From day one, Nellie was genuine, caring, and truly invested in making our day everything we dreamed of. She went above and beyond in every detail—always one step ahead, always prepared, and always there to keep me calm when the stress tried to creep in. I had a clear vision of what I wanted my special day to look like, and she didn’t just meet that vision- she blew it out of the water! Nellie is fantastic! Hands down the reason why everything on my wedding went smoothly! She is so organized, on top of everything, easy to work with! She made the event what I wanted! I would recommend her to everyone!

I don't even know where to start with the service provided by Events By Nellie. We booked Nellie and her team for the Month of Coordination package and it was perfect. Nellie and her team were excellent to work with in the months leading up to our wedding and Becky provided top notch DOC services the day of. Becky and Casey were able to keep our rehearsal moving along and provided easy to understand instruction. The day of, I didn't have to worry about anything. Candles were lit, tables were set up, and people were taken care of. All I had to worry about was showing up and marrying my husband :)

We used Nellie for stationary services as well. She provided proofs and she handled the printing, addressing, AND mailing of all the invitations. A huge weight lifted from my shoulders and our invites were simple and gorgeous. She also provided several other stationary items such as social media signs, bar menus, and place cards. All I had to do was provide the names and addresses.

Overall, a wonderful experience with Nellie and her team of professionals. I would highly recommend to anyone looking into a wedding coordinator.

I am so, so happy that we hired Events By Nellie. Her organization helped us keep track of everything that we needed to do for the entire year of wedding planning, and she helped make our wedding day perfect and unforgettable.
She personally helped us with so many tasks! She edited the text for our many invitations and programs, shared her experience with the vendors we were considering (which we LOVED). Nellie gave us ideas for rituals, our wedding website, rehearsal dinner, girls luncheon, guest list numbers, signage, aisle decoration, and fun activities for bridesmaids and groomsmen. She communicated with our venue often and made sure everything was set, and she decorated our venue so beautifully..she even tested out how our altar would look prior to the wedding because we had an unusual request to have a painting in the background! She truly went above and beyond.
Nellie's prompt responses for so many of our questions were so crucial. She answered ALL of our detailed questions and thought of every detail of our wedding day. Her correspondence was always professional, and I felt relieved that she would know how to take care of things. She helped us put together our timeline in great detail, and helped us think through so many things I would have forgotten if it wasn't for her attention to detail! She worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, and was such a life saver from the day we hired her! Thank you so much, Events By Nellie - for making my wedding day the best day of my life!

Nellie and her crew were absolutely fabulous to work with on our special day. I was the first person in my friend group and in my family to get married and she provided me with so many “insider” tips & tricks on my wedding day and the weeks before that I would have never even thought of. Her attention to detail and her hard work also helped keep the day flowing smoothly. Her and her team were so helpful setting up a lot of my reception decorations and coordinating with all the vendors before the ceremony. As a result, my mom and bridesmaids could enjoy the day pampering, talking, and relaxing rather than having to run around the wedding reception to get it ready for our guests. Most of all though, she is so friendly and thoughtful that it was like having another good friend there to hang out with on the big day. As someone who was originally on the fence whether or not I should get a wedding coordinator, I can’t say enough how happy I was to have Nellie there to put the extra touch on things and to help make my wedding day perfect!!!

Nellie made our wedding experience better than I could have ever imagined! We used the "wedding weekend" package and Nellie created all the paper products for the ceremony and reception (e.g., programs, signage, table signage, etc) based on our invitations. Nellie was always available to answer questions in the months before the wedding, and was instrumental in coordinating all things wedding in the month of the wedding (wedding was at end of June, 2015). Wedding day, Nellie and her team ensured the day went smoothly. I had absolutely no creative vision of my wedding ceremony or reception, and Nellie and her team coordinated with the other vendors and made both ceremony site and reception site look beautiful. I was not aware of any problems on the day of the wedding, but I'm sure any problems that arose, Nellie and her team solved and kept under wraps. Most of my wedding guests commented on how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed the wedding. That would not have been the case were Nellie and her team not part of that day. One aspect of working with Nellie that absolutely made her the best choice possible for a wedding planner, was her creativity and guidance on small details of the wedding. I did not enjoy wedding planning and struggled with decisions on small details (e.g., how to set up the tables, what signage was needed, even what color shoes the bridesmaids should wear). Nellie had solutions, ideas, and resources at every turn. Her help with all the little things in a wedding that become cumbersome, was extremely calming and instilled confidence the day would go well. I did not want to hire a wedding planner at any point in the wedding, but my mother and brother convinced me to do so. There is not a better decision we made during the wedding planning process, than to hire Events by Nellie!

Hiring Nellie took the stress out of wedding planning. We got her "month of" package which included unlimited hours on our wedding day. In the planning when any question came up for who would do something we would just say "Nellie can do that" and it made us feel re-assured and confident going into our wedding day that all details were covered.

Any question I had outside of the month we hired her for, she would quickly answer so we could keep on track for wedding planning. She came in day-of ready to tackle our table decorations, room decorations and keep our timeline on track. If there were any hiccups, Nellie had an easy solution and kept the wedding day on track. She stayed until the end to do the check-out with the venue and did the things we didn't want to burden family with. She always went above and beyond and put our family at ease.

That's the benefit of hiring a planner. Nellie was the person we could turn to and would take care of all of the nitty gritty details that we didn't want to do or didn't know how to do. You want your family to just enjoy the day rather than worry about anything.

Nellie is a joy to work with and we couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Nellie was absolutely remarkable. She put up with me AND my mother (and mother in-law) throughout the entire wedding process. She was super responsive to all of my phone calls, emails, and I specifically remember sitting in a parking lot talking through things with her for an hour three months before the wedding during a freak out moment. The day of I couldn't have worried about anything even if I wanted to because Nellie was a step ahead. She was at meetings with me, included in all emails, and knew everyone I was working with so I wouldn't be bothered on the big day! Not to mention when I bustle broke she was there with her "emergency kit" and fixed it for me! Our day was great largely in part because of her services.

While planning our wedding, the easiest and smartest decisions I made was hiring Events by Nellie. I was a very organized bride, with a small budget, and big wedding day ideas. During our pre-wedding meetings, Nellie helped me to understand how our timeline would run, how to schedule our staff, and had soo many original ideas that I never would have thought of. Nellie also had many great connections in the Kansas City area which tremendously helped in choosing our vendors. With every question I had, Nellie had a fabulous answer.

Nellie was our savior on our wedding day. I had a fear that I would turn into Brizezilla when the first issue arose. Nellie did an amazing job of handling everything without coming to the bride. She was calm, organized, and had all of the answers. Nellie also continually made me feel comfortable by checking in and letting me know how great everything was going. I felt like I was also informed without feeling stressed out.

After our wedding, I had many family members and vendors ask me who “our wonderful planner” was. They had many compliments on how nice, understanding, accommodating, and professional Nellie was. Again, Events by Nellie was one of the best decisions I made for our big day and I would absolutely recommend her services.
