The spacious meadow, framed by ponderosa pines, is perfect for your outdoor ceremony, and our pavilion tent can accommodate up to 250 guests. The venue also includes an outdoor dance floor in the reception area, surrounded by bistro lights for a magical evening under the stars. As a dark sky city, Flagstaff’s stars shine brighter than in other cities, creating a truly magical atmosphere for your celebration. Additional amenities include a large yurt, patio and deck space for mingling, and optional overnight accommodations for you and your guests.

Made my wedding perfect

What a stunning venue! Everyone there is super sweet, and amazing. Super budget friendly, and the perfect place for a crisp fall wedding. The meadow where the ceremony is was perfect. The weather was beautiful, it was right before sunset, and is just the perfect place for an outdoor wedding. We got ready in the cabin, and had tattoos set up in the yurt. We had plenty of indoor room to get ready, and to hide me until the ceremony. My family and friends were all so in love with the venue, and they can't stop talking about it. My wedding was absolutely perfect!

Day Saver!

It decided to rain and hail an hour before the ceremony, the staff was super accommodating and quickly helped move everything around! We went from being married in the meadow to being married in the big yurt! They checked in on us and made sure everything was being done to ensure our wedding happened! It was a gorgeous day and we wouldn't change it!

Beautiful fall wedding outdoors

The Arizona Nordic Center was the perfect place for my outdoor fall wedding! The aspen leaves were starting to change colors, the fall sunset made for beautiful pictures, and dancing under the trees was magical. The staff are helpful and friendly, with some flexibility to their contracts.

We had a great experience with the Nordic Center! They were super helpful and willing to accommodate our set-up ideas, as well as help us think through how things should be arranged for our guests. They also were a tremendous help with last minute plan changes, and helped make our day really wonderful for us and our guests.

This was a great venue that was reasonably priced, and resulted in a beautiful ceremony (We had the larger, Meadow location).
The coordinator was very helpful, and it was nice that a generator and chair set up was provided. We did semi circle seating, and they had no problem with it.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the site was changing when we were looking into booking, and they recently made a rule that the larger meadow ceremony location is not available if you're only doing the ceremony at the Nordic Center, not the whole ceremony & reception package. The coordinator told us that we could still book the Meadow location for ceremony only, since they had not updated the site yet, and assured us that we had booked that location for our date. Everything was great until the week before the wedding when we went to scope the place out and plan the decorating more closely. We went with the coordinator to the site, and she told us that no one had booked the larger meadow location, so we were still free to use that one. It was a little bit disconcerting, because we had no idea that they were still offering the location to other couples (we thought we had booked it), but everything turned out well in the end. Also, be sure to arrange for a backup in case of bad weather, since they do not provide a backup location.
All in all, because the site is updated, and as long as you get everything in writing, this location will give you a gorgeous wedding among the aspens, and your pictures will turn out stunning :)

This was the best priced venue with everything included that i wanted. They provided set-up of table, chairs, and linens. I brought my own alcohol, food, and decorations. A lot of places have a set list of caterers, but I was able to pick who I wanted and have them come. I was also able to hire a bar tender and buy my own liquor which made for a very cheap open bar!!!

It was hard to get a hold of the coordinator at times, but for what I got it was well worth it. I had an amazing wedding with a beautiful back drop.

We had our wedding at the Flagstaff Nordic Center in June 2013. The setting is absolutely beautiful and our guests raved about how much they loved being there. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. We rented the center overnight and so our guests could stay in the cabins and yurts onsite, which everyone loved. On the whole, the staff at the Nordic Center was very helpful and pretty easy to get a hold of, although there were a few times when there was some miscommunication about meeting times, etc. At one point I was told there would not be napkins included in the linen rentals so I bought napkins, only to find out the day before the wedding that they were included. Also, there were some massive storage crates that were parked right by the tent and were in the view of everyone at the wedding that I was not pleased with. They ended up on a lot of our pictures and are pretty unsightly. They were there all day during the wedding to deal with problems and were very helpful although the power did go out twice during the evening reception because they are on generator power. They fixed it pretty quick, but the whole party was plunged into darkness for a few minutes. The Nordic Center is definitely more of a rustic venue - your guests will have to walk on dirt and woodchips and the bathrooms aren't especially nice - but the setting is truly gorgeous.

Do not recommend

It's taken me a year to write this review without being livid. My partner and I fell in love with this venue for its stunning views of nature and the flexibility they offered. HOWEVER, their team (Sarah, Morgan, and Kendra) was horrible to work with. They overcharged me twice, they had to reschedule the venue walk through with my planner DAY OF because they forget they had a wedding that day; which was also inconvenient since I drove from PHX and my planner from Tucson. The WORST thought was that I paid to rent out every cabin and room they offered so that our day would just be filled with our wedding party. They double booked and did not communicate this with me, so when I got to the venue the day of our wedding, there were strangers everywhere and the rooms we paid for were filled with people who were not our guests. They did not give me any notice or apologize for this major inconvenience, nor did they do anything to make up for it. What they should have done was paid for a hotel for all of the people they booked who were not apart of the wedding. Instead, they did not give me a refund for the rooms, offer an apology, or give me any advanced notice.
