About
First Friends Meeting is a simple and elegant place to wed in the heart of Greensboro, NC. We are centrally located to UNCG, Friendly Center, Downtown and many hotels, including the Proximity and O.Henry. Founded in 1892, First Friends Meeting is a gathering place for those who "seek peace and pursue it." The Meetinghouse includes a variety of spaces that work well for office and group meetings, retreats, workshops, receptions, and weddings. We gladly welcome LGBTQ, interfaith, and non-Quaker weddings. The large Meetingroom can seat up to 300. A beautiful gathering room provides an intimate setting for wedding parties to dress and get ready. Our well-cared for grounds boast lots of green space and several magnolias, perfect for wedding party and family pictures. Our sound system and A/V equipment are available. Our fellowship hall is also available, should you like to host your rehearsal dinner or reception on-site. The Meetinghouse includes a full kitchen, equipped for warming pre-prepared or catered foods. The Meeting Room and lower floor are both handicapped accessible, but at this point there is no elevator. First Friends Meeting is a smoke and alcohol-free environment.
