We had a backyard wedding of 130 people, and were incredibly lucky to secure Emmy as our planner after she planned a family friend's wedding (which was incredible). With backyard wedding planning, we had to essentially build a venue, and I can honestly say we could not have done it without Emmy.

She gracefully checked off tasks that we wouldn't have known where to begin with—managing generators, constant communication with vendors, transportation schedules, vendor load-ins, timelines, supplies, and so much more—all with a smile on her face and without dropping the ball once.

Outside of the logistical planning, Emmy is a true professional. She has a calming nature and warmth that truly took away a lot of the stress with planning and was key in managing all of the people involved in planning our wedding.

When I think of our wedding I truly can't come up with anything that went wrong, and I know I have Emmy to thank for this. We were able to completely enjoy the day and live presently instead of worrying about logistics, and I am so grateful and could not recommend EWhitney Events more!!

I don't know what we would have done without Emmy. We were trying to plan our wedding long distance and it was proving to be very frustrating. She stepped in and helped us with everything from finding and finalizing vendors to making sure the day itself went smoothly. She was very organized, knowledgeable, and understood exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day. She has excellent taste and attention to detail. If you don't think you need a wedding planner I would strongly urge you to reconsider. I think she saved us a lot of time and aggravation. I really don't know what we would have done without her. Booking wedding planning services with Emmy from EWhitney events was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our guests are still raving about our wedding, and we still can't believe that it all worked out exactly the way we had planned.

Emmy was very professional and easy to work with. Through out the whole process she kept us on task and checked in on all of the details. She helped us to find the right vendors and handled all of the communications, which was so helpful. Emmy was very flexible and always there when we needed to discuss ideas or make decisions.

On the weeks and days leading up to the wedding, Emmy was our lifesaver. Especially on the day of the wedding, I really cannot say enough about everything that she did. My goal in hiring a planner was to not have to worry about anything during my wedding day- I didn't want to answer any questions, remind anyone about the timeline, or try to deal with any issues. I just wanted to get married and have a blast with my family and friends. Emmy made this a reality. Each part of the day unfolded as we had planned, since Emmy was working constantly behind the scenes to make it happen. I actually didn't even have to speak with Emmy much on the day of the wedding, because we had so many conversations beforehand, that I was shocked that we didn't need to recap on the day of. This was such a relief, because I was able to focus on other things instead of wrapping up details.

Emmy was absolutely essential and wonderful for coordinating our wedding. She reached out to all out vendors the week before the wedding and took all communication out of my hands, which was much appreciated during the hectic week of the wedding. In the months leading up to the wedding, she helped build a detailed timeline for all parties involved, and distributed that timeline to all vendors. Most importantly, on the day of she could not have been more helpful. There were definitely a few things that went wrong with our vendors, and Emmy handled them swiftly and so that I never knew there was an issue. She is creative, resourceful, and excellent at dealing with a variety of personality types both with guests and vendors! I would 100% recommend her to someone else, if they want their wedding to go as smoothly as possible, and work with such a pleasant, great person at the same time!!

Emmy is quite simply the most lovely, organized, patient and thorough wedding planner. We used Emmy for her Same-Day wedding planning services, but Emmy was so much more than just a same day planner. Soon after we got engaged, Emmy made the hour drive to come down to our venue site to check things out. Within a weeks time, she had turned around an initial timeline of the weekend. Our ceremony was in the backyard of my parents house, and though this may seem like a simple enough idea, Emmy quickly took control and helped us navigate the less glamorous side of making it actually happen.

Throughout the year long planning process, I rarely made a decision before running it by Emmy. Leading up to the wedding day, Emmy checked in with all of our vendors, confirming arrival times, equipment needs, whether or not they needed a meal, etc. Again, I was just blown away by her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile (without charging you for every minute that you talk with her on the phone.) There were so many times throughout the year long wedding process that my Mom and I turned to each other and said, "Thank god for Emmy!" On the day before the wedding, our minister was late to the wedding rehearsal, so Emmy stepped right up and ran the entire wedding rehearsal herself (with a calm disposition and a smile.) Then, on the evening before the wedding, we couldn't figure out how to fold the origami sail boats that we were using for place cards. Emmy reassured us that we need not worry, and she actually went to Michaels, found a solution, and made the place card table look far better than I ever could have imagined. Our guests were blown away. By far, the best part about having Emmy was knowing that she knew our wedding so well, inside and out. And so, on our wedding day, we are all able to relax and thoroughly enjoy the day knowing that the logistics were in great hands. Emmy, we cannot thank you enough for making the wedding of our dreams come to life!

Emmy of EWhitney Events is amazing! We would highly recommend EWhitney Events to any couple looking for a wedding planner. Emmy did our day of coordination for the wedding day. She did an excellent job with keeping everything on schedule/creating the schedule. She called and confirmed all of my vendors two weeks before the wedding, which was a huge task that we didn’t need to worry about. The morning of my wedding there were a couple of things that needed to be changed around, I called Emmy and she took care of everything!
