My husband & I found this church & knew the second we walked in to the meeting room that it was utterly perfect. We wanted something intimate, simple & elegant & this checked every box!! The windows are stunning! The hardwood floors add such a beautiful visual. & the staff that works at the church are the sweetest group of ladies! We feel so utterly blessed to have found this space.

First Friends Meeting was the most amazing venue to work with for our wedding. The entire staff of First Friends were more than accommodating and helpful. The space is GORGEOUS, and the location is perfection.

Location: First Friends is located almost exactly half way between downtown Greensboro and friendly shopping center, it is also located very close to Wendover avenue (like 2 blocks away), allowing the venue to easily accommodate a separate wedding and reception location. We could have gotten to anywhere in Greensboro in under 15 minutes from the ceremony.

Services: The wedding coordinator, Kristina, was AMAZING! I can not say enough wonderful things about her. Not once did I feel she was pressured or frustrated, which was a HUGE relief to someone like me. Her ability to keep a calm demeanor under pressure, her organizational skills, and her planning skills were excellent. Deborah, the pastor, was equally amazing. She is full of love and joy; she was a natural choice for us. I also love that she is open to all wedding celebrations and worked so diligently to ensure our ceremony truly reflected us.

Decor/Ceremony Space: The sanctuary/meeting room is GORGEOUS. I mean drop dead gorgeous. They have HUGE windows which let in beautiful light, especially for an afternoon wedding. The floor is cork and wood which is just incredible. There is an organ (M.P. Möller, Inc., Opus 10443, 1968) which sounds incredible, as well as a piano. The meeting room itself is a beautiful shade of mint green, but given the amount of natural light it really is very neutral. The entry to the meeting house is beautiful as well. The furnishings and decor are very simple allowing you to really customize the space for your big day.

First Friends truly embraces the spirit of acceptance, understanding, and simplicity. They are conveniently located, and the space is breathtaking. The biggest perk of the entire place is the staff. They are as beautiful as the meeting house itself.

I can't say enough wonderful things about having our wedding and reception at First Friends Meeting. They were so open to us having the type of wedding we wanted to have. Anything we needed or didn't know we needed was done for us! Our reception was held there too which made it nice for guests - since they just had to go downstairs. Our caterer LOVED the kitchen and the easy access from the parking lot. He actually did all the prep work and cooking there so it was fresh and not reheated. I have NOTHING negative to say!

We are so thankful for the opportunity to have been married at First Friends Meetinghouse. It is a beautiful meetingroom, full of wonderful light, that provided the perfect location for our ceremony. Nancy - and everyone on staff - was so helpful throughout the planning process and made us feel so comfortable and prepared for our day. The best gift of all is Deborah. She has such a wonderfully positive spirit, and she made us feel so calm and so blessed, both on our wedding day and on all the days leading up to that day. She fills the room with warmth and love, and her spirit helps you feel God’s presence.

We had our wedding and reception at First Friends Meeting (Quaker) in Greensboro, NC and it was the perfect place for us. The minister and church staff were extremely helpful, bending over backwards to ensure that our special event was what we had envisioned to start our lives together. The sanctuary was bright and airy, providing a simple, yet elegant space for us to share our vows. And, having our reception right downstairs in the fellowship hall was so convenient and made it possible for us to have everyone take part. We could not recommend this venue more highly!

We used them for our ceremony. it was lovely and perfect. the staff went above and beyond. We just wish we could do it again.

Excellent wedding ceremony venue. It's a great value, and it has a simple, beautiful interior space that can be left as-is for a low-key ceremony, or could be viewed as a blank slate for those looking to create a unique atmosphere. It was exactly what we were looking for. It's also very convenient to downtown Greensboro, so off-site receptions are not a problem. We had a beautiful wedding, thank you First Friends!
