Kem helped decorate our Sangeet (Indian pre-wedding ceremony), ceremony, and reception. She made each event beautiful while keeping us in budget. She was very thorough in the planning process, and gave great recommendations on how to achieve the look that we wanted. She provided everything we needed decoration wise, including flowers, arches, and table settings. It was so easy to work with Kem, and we highly recommend her for your events.

Kem helped with our wedding planning which started as her to by my day of coordinator but ended up helping with almost everything that needed done the last 3 months. She exceeded all my expectations. My wedding day was perfect and I owe a lot to Kem for that.

At the suggestion of my daughter-in-law, we called Events by Kem to plan our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. From our first meeting to our last, Kem was a joy to work with. She was on time for all meetings, very professional, listened to our ideas and gave us some great suggestions of her own; things we hadn't thought of. The table settings, including the center pieces were perfect. She even made a special back drop for photos for us. And, with all that, our budget was met. I recommend Events by Kem, and certainly plan on using her for our next big event.

Kem exceeded all expectations!

My husband and I hired Kem to plan our belated wedding reception brunch. It was a more casual non traditional event and we felt like Kem understood our vision and our budget.

Let me first say what I loved - Kem made the venue look AMAZING. She did a great job with the tables and the flowers and the arch. She gave us useful ideas and feedback on everything from lighting to games to gifts for guests.

Kem also did a great job managing emotions - she's great at juggling priorities of bride, groom, and family members.

But I'd also like to share some of the limitations, just so you know what to expect.

Kem does not have an organized checklist or timeline of events - you're better off using some of the free tools on the web for that. She does not keep everyone cced on emails and ensure they're on the group texts. She's more of a calling than an email or text person anyway.

She may not remember the relevant details - we didn't have a bridal party and I don't speak with my father and yet several times we had conversations about father daughter dances or where to put the bridal party.

And on the day of I realized I needed a different kind of attention - one example is that Kem created a seating chart board a month in advance of the event. Many folks changed their RSVP even up to the day of - the chart had to be made twice at our expense and then ended up needing day of updates anyway. And as guests started arriving my husband and I greeted them at the door but Kem was over by the band. She did help get some extra chairs set up but we had no way to let her know when someone unexpectedly showed up and was about to go see they weren't on the chart. Yikes! The highlight of that issue was that my sister ended up not having a place to sit when my husband's high school friends table was more full than expected. I felt bad for everyone.

Overall - Kem does a lovely job and if you're doing something smaller scale I think she's perfect for you. Or if you are super timely and organized and need someone to handle making the whole thing lovely.
