Dhina is an artist. I called the shop in tears explaining my situation - my local tailor destroyed my satin Monique Lhuillier Ballgown. There wasn’t much fabric left to work with, but Dhina made it wearable (and beautiful!) again. I now go to her for everything. She’s far from me but worth the trip.

This tailor is the best in the business. My wedding gown fit like a glove. My bridesmaids dresses were originally trumpet styled dresses and turned into mermaid dresses by Digna. She also hemmed and tailored both my mom and mother in laws gown. Both gowns were bought for over $500 Digna took good care of them and did an excellent job. I Highly recommend her!

I was recommended this business from the place I bought my second dress from. Unfortunately, they did not complete my gown in time. They told my mother and me that they would have my dress ready, that 2.5 months was more than enough time. This was not the case. I went to this business five (5!) times for fittings! 2 of those 5 visits (which is an hour drive from my house) she did not do any new alterations around the waist or bust which was huge ! I had to TELL Digna to take some of the bone out from the center of the dress!! As a professional, she should know to do that.

The last time I went was the day before hopping on my flight to my wedding... which she knew way ahead of time. The first time I arrived that morning I expected to pick up the gown pressed and ready to go, but she turned my mother and I away and said that she had other gowns in front of mine and asked that I return in the afternoon, which I did. At that time it was STILL not ready for pickup and she wouldn't let us even see the dress at all!!!! I asked her when it would be ready since I have to get on a plane 6am the next day and she said SHE DID NOT KNOW MAYBE 8pm!

I left Lynbrook to go to my other appointments and finish packing my bags without my reception dress. She called me THREE DAYS LATER when I was already in the Caribbean to tell me I can pick it up.... NOT PROFESSIONAL. I guess the dress wasn't as important to her since it was a second gown for me.

At any rate she ended up reimbursing me for the cost of the dress after a lot of back and forth. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TAILOR.
