expected. Everything was declicious! The caterers also made sure that we had drinks and appetizers delivered to us since we were missing out on the cocktail hour because we were having pictures done. This was much appreciated!

Everyone commented on how wonderful the food was. And how great the bartenders and servers were. Our venue was outside and it rained the day of the wedding which resulted in some last minute changes. Jackie made sure everything was handled and we didn't have to worry about anything.

I would gladly recommend Floyd's 1921 to others.

from start to finish, Floyd's 1921 was awesome! they were easy to work with, extremely helpful and responsive, professional, detail oriented and friendly. they thought of everything. everyone i talked to thought the food was delicious. the employees that were here the day of the wedding were all so nice and helpful. it was a truly great experience working with them.

Floyd's is willing to create a menu to our specifications. EVERYTHING we have tried there has been delicious. My fiancee even ate broccoli and said it was good, so that's a true test to them. They are good at communicating and we are very excited to have them at our wedding.
